Only 7 days until our next disney trip can't wait. Got to go see Captain Hook on a fireworks cruise, should be pretty cool.(Captain hooks my hero)Also this is the first time I've done any of these forums, I'm new to your little community.
THANK YOU DvczerfsMuch appreciated. I was amazed at your totals 48 trips to WDW and three more planned. I like that. DW has been talking to me about DVC for sometime. I think we need to make that move as well.
There's a small chance that we'll shift our plans and to the MNSSHP on the 3rd instead. We're really struggling with how to handle Squeaker at WDW, given that it's now pretty clear that he hates just about all rides and won't go near characters. I'm leaning toward not taking him to MNSSHP, so either DW or I would stay with him and find something special to do with him while the other takes The Bug to the party. The downside of doing the party on the 3rd is that it is currently scheduled to be our first day at the Magic Kingdom. I'm not sure that nighttime during the party is the best first exposure to the MK for the kids.

its 98 degrees here in pa fed!! what do you got????
That's funny and right on the mark. After we explained it to her and told her she had to do her best and show everyone what a good swimmer she is so that the coach will be forced to put her on the A team, she just shrugged and said "I'm going to tell (the other girl) tomorrow that it's OK she's on the A Team even though I beat her." Then she got upset and threw a tantrum because her cousin and brother got an extra turn on a slip 'n slide.

Oh it was only 52 today.....52 C....so, about 125 for a high...didn't stay there long, it was 46, or 114 when I went jogging![]()
I went ahead and added our new members to the "Where we are all from" list and Emma's Dad will issue official numbers soon.
I am on call today and when I got home from one of my call outs this afternoon the pipes under the kitchen sink were leaking and flooding the kitchen...thank goodness I was there to find it before it ruined everything. Anyone want to come and fix it? LOL
I am trying to get DW to plan more trips in advance. Tell your DD that the Disney College Program is amazing. We have known a few friends that have gone through the program. It's a once in a lifetime event. Something they will always look back on. I wish I had done the program back in the mid 1980s. My kids are already talking about doing it when they get older.
Welcome to the Asylum, um... I mean the Club!Hello All... I am brand spanking new to DISboards. Just joined a few moments ago. Wanted to start things off right by joining the Dad's Club.
Don (Emma's Dad) is on vacation - but not a Disney World. We're considering bringing him up on charges, stripping him of his title, and evicting him from the club. Unless he has a valid excuse such as "my wife made me."Is Emma Dad Around... I want to get my members number![]()
Best investment I've made. I assume you're talking about the kind with the filter and inflatable ring on the top. Once you figure out the right chemicals and how to take care of it, filling it once will last you all summer. We started with the 10' model and this is now our second year with a 12'. I'm smelling at 15 footer for next year.I found a 1000 gallon pool (10' by 2.5') for $40.00 at Toys R Us and bought that. It was an upgrade over the kiddie pool we had in the back yard.
My son was never terrified of the characters, but he certainly didn't want anything to do with them. He eventually warmed up to the "face" characters (especially Jasmine and Ariel). Soon enough he was following his sister and running up to characters. Unfortunately, it wasn't an overnight change. I'm not sure there is any advice in there, but if you found some, go ahead and use it.There's a small chance that we'll shift our plans and to the MNSSHP on the 3rd instead. My brother-in-law did the college program a few years back. He was originally put on Star Tours loading people. He never like Star Wars to begin with, and he hated it - ready to quit after one day. That evening at the gym, he struck up a conversation with the guy on the treadmill next to him. Turns out that guy was the head of life guarding. The next day, the BIL was transferred to the lifeguard training school, and eventually to Typhoon Lagoon.I am trying to get DW to plan more trips in advance. FreezinRafiki thank you for the welcome is appreciated. Also for the update on Emma's Dad. Don't be too hard on him. I bet his DW made him go where she wanted to go.
