DW was nervous about the "190 ADRs" that I made last month. So on the 180 day mark, I canceled them and made new ones, just to be on the safe side. None moved more than 10 minutes.

Mine are 3 and 5 also. We do some TS places, and it works out OK. Clearly we're not going to someplace like Jiko or Victoria & Alberts, but they did good a places like Le Cellier and 50's Prime Time. Characters are a plus to keep them engaged, and buffets are your friend. The quicker you get food into the kids, the better.:thumbsup2

Maybe next time we'll try TS...maybe. But we had no problems and no complaints with QS. It was convenient, plenty of food. Maybe a little sparse on the lunch selections (pizza, pizza, pizza).

Make sure you tell the Dentist that he's not a real doctor. They love that. :rotfl2:

Sure, tick off the guy holding a drill to your mouth:lmao::lmao::eek::eek::eek:

:eek: Keep me in mind, I'm goin for a root canal this afternoon.
Hope at least the pain improves.
:lmao:

Ugh. We hope it goes as quickly as possible!

My buddy once got into a political argument with the hygenist while he was in the chair. It's safe to say he learned not to bring up those subjects again. :scared1::lmao:

Mine are 3 and 7, but we're rolling the dice on one table service/day for our October trip. I think the forced break in the AC will be good for us. We stuck to kid-friendly choices like dinners at Ohana and Akershaus - places where there's something to grab the kids' attention. But we did make one exception. After deciding that we didn't want to mess with the CRT breakfast after all (pretty much the same characters as Akershaus - which was scheduled for The Bug's birthday dinner, having to get up extra early and still probably missing rope drop, and putting a new toy sword in the hands of Squeaker at the start of the day), we swapped that for a dinner ADR at California Grill (and the observation deck view of the fireworks).

Thanks for the support in the grumpy 17-year-old thread Fed. I think sometimes you just have to stop and remember what you spent your time thinking about when you were 17 years old.
(Somehow, that "smiley" takes on a whole 'nother meaning in this context :rolleyes1 )

So, aren't you guys glad you're not a Dad of a "bikini-clad 17-year-old girl?" :rotfl2:

No problem:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

There really is no other answer....:confused3;):lmao:

Oooo, ahhhh, uhhhh...ya know, I, uh...guess I never thought about that...

Sorry:guilty:

Don't feel bad, when my DD were 17, I just told them feel free to bring your boyfriend home, just give me enough warning so I can set up my guns for cleaning when they came over. Never had any problem after that. :cool2:

If I had a daughter, the poor boy would probably faint just coming through the door as soon as he saw my arsenal...:lmao::lmao:

I bet you didn't have any issues.....my Father in Law's trick was to put a .45 round on the table and tell DW's boyfriends that it had "their name on it"...he didn't do that with me, told my DW--he can probably shoot better than I can:lmao::lmao:

I will be in about 10 more years (though The Bug seems to think it'll be more like next week) :scared:

Given The Bug's personality, I'm confident in her ability and willingness to take are of herself. When there was a bully giving her trouble at school earlier this year, and the school didn't seem to be making any headway dealing with it, she just walked up to the bully's mother in the carpool line and said (matter of factly), "Your daughter is a bully. You really should do something about that," and walked away.

She didn't have any trouble with that girl for the rest of the year. :rotfl:

Hey, I've gotten it taken care of! I just got an email from a guy somewhere in Africa who has inherited a family fortune and needs help getting the money out of the country and into the U.S.

Sounds good to me. I just sent my SSN, DOB, bank account numbers, credit card number, and shoe size. Hopefully, I'll see some money soon.

DW is a juvenile social worker, working with families that have had their children removed and are at risk of having their parental rights terminated . . .accusing her of having an agenda, and running an adoption ring with the children that she removes from homes.

Sounds better than the African lottery. Where do I send my SSN, DOB, and other account numbers to get in on this action.

So, aren't you guys glad you're not a Dad of a "bikini-clad 17-year-old girl?" :rotfl2:

8 1/2 more years. Yet, I fear I'll need to worry a lot sooner than that. I've got the shotgun ready. Do they still sell chastity belts?

Got around to seeing Toy Story 3 on Monday with my wife and oldest (six-year old son). It was a fantastic movie, but not as good as the first two, IMHO.

I was waiting for the waterworks, but they never came. My eyes did well up, but I never got to full-blown tears. I think it's because I heard so many of my friends saying they cried at the end that I was emotionally prepared for it.

Anybody see the Sorcerer's Apprentice preview? And what did you think? Honestly, not real keen about the movie. I don't like "remaking" cartoon classics, especially something as treasured as Mickey Mouse.

I just got an email from a guy somewhere in Africa who has inherited a family fortune and needs help getting the money out of the country and into the U.S. Untold riches could be ours if I just give him a bank account number to wire the money into. What do you think? I can't pass this up, right?? :sad2::rotfl2:

Don't bother. I've been helping him for over a year now. I've sent him over $23,000 to help with incidental legal fees, filing fees, and bank fees, but he assures me that everything is almost in place to get the "millions and millions of US dollars" wired into my account. :woohoo::woohoo:

and I thought this was just a scam....what a fool I've been. :confused3

all I can say is.. That is why I made just boys.:goodvibes

Arsenal, in Canada I would have the SWAT team around my house if I had an arsenal. We need to get a little more creative and use good old physical intimdation. :lmao:

Hi Dad's hope you are all doing well. Almost went on a last minute trip to WDW over the forth, but thought it was a little pricey and way to hot in July. So We are heading to Chicago for 3 days. Thanks Priceline. Staying at the Wit for $79.00 per night. :thumbsup2

It looks Ok to me. I don't think they're "remaking" anything. From what I've seen, all they did was use the name.

No, they just have no use for those Canadian loonies. :rotfl2::rotfl:

Yeah, that's why I put remake in quotations. The only link I've seen is that they're recreating the broomsticks scene.

It's from the same team that did National Treasure, and I loved those movies, so maybe I'll like this too.

My initial reaction was iffy, just because the preview I saw focused on them recreating the broomsticks scene.

That's why I had boys too! So I only have to worry about 2 boys, instead of having to worry about ALL the boys!

Had my root canal today. Still hurting, but I think its getting better.

Good news about potential trip to WDW around the first of Dec! Maybe can hookup with some of y'all there.:grouphug::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My wife wants to go see it she loves Nicholas Cage movies, I thought it looked pretty good.

The preview that I liked and want to go see is Despicable Me:lmao:

I owuld like to go see Scorcer's Apprentice also...I figured since the same people who did the National Treasure movies did this it would be pretty decent. I just wish that they would do a new NT movie...I want to know what was written in that book they found!!!:confused3

As far as "Despicable Me" .... I am not so sure about that one.

The only plus side to having a 17yo bikini clad daughter in Canada would be the fact she would only be bikini clad for 2 months of the year, the rest of the time it would be hidden under 2 sweaters and a parka!
