I don't know how many updates I'll be putting up here, but I'll update Facebook daily - including pics. If you're not already my friend on Facebook, PM me and I'll send you the link to add me.
I had a great line worked about not being cool enough to be a facebook friend, and needing to send a pm to be that cool, but the moment has passed.

Been playing Epic Mickey...

I'm to the part where you get to go thru the "Wasteland" version of "..it's a small world." Tough level...at least for me...the Wiimote + Nunchuck controls are strange to me...but I'm learning.

Anyway in the IASW level...every once in a while I'll find one of those little dolls...make my Mickey walk right up and shake the Wiimote...WHACK!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: Worth the price of the game right there. :cool1::cool1:
How is Epic Mickey? My boys are 7 & 5 & 3. would they like watching it, or is it too scary?

also, 27 days! I'm very excited. My Brother is going, and he's already on the ADR's, so I dodged that bullet. It seemed safer to over-state the number of people, just in case he decided to go.
Also, i have an 11:50 Le Cellier (2nd of the week) and a 12:15 Rose & Crown. Any suggestions which one should I keep?:confused3

I'll be right here with ya. Hopefully we'll keep getting some good updates from the lucky ones down south.

While I don't get the chance to post much, I'll be around as well. Maybe we should start a Dis Dads NOT meeting in December thread. :sad2:

Now we're talking... did you guys happen to see the Punkin Chunkin on Discovery Channel over Thanksgiving? Not too often that Delaware makes it onto national TV...with the Mythbusters in attendance, to boot. :thumbsup2

Loved that show! Can you imagine throwing a pumpkin 3/4 of a mile away? Can you imagine a pumpkin landing in your yard from 3/4 of a mile away? I wanna build one. Maybe Fed can help design it...

we made it!! got up this morning at 2:30am and hit the road. pulled in at okw at 7:30pm. dd drove us in. all three computers are up and running and the christmas is almost done. ill talk to you guys later!!!:thumbsup2

Long day, but excellent results. :thumbsup2 Have a great time!

Hey guys-
We leave tomorrow morning for our flight to WDW. The weather forecast here is for heavy rain, 30-45 mph winds, 60 degrees, and possible thunder. Sounds like a great day to be flying, doesn't it? :rolleyes1

Weather for Orlando is heavy rain, thunder, and in the 60's. :confused3 Oh well, I guess the nice warm weather had to break down there sometime.... Wish it could of held on a little longer though.

To all the other DDC Dad's heading down- Have a great trip! See you in WDW! :wizard:

A quick look at the latest model runs this evening...I think any showers tomorrow will be done by noon or so in the WDW area. So the afternoon should be good...but cooler behind the front.

Stopher, the pictures are GREAT! Man, I want to see this show. Actually, I just want to see DL, period. I hope you're having a blast.

Awesome pics and videos!! Thanks for sharing these. not sure when we'll ever make it cross country to DL.

Very cool. Thanks for the pics & vids. One of these first days, I’m just going to have to dive into California just to see DL if for no other reason.

Wow, I would love to go to Disneyland to see that show Stopher. Really cool pictures... It's like the Bellagio fountains and Illuminations gave birth to a whole new monster of a show.

Ok guys - just for you - I skipped out on the group dinner and "forced fun" activity tonight to watch World of Color again. Here's the video snippet I took on my phone from the closing from the other night. This is from when I was right up along the fence at the water's edge.

This video is about 27 seconds long.

http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm34/stopher1_photos/Disneyland%202010-SOLO/?action=view&current=VID_20101128_224209.mp4

Tonight I took another video on my phone. I didn't have it out and ready when it actually started so I missed like the first two minutes since we were all mandated to put a password protection on our phones today, and I'm still getting used to it. I was in a different location tonight, and much, much farther away - off to the side but at the same time, had a great straight on view of the main mist screen. I couldn't zoom the video very well either, but I was able to capture more of the show's expanse that way. But because of it, a lot of the scenes appear darker than they are in reality. Again, a show like this is much better in person than on the internet, but I know that you might not be able to get out here for a while - years maybe. I wanted to share it, but Photobucket has a 10 minute limit, and the video is 27 minutes long.

Just to add a little extra information about the show... the lagoon is huge - not World Showcase huge, but huge. The fountains are all submerged during the day under the waterline, and then are raised up prior to showtime. There are three huge hydraulic "tables" that make up the fountain "floor". The combined table is about the size of a football field. So if you watch this video, just think about the size, especially when you see the animation on the mist screens. Also Mickey's Fun Wheel is about 80 feet high, and many of the fountains shoot up higher than the Fun Wheel.

If I find a way to get it uploaded, I'll post a link. Can't wait til we're back here in 4 weeks with the actual videocam to get a better recording.

Hey guys, haven't been around in a really long time. I see my name was removed from the list. Can I be a cool guy again? I still remember the secret handshake!

Praying they don't cancel your flight due to this storm system! As long as you can get above it you guys should be fine. I need to go back to your PTR and see what's in store for this most magical trip....

I can only imagine what this is like is person. I mean, the fountains at Epcot still amaze me... but to have all that going on at once... amazing. Of course, I'm the guy that would be asking the engineers how they got all that to work. The plumbing system alone must be a engineering marvel! Thanks again for sharing this with us... one day hope to get out that way.

Welcome back!! And thanks, Barry, for pointing out his membership. When I first saw his post I was flabbergasted! REMOVED FROM THE LIST?? NEVER!! :rotfl2: Although I'm sure there are a few nemesisisisisisis that would like certain other members removed :rolleyes1

Not that I'm aware of...but truthfully a WMD would be far too quick...wouldn't it? :confused3

Plus Mickey is armed with a magical paintbrush which shoots both paint and thinner like a flamethrower. :thumbsup2
