Hey dads, as usual I am coming back on after being gone for several months. I see that yet another thread has had to be started! Thats so awesome! It looks like I will get to spend a lot more time keeping up with things as I have made a life changing decision in this last week. I have started a home business. I am more scared than I can say, but even more excited. This means that I will be home with my family. I even started coaching my son's soccer team! We have had two practices so far and I have to say that the enjoyment has rivaled anyhting that i have ever experienced. Im sorry I rambled but I had to share this excitement with some one. Thanks for listening and I hope tht every one has a terrific weekend!!
Congratulations! Hope everything goes well for you :thumbsup2
That made me laugh.

We're starting to move our 3yr old boy from his crib to a bed this week. Last night he was laying in bed and I went to close the shades (the bed is right in front of the window) and he says "Oh, now at bedtime I can call out the window to Skye and ask her to come over." Skye is the neighbor's 4 yr old girl.
A few years ago, a new neighbor moved in right next door. He was doing some fixing up of the house's 2nd bedroom which faced my driveway. We were chatting a little and he mentioned he had a daughter. I told him that the previous owners of the house had a daughter who had that same room. Her boyfriend would sneak in that window, and the girl wound up pregnant at 15. Right on cue, and just like the hillbillies popping out of the corn on Hee-Haw, his buddy (whom I didn't even know was in there) popped up, stuck his head out of the window, did a quick examination of the frame and said "Yup, we can put some bars on here, no problem":rotfl2::rotfl2:

Greetings fellas! I'm a newbie to the boards, but have definitely found them useful! My family (myself, my wife, and our 23 month old son) are headed to WDW for our 1st family vacation, on September 30 through October 4. It's a short trip, but we'll be celebrating my son's 2nd birthday. I think that I'm the most excited out of the three of us. We plan on hitting Mickey's Not So Scary party on our last night, so this will be a trip of many firsts for us.

I have most of our days planned:

Thursday (arrival around noon):
Swimming at All Star Sports, and dinner at T-Rex (our little guy loves dinosaurs)

Friday (son's birthday):
Magic Kingdom, dinner at 50's Prime Time.

Saturday:
Animal Kingdom

Sunday:
Hollywood Studios, dinner at The Plaza & MNSSHP

This is my second trip, but the wife and son's 1st. I hope that everything goes well. I'm just hoping that the weather cooperates for us. All this hurricane talk is making me nervous!
No better place that Disney World to celebrate a birthday. Make sure you get the little guy a birthday button.
Welcome to the club!

Way to go Ethan! Where are they registered? I'd like to pick them up a plastic toaster. Does Power Wheels make a minivan?
"Okay, well, uh... candlesticks always make a nice gift, and uh, maybe you could find out where she's registered and maybe a place-setting or maybe a silverware pattern. "

If it happens again, we'll send Tim down there to "persuade" the bus driver to keep a little tighter schedule.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

We just need Tim to stand there, grunt, and crack his knuckles...

For those of you in law enforcment and those of us who don't want to see this in our rearview mirror, the new Ford Police Interceptor

Oh Good Lord....

Ok, guys, off on my last "pucker factor" operation of the deployment....I'll probably have some video of it up later on Facebook unless things go horribly wrong...

Turns out they posted 8:00 as the time for all 3 of the pickup points for his route. They said to be there at 8:30-8:40 from now on. Any frustrations for the day were erased when I picked him up and he was grinning ear to ear telling me what a great day he had and how much he loves kindergarten:cool1:. He told me he made a new friend, when I asked what his name was he informed me it was a girl:lovestruc. When I asked what they did he informed me "Not much, we just laid beside each other at nap time":scared1:.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Did he have the munchies when he got home?

Well, the Draft is over and I think it went great. :thumbsup2

Lots of fun and joking around. Maybe a rivalry or two was created... :jumping1:

I will post updates throughout the year. Let the smack talk begin! :woohoo:

Just so everyone knows, AJRitz and ClearScreen are now mortal enemies. Also, I have crappy receivers.

