My Fathers Day will be loading up the car and heading to WDW for a week long trip at AKV. This is my first solo trip. DD is starting the second week of soccer camp (they had a 2 week for 1 special). Looking forward to getting away. Things have been crazy here.

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

I told you - you should be there at the same time as my trip. Small World will be down the whole time!

I survived the midnight run to Minneapolis. I'm now REALLY glad we didn't decide to try and drive to the World in October. The kids slept until shortly after 2 am, and then decided they wanted to watch movies. We had the first two seasons of The Muppet Show with us, so at least it was good entertainment through the middle of the night.

We had a blast yesterday at Nick Universe. I'll post a more complete mini-TR over at DisDads.com later. Suffice to say for now that The Bug is the thrill-ride Queen, and Squeaker hates pretty much all rides and costumed characters, but has a non-stop motor.

We got into Rochester for the family-visit potion of the trip a couple of hours ago. Kids are both crashed out napping, I'm playing with my iPad here in the room, and DW is hanging in the lobby with her parents, while they wait for their room to finally become available.

Were you at the DVC resort at HHI? We have been there three years running and will be back for year 4 in August - it is just fantastic.

Did you stay at the disney resort in Palmetto Dunes or Shelter Cove? I had no idea there were two different ones. We actualy stayed in a condo in Palmetto Dunes just down from the Disney Property there.

I went and saw Toy Story 3 today with my wife, father-in-law, step-mother-in-law, and brother-in-law. We all loved it and I do have to saw that it was very sad during the movie.

Home from Hilton Head...the trip that took 9 hours to get things started took 12 and half today...man traffic on 95 and 77 was horrible and tons of accidents!

Hi All,

New to the thread. Just finding this thread after about 6 mos of looking around Disboards. Looking forward to participating.

Went to WDW as a kid once about 20 yrs ago. Just went back in March with DW, DS(5), and DS(3). We had a BLAST! Already planning next trip (poss early Dec or Feb/Mar).

We stayed at POR. We loved pin trading.

Happy father's day to all. I just got a Cuisinart ice cream maker from my crew for father's day, and can't wait to try out the dole whip recipe!


PS, we saw ToyStory3 yesterday... it was great!

December is a great time to go. The Christmas decorations are outstanding.

Let's just say it's a good thing the 3D glasses can hide tears. Not quite Old Yeller-esqe waterworks, but certainly some emotional moments.


Well, my Father's Day started out nice. Got a really cool personalized baseball and tickets to see the Cubs at Wrigley in July. Then it got very, very bad. Went up to the bathroom to take a shower and noticed that, again, one of the kids didn't flush. I flushed and it didn't go down. Long (and disgusting) story short, the plunger didn't work, so I actually had to remove the toilet and clean it all out manually.
It got better though. Mini golf, Toy Story 3, and dinner at a nice local Italian restaurant.

I know there's not much of it left, but Happy Father's Day to all of you!
