I've been at WDW during Jersey week twice, It was not too bad, but then again I know what to expect, how they will act, I can sit there and almost tell you thier next move, They will be loud, texting , cutting lines, and rude, no one else is there except them, I live at the shore, I see it all summer long, I can't wait to move to VA in 8yrs:woohoo:

:lmao: there just not use to the nj , ny, attidude!!! :lmao: i always said, theres a reason god made the deleware river. if her wanted them this far west, he would of built a bridge himself.:lmao: ( im just kidding by the way, dw was born and raised in nj and we kid each other all the time.) another one is when california slips into the ocean, the u.s. will tip and nj will be under water and southside easton will be beach front property!!!:lmao: it dont matter were you drive in the world, there is always a nj lic. plate riding your bumper or going 15 miles under the speed limit in front of you.check it out the next time you drive to wdw. look in the parking lot at the mk, if theres a car not between the lines,to far back,to far front, hogging two spots. 9 out of 10 will have nj plates on them.:lmao:

I feel pretty safe posting this because my wife's been so busy lately that she hasn't been on The DIS in forever. Hopefully she stays gone until I can get this answered.

Here's the thing. I would love to surprise my wife and kids with a trip to Disney next summer. We went two summers ago and the boys have been dying to go back. My wife wants to go also, but she thinks we need to wait another year, save up some money, do some home repairs, etc.

I'd like to save up the money without her knowing, because I really want it to be a surprise. But there's a catch. Like many husbands, my wife is our accountant. (I'm horrible with the old check book) She keeps track of everything, from what I get paid to what I spend. How do I save money without her noticing the money disappearing every week? I've thought about getting cash at the beginning of the week and telling her it's for me to eat at work. But the problem is that I bring my own lunch, so she'll get suspicious. I even thought about setting up a vacation account at work that would direct deposit X amount of money each paycheck. Problem with that is I'm on salary and she knows how much I make, right down to the penny. (guess I could lie and tell her I got a paycut, which she'd believe because my company has been making a bunch of cuts)

One thing I am doing is throwing all my change into a jar, but that'll get us to Disney in 2021, not 2011. LOL

So, what have you DISers? How can I put aside, say, $50-100 each week without her noticing? :rolleyes1

Thanks for any and all answers, even the ones telling me I'm stupid for even trying to go behind my wife's back. :rotfl::rotfl:

id watch hidding money from dw bunch, she may think your up to no good buddy. :thumbsup2

I definitely don't want her to think I'm having an affair, or doing something crazy on the side. We already work opposite shifts, so she's sleeping when I'm working and vice versa. Wouldn't want to add any suspicions to the situation.

Oh what a tangled web we weave... :rolleyes1

This sounds familiar...I can hide nothing from my accountant...err...wife.

I save money by getting money out at the ATM...say I could scoot by with $20 I get $30...my problem comes in not spending the money I have saved when things get tight.

I do this so when I buy her a Christmas or a B-day gift she might actually be surprised...never attempted a vacation amount. :scared:

Be very careful...while your intent is good...if your wife is anything like mine...and she finds you've been hiding allot of money for something like a vacation...she's liable to go all PMS-mode on you...:headache: ...or she could be very appreciative...:lovestruc Flip of the coin on what you get... :confused3

HEY NATE!!!

An answer to a question last night was CORN MAZE and I immediatly thought of you! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What about setting up a trading account (like etrade or ameritrade)? Tell her you want to save some money for later on in life (don't need to be specific) but you could set it up to withdraw $X per week or month from your checking account. You wouldn't necessarily need to even put that into stocks or anything risky. I know Ameritrade has a money market account that you can put the money into and let it earn a little bit of interest.

I have an Ameritrade account an that is where I stash my proverbial "6 months cushion." That money sits there and it isn't in a checking account so it helps avoid the temptation to spend it, and at the same time, it just takes a couple of days to get it back into the bank.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz2OThlRGQ4&feature=related here you go steve, phantom brass!! :thumbsup2 id love to stand in the center of that arc! they can make fun of the bandos all they want, but ive never seen a bikini like that on any sports field in my life. :lmao: (another one from the past. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PECUpJuUeAQ&p=FE67E98D98C13BC2&playnext=1&index=49

Thanks for the links (loved the bikini as well). When I was marching, my senior year we played a very similar arrangement of Stan Kenton’s "Malaguena". I always did (and still do) get chills just thinking about it. I’d like to say that we rocked it anywhere near as well as this version, but I ain’t that crazy.

So why am I posting at this time of the morning? Cause we’re headed of to a competition today and “I'm too excited to sleep”. The directors and the kids have made some major additions, changes and adjustments to the show since I posted the last video and we’ll see what this set of judges think about it. The busses LEAVE at 6:00 and as a member of the pit crew, I got to be up at the school by 5:00. If we do well, we won’t be back home until about 3:00am tomorrow. I know I’m nuts, but I love this stuff. I’ll let you know how it went after we get back. Y'all have a great weekend! :goodvibes