And she's HERE! :thumbsup2

We've got our 3 boys, and now the girl. And, only 117 days until her first trip to Walt Disney World.... and people think i'm obsessed .:confused3

Glad to see you back! Have never tried a home business, but I would think it would definitely be a bit intimidating to start one. Good luck!

Congratulations!! If your daughter has the same superpowers that I’ve witnessed among my nieces and all my friend’s little girls, it’s you who are going to be the most changed by this miracle. Prepare to be wrapped around that little finger in ways you never imagined. princess:

I wish you luck and success on the new venture. :goodvibes You’re a braver man then I (although, I’m starting to seriously consider similar actions myself).

My boy met his best friend in kindergarten as well (and yup… she’s a she). They were inseparable from day one (within a week or two the girl even asked her folks which last name they’d be keeping after they got married :lovestruc). To add to it, we moved into a slightly larger house a couple of years latter and it ended up being right next door to he’s best bud! Weird… To this day the two of them are still best friends, but now it’s really more like a brother-sister kind of thing  (of course that’s just as of now ).

OK guys… Kids on the way… Newborns… Kindergarten… Missing a week or two of first grade… Lord you’re making me feel OLD! But then again, in a few years when y’all start posting about how your teens are morphing into aliens and driving you completely nuts, I’ll be able to sit back and just smile. :rolleyes1

Congrats on the new miracle in your life!!!!

Starting a home business.. good luck with it!!!

Hang on everyone.. the weekend's comin'!

What does everyone have planned for the holiday weekend?

Seriously, he took Hardesty, Berrian, McCluster and Prater right before I was about to take each of them. That happens during drafts, but not in a row like it did during the snake-rounds when he picked before me.

And we play each other first game.

And we are both attorneys.

Unfortunately for him, The Mouse of Pain is coming and the Passamaquoddy Dragons are going to disappear just like Elliott. :cool1:

I enjoyed the draft. I think the teams look pretty competitive, but I'm thoroughly disappointed that nobody drafted Leinart.

Y'all got me laughing as well.

Your adventures are just beginning (or just around the corner). When I was growing up (Yah… Way back in the Stone Age… I know…), my mom used to say of raising my brother and I, that the most fun part of raising kids was: “Watching us become.” I now know exactly what she meant, and she was spot on. The process really takes off about the time their age’s acquire that second digit. Of course, a big part of “becoming” involves a great deal of letting go and trying to get off your parents nice well manicured path through life. It’s messy and necessary, but it’s also the biggest source of contention. The father/son battles can be trying to be sure, but my observations have shown me that it’s the mother/daughter battles that become almost epic. Be there for your wives, cause there’s a bigger storm then Hurricane Earl a headdin’ your way. ;)

SO does this mean that there are going to be objections and sidebars durring your matchup?

Great... :rolleyes1 I've got 3 girls and the 6 yo is already moving into battle mode. I can't wait until the teen age years. :scared1:

The Draft! Wow what a pain that was. Not because of the yahoo draft but my computer. I had all kinds of issues with my computer monitor and could not see most of the screen during the draft, including any of the smack talk that may have been going on. I was spending so much time trying to fix the monitor that I lost track of who I had previously picked and ended up with both the RB's from the Panthers. Even worse I drafted a Cowboy:scared1: Mark, I hope I don't have to turn in my Eagles fan card. Looking forward to the season!

All these teen stories are starting to scare me. Where's a good flux capacitor when you need one?

SO does this mean that there are going to be objections and sidebars durring your matchup?

The game will most likely end up in a settlement, with the ultimate outcome dragging on for the next 3 years or so.

Even worse I drafted a Cowboy:scared1: Mark, I hope I don't have to turn in my Eagles fan card. Looking forward to the season!

:scared1: You WHAT?? Go say 20 hail marys and sit in the corner.

Surely you can't be serious!

Ok, FINE! If nobody else is going to do it, I will.
<Ahem> I am serious and don't call me Shirley.

C'mon guys. That post has been out there long enough that someone should have caught it.
