I could change the draft date, but I already have changed it to Sept 1 from Sept 2 because of a conflict.

I could change it to the 8th if there are no conflicts.

Please let me know,

That's always the hardest part about running a fantasy league--trying to get 10 - 14 guys in one place at the same time. I don't think I've ever been able to round everyone up at the same time.

First of all CRUD

Second, looks like some dads are going through some difficult times. Thoughts and prayers to Christopher and Dave and their families.

It has been a busy weekend/week of cleaning up and repairing some things. A tree next to our house was hit by lightning Friday night and then it went through our satellite and followed the coax cable into the attic where it jumped to an electric wire and proceded to melt the coax, weld some electric wires together, and cause some insulation to smolder. Thankfully we were home when it happened, the upstairs circuit went out and we smelled something hot. I started pulling receptacles and light switches out of walls looking for the problem. It wasn't until I popped the attic open and saw the haze that I realized it was time to call 911. Fortunately there was no structural damage and we've just had to replace some wiring and coax cables. We've been airing out the house and with some luck we'll be able to get the smoky smell out of the little man's room and we can move back upstairs. Just wanted to share with you all, not as bad news, but from the mindset that I'm thankful as I could be. I see other people struggling with some things and it puts this in perspective... everyone is fine and we still have a roof over our heads.

My thought on fantasy drafts.... sometimes it is best to just let the computer draft the team. Takes emotion and the human element out. I've had good teams in the past both from drafting my own and from letting the pre-rankings dictate it. The worst team I've ever had was drafted by me. I had the perfect plan in place and got all the players I wanted after making 1 trade.... then the injuries hit.:rotfl2:

dont worry about me.I know how hard it is to set up drafts( as I run my own league). I will get my draft covered.

Ok guys, you've done it now. I mentioned the idea of geocaching to my family after reading about it here, and now they're all excited to try it. We don't own a GPS (either handheld or for the car). So...what models/makes do you recommend we try?

I have the garmin etrex legend. I is an inexpensive model, but has a lot of features.
The is a newer model:

We have had fun geocacheing several times.

Hey Barry did you ever see a over 40 yr old synchronized swimming team? would not be a pretty site to see. I think I would do more "sinking to the bottom" then I would do swimming.
OK, how about synchronized beer drinking? Just check out these guy's style ===>:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

:surfweb: day. normal a like feels it Now it. like more that's Aaahhh,
You've been hanging around by the asphalt machine without a respirator again, haven't you?

Yikes! Glad everyone is OK!

First off let me just add my prayers and good thoughts for both Dave and Chris and their families. Hang in there fellas and feel free to talk it out here if you need to. We are all family men and know how hard it can be to balance all of our emotions at times.

Insanity. Daddy'o needs to post the picture of us with Bob at POR last January. One of us is wearing a jacket. The other is wearing shorts. Do we need to identify who is whom?:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ask and ye shall receive.
I only wear shorts in Florida, that is my rule!!

Don't ask what I needed to do to get those beads.;)

Our first movie night was a huge success! I have a 6'X8' screen (front & rear projection) that I set up with a powered speaker in the back yard. We ended up with 14 kids and 8 parents.

The movie that we decided on was UP! (which I never seen) It was a hit and a funny movie too! We made popcorn for all the kids and of course the parents had a few adult drinks. Everyone brought blankets and chairs and go settled in for the movie.

Passing out some popcorn with UP! about to start.

Everyone had a great time and we might try to do it again next week!!!!

I love this idea, we may just have to try this.

Or, just get a Brazilian flag on a long pole and have everyone follow you that way. :rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl: Laughed out loud on this!!

Commitments &
Responsibilities are

OK. I am going to leave the draft for 9/1 at 8:00pm EDT. It is an on-line draft. If you can't make it, you can have someone else draft for you or you can let me know and I will put you on auto-pick.

The rules are on the web-site. The draft order is set 30 minutes before the draft.

Good luck to all...unless you are facing the Mouse of Pain. In that case, luck won't help you much. :darth:

Post something on the League site. I know I'm open to rescheduling the draft if we need to.

Pool Team? You mean like synchronized swimming? :rotfl2:

By that logic, flights out of Denver should be 1/2 of what they are anywhere else. Think of all that fuel they can save by just cutting the engines and gliding down...
Barry, you had a good day today. I though about multi-quoting about 4 of your posts.

:surfweb: day. normal a like feels it Now it. like more that's Aaahhh,
This took me 5 seconds to figure out, and once I did, I felt like even more of an idiot that it took that long to figure out.

OK, how about synchronized beer drinking? Just check out these guy's style ===>:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

synchronized drinking? THAT'S an olympic sport i'd watch.

Sure....

I just saved a ton of money by switching to Geico!!!

Tim, you owe me a screen cleaner... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Okay, i'm declaring today a "WIN" for the DIS dad's club thread.:thumbsup2
