On CBS Morning Show, they showed the Improv Group in NY re-enacting the Star Wars capture scene with Princess Lea, Darth Vader, and Storm Troopers on the subway. That would be a really cool show on the way to work.

As for fireworks, I like sitting on the bench at bridge from Tomorrowland. I read on another thread about people watching from behind the castle. Anybody done this?

Sounds like another installation of Improv Everywhere... yup here is the link to the Star Wars re-enactment.

Improv Everywhere - Star Wars Subway Car

As for the fireworks at MK we've watched them in a few different spots over the years.

- Fantasyland (behind the castle): This was cool but as mentioned very loud.

- Tomorrowland (Noodle Station Bridge): Not bad, but this spot can get crowded.

- Main Street (by the flag pole): This was a great spot, but I'll admit the day we watched from here was not too busy. I would expect that on a busier day this spot would be jammed.

Thanks, Nate! Yep we were and YES it's very cool! :cool1:

My DW showed me that on YouTube thanks to a link her bro sent her on FB a couple of days ago. It was/is very funny - especially watching the people's faces around them. They have quite an impressive list of other stuff too, including Ghostbusters and others on their website.

Just booked our flight to Orlando in October!:cool1: $138.00 per person round trip on Delta.

Man, how'd you do that?! I check travelocity every day and can't seem to get a fare under $189. I need it to get below $150 for my credit card rewards to pay for it. So far- no luck.:guilty:

Not sure I could sit there on the subway with that going on and not yell "He's your Daddy!":rotfl2:

We were actually riding Dumbo one year when they started going off. Really cool experience. The ride ended, and we just watched from between Dumbo and the carousel. You just kept turning in a circle, because they were going off all around you.

Sorry to have kept you in suspense! DS knew on July 1st but didn't want anything posted publicly until the official orders came through. It was killing me to wait! :lmao:

That is great news, Pass on my congratulations to your Son!

Fed, looks like niether one of us won the pair of Mustangs, it went off on the 4th, I got a mailer for the next drawing a pair of Vette's. I'm going to get some chances, but if I won these off to the auction they go:lmao: Then pick up a Cuda or Shelby:confused3

If any Dad's out there love classic cars, this weekend in Syracuse, New York they are doing the Syracuse Nationals. Tons of classic cars to hot rods and more. I walked the hotels tonight with the family and was checking out some sweet rides. Amazing cars parked all over. There were a few early mustangs, Shelby, woody, Vettes, old pick up trucks. Something there for everyone. A fellow worker has his 1966 mustang on display. HHhhhhhmmmmm one can dream....Excellent. :cool1:

Oh, and I OWN this page for now:rotfl2:

Oh man...we had one of those "I want to be at Disney and Not Here" moments last night. HAd a tornado pass about a mile from our house, we were on the road as it was coming at us. Ended up taking shelter at the Firehouse about 6 blocks from our house.

Brutaly scary experience, you see, in 2006 we had a tornado take our house with us in the basement. This was almost an exact replay of the previous encounter...except we weren't sitting at home. DD remembers the experience photographicly.

Boys, we (Me, DW, DD(6) and DS(3) rushed into the firehouse in front of a whole wad of firemen watching the storm and went and hid in a bathroom hallway. They looked at us like we were insane...About 60 seconds later, we were surrounded by 10 firemen who were saying "Ok...there is a monster out there. Then the lights went out...My wife and daughter started crying...me and the boy just held onto each other. The firemen were trying to figure out how to get to their clothes so they could start a rescue mission...(This was even more mentaly jarring than the storm at this point) The storm rages outside for about 20 minutes and then the firedudes head off and suit up. We just sit there in the emergency lights.

It missed us by a mile...tore the heck out of some corn fields.

Don't know if my poor old heart can take much more of that. I do know that making my daughter talk about her favorite place in disneyworld calmed her (and us) down tremendously.

Thank ya Mr. Mouse.

Yes but not intentionally, we sat on the benches east of Dumbo, and it was cool but very very loud.

Fantasyland (behind the castle): This was cool but as mentioned very loud.

Thanks for info. Youngest dd (6) still puts her fingers in her ears when we are around fireworks. She almost made it through July 4th fireworks without doing so this year, so maybe one more year.

Glad to hear you and your family are safe.

Sometimes it's fun to be caught in a storm and just stare at it.. This is obviously not one of those times. Whether they admit it or not, I'm sure the firedudes were calmed down by the disneyworld discussion as well. Glad to hear all of the Explodos are ok.:thumbsup2
