I am back from the House of Mouse and had a great time. We had a truely magical moment with a character meet and greet.

First let me give you some background, our son does not walk without a walker yet. He can take about 5 independant steps and then he crawls and he does not talk yet. We still believe both are coming just slower then "normal".

Now back to the original program
In Toontown at the Judges Tent, we saw Mickey and Minnie. Well I ask Enzo who Mickey was and he did the sign for Mickey (which is making C's with both hands and placing them on your head to look like Mickey's ears with your finger and thumb tips touching your head.) Mickey saw him doing that while he was with the other kid and started signing with my son. Well after the other kid left Minnie also started signing Friend, I love you and play with our son. My wife did not want the walker in the picture, so when we got through with all of our photos Minnie walks over to the walker and lets us know she wants a picture with just the three of them and Enzo on his walker. My wife could not stop crying for joy for about 15 minutes after this. It even brought some tears to my eyes.

We are working on a trip report and when it is done I will put up the link.

:thumbsup2 glad you had a good time.

No bill. All paid for before the trip began!!!

Hmm, Trip report. Not sure that anyone would care. I just don't have the right material compared to the awesome trip reports that I read here.
  • Stayed off site, so no cool Disney room theme...
  • Only ate one TS restaurant and was too hungry to get food porn...
  • No cheese balls were hurled during the making of the trip...
  • Can't think of enough movie quotes...
  • Our shirts weren't hideous enough...
  • Not sure that I could stretch out a Trip Report for a year until my next trip...

I'm sure that I can think up a few more excuses, but there is that Man Law thing. Hmmm.
im with ya, our trips our usually uneventfull also. its basicly the same every trip.:lmao: dw hangs out in the stores. i tell her its "salt". ok, salt stands for "same sh^% as last trip.:lmao:but we have to look and touch everything again anyway. we eat like were going to the chair and we ride some rides and just enjoy the place were in. but i love reading the trip reports. even dons. :lmao: glad you had a good time.:thumbsup2

Truly inspiring sir truly inspiring. I wonder why they call it the Happiest Place on earth, nothing neat ever happens there. :confused3

Holy cow. This sounds like the plot of a National Lampoon movie. "Worse! How could it get any worse?! We're at the threshold of hell!"
As I was changing the tire, DW said something - I forget exactly what - but it was sort of, shall we say, negative. I looked at her and yelled "Optimism, dear, optimism! Because at this point, it's all we have left!" :rotfl2:

Also just finished up a long weekend in Pinehurst, NC playing golf with some buddies. Weather= beautiful,
:thumbsup2
beer = cold
:thumbsup2
scores = horrible
ah, who cares. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Awesome story! Can't wait to read the rest!

Any material is good TR material. We're all sitting at home waiting to get back to Disney World. You just got back. Trust me, we'll all hang on every word you have to say.

Got flu shot yesterday and wouldnt you know that I would be feeling a little bit draggy today. It seems that a lot of people at work have been like that the day after they take it. I came home and went to bed for a few hours and feel much better now. Guys...get your flu shots befor flu season gets started real good!

Ethan came home from school today and said.."you know the army?" I said yeah I know about the army..he says.."Well, they need stuff". I said yes they do...then he says "We need to go buy them stuff" I told him we would do that this weekend...I guess they are having a drive at school for items to send to the military. The kid is so patriotic...If youi recall me telling you about him saying the pledge of allegiane and singing God Bless America at the top of his longs recently when the neighbor put up a flag pole. He makes me so proud...

Hello all! I see you've been nice and busy racking up more pages... :thumbsup2 I love it, even when I'm away and not participating myself.

It's been a while. I've gotten very, very, VERY busy at work, so I have not really had the time during the days to post... let alone keep up with what's going on in here. And my evenings have been very full too with lots of Scouting stuff and other projects... so

CRUD... but I just thought I'd stop by and say hello.

Tonight as we were about to sit down for dinner, my cell phone rang. I went over to see who it was (just in case it was someone/thing regarding work and I needed to deal with it asap) - but it was chillcoupons - calling me from the Magic Kingdom. Just to tell me that they had once again been successful at a walk-up at the Crystal Palace tonight for dinner. Dork. He and I, and his lovely wife and daughter ate there together (on a walk-up) in June... so he just HAD to share with me!!! Wish I were there... oh well. DL in November, and WDW in Dec, followed by DL in Dec... I can't complain.

Also just finished up a long weekend in Pinehurst, NC playing golf with some buddies. Weather= beautiful, beer = cold, scores = horrible, but it was fun.

Golf in Pinehurst? That sounds awesome, regardless of the scores. This may call for a special TR.

While the Fillet was excellent at Le Cellier on Thursday, I think the Prime Rib at Turf Club is better. Now, the pretzel bread has no match. The chocolate mousse was better than any desert I had on the menu at Turf Club, but if you count a boat ride to DTD and ice cream at Ghiradelli's, then I give that a draw.

My parents did the Turf Club while we were there and raved about it. I might have to add that one to the list.

I'm with Barry. We'll take any excuse to re-live Disney vacations along with you.

Sorry I've been so busy lately I haven't really had time to enjoy your TR. I got through 5 pages one night and had to stop...but you were already up to like page 10 or 11 at that time, and commenting would have been futile. BUT.. let me just say... I loved what I read. The constant movie references and the like... wow. :worship: and more wow. :thumbsup2 Impressive. :)

Going to try something totally different this trip. My DS likes to collect the press pennies, so I'm going to make a book that will always get a 2nd look. I'm going to use 1943 steel pennies, now if I can figure out how to bring them to new looking condition again:confused3, I shoud have a DeLorian edition of pressed pennies:goodvibes:cool1:

Anyone one have any idea's on cleaning them, want to use a liquid since they are small and detailed. Thinking vineger might work:confused3

Hello DDC!
I guess that I recently just became a qualifying member of the DDC. My DD was born into this world on October 5th. (I was awoken at 2am with the phrase "Honey...I think my water broke." at which point I realized I was either gonna be really tired at work the next day...or I'm going to be really tired at work the next 18 years!) I've been a disney addict ever since our first trip which was back during the Bicentennial celebrations in '76 (my mom thinks we went in '74, not sure).
Anyways, I read thru the requirements in the first few posts and realized I qualified when I lost count of how many applied...and I was only halfway thru the list. :confused3

Btw, we named our daughter Lorelai Isabella....or "Lilly Belle" for short. :goodvibes

Welcome! The sleep thing is way overrated, basically it trains you for "rope drop to close" days at the parks.

Thanks for sharing that. It's stories like that one that make me never regret one cent I have spent at WDW. Whether it's my family or someone else s, you witness these things happen and you realize it is more than just a fun place to go with rides, it IS magical.

Not sure if it will work or not but there was that trick of leaving a penny in a glass of coke over night and it would take of the finish, might work to clean the crud off it.

You can try putting them on rail road tracks. That should get the dirt off.

Thanks.

And yes, some people use their brain cells to seek a cure for deadly diseases, or help the less fortunate among us. I memorize movie lines. :thumbsup2

Truth is he's been busy destroying all my "Inators" and placing wooly worms in my path to distract me. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Try Silvermate. It might work.

I have read somewhere something about baking soda and Aluminum but I think this is for Silver only.
