A great day for us. Oldest dd (8) received her 1st communion today. She was able to answer all the priest's questions during the homily, prompting him to look over at us. I just shrugged - I guess the Holy Spirit was working OT today. I very proud day for this Dad. :cool2:

That's great. You have every right to be proud :thumbsup2

well, the doctor called, we have to be at wills eye next wednesday at 8am. she is seeing a reconstruction, plastic surgen. shes a bit up set but she can except it. she sees nothing, no light no shadows nothing out of her left eye so at least if she loses her eye, she will lose no more vision. its just the shock and of course scared. when we go out to eat she sits so the waitress is on her right etc... i always walk on her left so if she walks into me its no big deal. its hard, some people look at her as being rude in some settings (like world of disney) may bump you or cut you off but its not being rude, she cant see you. she says im sorry, i didnt see you. more than once in a crowded area. ill keep you guys posted when we find more out.

She's in our prayers, Dave.

I've been home with a chest cold for the past 2 days, hacking myself into oblivion. Nothing compared to what your DW is going through, though. Take care!

Dave I have to apologize for my previous comment.I have not been on in a long time and just jumped in commenting without out going back and reading previous posts.I thought you were just coming into Philly for a regular doc visit.I did not realize how she was.I might have come across sounding rude by saying we could do breakfast or lunch and I do apologize for it .I should have read back before posting.

i didnt think nothing of it, we still eat!!:thumbsup2 its looking like this maybe a hard visit. her eye dr. isnt saying much but why would you see a plastic sergun if you werent going to need one. if it is the case, they can do the procedure while your awake if you want.(she wants to be out, cant blame her) and in two weeks your healed enough to get your new eye. its a total of 6 weeks from start to completely healed for most people. we are going to be making several trips to wills and if she has an over night stay, ill be staying at a hotel somewere close by to wills.

Let me know maybe we can meet up for breakfast,or lunch.Yea coming from where you are there is no easy way to come without hitting the traffic.Just make sure you have a big coffee and two jelly doughnuts for the ride:lmao::lmao:

big coffee sitting in traffic??????:lmao: if it goes in it has to come out!:lmao:

Well, I'm at home (again) with the little guy.....

He spent all day yesterday lounging on the couch and snoozing... Today it looks like more of the same.

How do you know when your two year old doesn't feel good??

In my case, he won't eat the Chocolate Chip cookie I got him after the doctor visit--just held onto it and stared off into space....

And he spends the whole day on the couch and hardly moves...:scared:

Waaaaaay out of character for him...usually he's a little dynamo:lmao::lmao::lmao:

EVERYONE...

May the 4th be with you.
:yoda:

Happy Star Wars Day!
If I refuse to say, "may the fourth be with you," does than make me a Fifth Lord?
:darth:

[rim shot] Thank you, I'll be here all week! Try the veal.

School, Shmool. I guess we can say that when they're still in elementary grades.

Still, we can try peer pressure: all the cool people are doing Free Dining...you wanna be cool, dontcha? :cool2:

Peer pressure only gets you so far. I say if Nate doesn't pull his kids out of school to go to Disney World, we give him a wedgie and shove him in a locker!

Hope he feels better soon. Sounds like your little guy is like mine, he just kind of sits there when he's sick, doesn't really complain or cry, just chills out. I should be happy about that but it's kind of creepy.:confused3

Although the last time he had an ear infection on about day five he announced "I just can't do this anymore!"; Good thing you can't get connected to Dr Kevorkian on a Playschool toy phone!
