When we go to BG we usally stay at the Quality Inn at Kingsmill, never had a issue there.

We did one of those timeshare presentations near WDW on our Honeymoon, it started at 9am, by the time we got out of there it was 1pm, they didn't want to take no for a answer, they kept sending other sales reps to us, finally I just started getting loud and nasty and just left. I'll never do another one again. These guys are way too high pressure, I can see how they get so many people to buy into it. They always try to make it seem you can't live without it:headache::scared1:

Our first trip to WDW was due to a timeshare presentation. Ended up with a sea/land package for 10 days and only paid about $1500 for everything. When it came time for the presentation, we took the tour and listened to the spiel... then they found out how much we made! :rotfl2: They didn't apply any further sales tactics... we wouldn't have been able to afford it!

That was a pretty good score, The one we went to we got breakfast and $50 cash, I would have much rather been in a Disney park (even if was raining)than at that presentation:lmao:

Our first timeshare presentation was about 14 yrs ago out west and was very much like Commando desribed. Very hard sell, very mean and nasty when we finally convinced them that we were serious in saying no. DW was ready to clobber me so hard, and basically said never again.

Finally after a lot of patience she relented and went to the DVC one while at WDW 4 or 5 years ago. The presentation itself was night and day. DW was so impressed with the extreme soft-sell that we received. No high pressure tactics, no demanding. Our guide was very much "behind the scenes" allowing us to walk the models and talk. In fact she said something to the effect of, you just look around and enjoy and I'll sit right here on the couch. If you have questions, just let me know. It was very much a "take your time, think about it and if you want to join great, if not, we understand and hope you enjoy the rest of your stay at WDW." We were given info to take back with us, and contact information for if and when we were ready to purchase.

It was about a year later when she finally said it was right for us, and we joined. But all that time in between, we only got one mailer from DVC announcing a price increase. Otherwise there were no follow-up phone calls or annoying mailers badgering us to buy. We did it all pretty much on our timetable and terms, and are very happy with the outcome.

So DW has had a bad few days (health wise). Then Yesterday this comes in the mail from one of our Dis friends on Canada.

So where were you 2 years ago today???
I think my brother in law was on that cruise. He said it was a neat experience and he will always be able to say that he went through the Panama Canal, but it isn't anything he would want to do again. He said one stop (Columbia, maybe?) Looked like it was right out of Sally Struther's adopt-a-kid-for-19-cents-a-day commercials.

Still, you beat me. I was probably at work, staring blankly at my computer screen and wondering if anyone would notice if I just crawled under my desk and napped.

Just wanted to pop in and tell Stopher that I'm cleaning from the lunch that I made for me and the kids. The mac & cheese was divine!:rotfl2:

We were on the westbound repo from Port Canaveral to LA so we didn't stop in Columbia or the Canal zone but one of the west coast stops was pretty bad. Aruba was no great shakes when you got away from the tourist area. but it was a great cruise all in all.

Ok..... now I'm on facebook checking everyones score. I don't think I am 'friends' with many of you though... so I guess I won't be able to check your scores. :confused3
my problem is we use our real names on facebook and i only know about 5-6 dads by there real names.:lmao:

OK, I feel like I have to come clean here... I am a cheeseball agnostic. Its not that I'm against the cheeseball, or that I don't ever partake in an occasional cheeseball, but I can't say I've ever desired a cheeseball.

Whew... I feel better now.
dw says about me, " just put cheese on it, he'll eat it":lmao:

You find most of the women like that up in North Jersey, past the Raritian Bridge, Most are implants from NY or Staten Island, where I am we get invaded by them in the summer when they come to what they refer to as The Shore (I can't wait for them to leave, you can spot them a mile away) We refer to them as Bennies, you will see locals with bumper stickers saying Bennies Go Home. Bennies stands for Bayonne, Elizabeth & NY.

That show on MTV Jersey Shore only had one person that was from NJ, All the rest were from NY & Staten Island:scared1:

I have a few more weeks to enjoy the Boardwalks before they invade.
I agree send them instead of Fed:thumbsup2
i feel your pain. :thumbsup2 living so close to nj and ny, you can tell were there from as soon as they say something!:lmao:

Alright I am back again. This has been a bad few weeks and now I think that things are going to get back to a little more normal. I am on Borough Council in my community. (Let the political jokes start flying) We have been having some "issues" over the past few months and everything finally came to a head last night. The Old Council President "stepped down" and I got voted in as the new President of Borough Council. Good times.

Fed...Stay safe brother, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ya that's me. It's funny that a lot of the people from that thread (and the Pic.) are still running a thread here on the boards. We are on part 17 of the post-cruise thread.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:It sounds like you have done this before. I have a hard time going anywhere with out getting it from someone. I was at my sons spring concert tonight and got yelled at by someone because they got a fine for not getting a building permit. I am not quite sure how that was my fault.:confused3 I wouldn't do it though if I did not like it. It is great when you can actually help someone.

Congrats! On your new position, I don't know how many people are in your neighborhood, but I'm sure there will be at least one that comes running to you about every little thing.

This guys dog barks all night and poops on my lawn.
This guys tree hangs over my yard.
This ones doing this etc.:scared1:

Best of luck!:woohoo:
