Man I sooo want to book one of those Free Dining Vacations...but that's smack in the beginning of the Kid's school year...not to mention...I don't have the cash for it now...but I could have it paid off in time...must work on the Wife. :scratchin

Would love to take my folks too...September 4 is special...
1] My B-day. :wizard:
2] Parents Anniversary...50 years this year. :thumbsup2

have the teachers give the kids there homework before you go. 50 years is a long time. go for it!!!!:thumbsup2

Peer pressure only gets you so far. I say if Nate doesn't pull his kids out of school to go to Disney World, we give him a wedgie and shove him in a locker!

if you book nate, barry will post this statement on one of the women threads and reply to all comments!!!!!:woohoo: do it , do it , do it!!!!!:cheer2:

Well, I'm at home (again) with the little guy.....

He spent all day yesterday lounging on the couch and snoozing... Today it looks like more of the same.

How do you know when your two year old doesn't feel good??

In my case, he won't eat the Chocolate Chip cookie I got him after the doctor visit--just held onto it and stared off into space....

And he spends the whole day on the couch and hardly moves...:scared:

Waaaaaay out of character for him...usually he's a little dynamo:lmao::lmao::lmao:

wow, i know id get up for a choc. chip cookie! fed, set it were the little guy can see it, maybe he will come around. hope he feels better.:thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao: that made my day barry!!!:lmao::lmao:

Let's give him a swirly before we put him in the locker. Do they make lockers to fit us anymore????

School, Shmool. I guess we can say that when they're still in elementary grades.

Still, we can try peer pressure: all the cool people are doing Free Dining...you wanna be cool, dontcha? :cool2:

Yeah...I don't worry too much about Chance in the 5th next year...but Jayce has all AP Classes and will be a Sophamore (10th)...

But the High School is switching to an new semister schedule...so he will only have 4 classes (pro)...but will miss twice as much per class.(con) But most of those first weeks is a refresher from last year (pro)...but what if he needs it (con)

Peer Pressure...nah...I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs...and never have. :thumbsup2

Thought of that...but when would they do it??? 12 hours down and back...hmmm :scratchin

Wanting to do something special for the folks...and having the ability to do it are 2 totally different things. Plus "Maw" is looking at a back surgery that may have her disabled for months to come?

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Trust me I need no prompting from anyone to make me do this...but getting the wife to sign-up is a different story....I give it a 60-40 chance that I can convince her we can do it...showing her the numbers will help...she love WDW as much as I do...but she has a little more tight reign on the funds than I do. Then there's the old showing her old photo's trick and showing how much the boy's have grown since 2003,05,06,07...not so much since 09...but a little/Time's not slowing down arguement.

How do you pass that up???:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

AirGoofy and Nate: either of you affected by the flooding in KY and TN?

Some without power, but nothing major here. We were supposed to have United Soccer tournament that weekend and the fields looked more like swimming pools. It is was a revenue loss for the youth soccer association, but no permanent damage and no deaths in our area. Nashville got hit really hard from the TV reports, which is 2 hours south from us.

hey nate, dd has had what our school calls "block scheduling". she only has 4 class's per day. she was affraid they would move twice as fast but the class's are twice as long. she loves it!!! our hs starts in 9th grade and ever since the block her grades have improved alot. (and factor in her age and realizing grades matter) she has been on the honnor roll and every so often hits high honor roll (aver. 95 or better) since 9th grade. i cant believe she is going to be a sr this september. poor kid still has no idea what she wants to do the rest of her life. i told her to find a doctor or a lawyer and save me alot of money!:lmao: im trying to talk her into the disney program but she wont go that far from home. so, this is my new ploy with dw to move south!!!

To Tattoo or not Tattoo...That is the question:confused3

Oooooh...tough one. My kids aren't old enough for this battle yet.

I'd find it preferable to body piercings, I can tell you that. I guess if my kid wanted one, I'd ask for a good, reasonable explanation why. Then go over pros and cons. Then google pictures of what tattoos end up looking like after 40 years.

Not sure there's an easy answer for this one.
