I don't guess with that picture we can ask "What's up Chuck?"

Figured out this morning how long it is until we take our post-Christmas/New Years trip to WDW.......296 DAYS!!!!:scared1: I was really bummed out until I noticed your counter at 1920 days. I guess mine isn't that far away after all.:yay::yay::yay: Let the :dance3: begin!!!!

Funny..."Chuck" used to belong to an Engineer that I worked with named Charles...I'd always ask him "What's up Chuck?"...I would also move "Chuck" (who was nameless at the time) around his cube in different places...or doing little stunts like I've been showing.

Sadly Charles passed away about 4 years ago (Pancreatic Cancer). :littleangel:

I adopted and named him "Chuck". Took off his "Microsoft" logo on his shirt and Sharpie'd on a Mickey.

Was just thinking :scratchin if they are still offering the Disney gift cards for Dec. I could just upgrade to maybe Port Orleans collect the bigger gift card and still make out. Any discount they offer I always like to put it back into the trip:cool2:

Sorry to hear about your Co-worker, I'm sure he is happy to see that his little friend lives on, giving others a smile during the day:thumbsup2

very up set.Got the news a couple days ago that my wife need to have an operation( nothing major just a hysterectomy). But the doc says she will be out of work 4 to 6 wks.She only has 3 days of vaca to use but we are not worried about the other days without pay.Where the problem comes in is she does not know now if she will be able to get the time off in Dec for our trip.:scared1::scared1::scared1:I told her tell them she don't care if its without pay ect.But she is not sure if they will allow it for a vaca or not.Heres hoping for the best should know in a day or two

I saw you have a thread going on Jedi Training. When we were there in Nov we went to the Jedi Training, The best time to be there is when a show is going on, to the right you will notice a roped of area, stay close to the start of the rope, a few minutes after the show someone with a clipboard will go to the start of the line to sign up new recriuts, they ask the child a few ? to make sure they are not afraid to do it,if they put your name on the list, they give the child a robe & saber and you move into the roped area for the next show (about a 30min wait). I used this time to go get fastpasses at the Rock & Roll Rollercoster, while my wife & son were waiting for the show to start.
At the end of the show you had to give back the robe & saber, They give you a certificate saying you have completed Jedi Training etc.

My son had a blast and wants to do it again when we go in Dec.

Good Luck! Hope your son gets to do it, he'll have alot of fun:goodvibes

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Stalking me??? :lmao:

That thread on Jedi Traning is getting interesting, to say the least!! In fact I just put another post on there!!!

I'll probably stay there with my DS while my DW and DD stroll around, is there anything for them to do around that area??

My DS will NOT go on any ride that is remotely scary!!! So this won't be much of a thrill trip for me, more of a let my kids experience WDW casually for the first time trip!!! :confused3 But I know we'll have a GREAT time!!

I guess now I have to go out and buy him a light saber :darth: since I told him he'd have to wait and get one when he completed the Jedi Academy!!! Oh well, a daddy has to do what a daddy has to do!!! :rotfl2:

You must have been typing this as I was posting.I am good, just very busy now. This working crap is for the birds!!! I guess my little 2 1/2 month vacation is over( liked it alot better when I could go outside and play in the snow)Like you said now that the weather broke I have tons of work, these wheelchair bound people have been waiting patiently to get in and out of their house .So now you wont see me on here during the days nearly as much.As for this weekend it also was very busy Had a pool tournament on Sat. but we didn't fair to well then Sun I volunteered for serving breakfast at my Elks lodge( proceeds went to the Challenger baseball league). Those that don't know it the challenger league is for kids with disabilities so it is a special cause.Soon our local little league starts so that will cut even more into my Dis time. But what the hey someone needs to step up and volunteer for the kids!

Sorry to hear about your wife, I hope everything goes well and she's back in the swing in no time & you guys can still go in Dec. My wife is looking forward to meeting all the other wives.

I told you we were on the same wavelength, I knew something was woo.:confused3

Welcome to any and all new Dis Dads that I may have missed:welcome::welcome:

Lived in Greenwood for two years back in the early/mid 70's. Was just there yesterday for DS13's two soccer games. Travelled Hwy 25 for part of the trip.

Grew up in the Low Country.......the part of SC that is really "God's Country!" Loved my short time in Greenwood though. Wish we had stayed longer.

Getting stranger...I grew up in Charleston (actually Mount Pleasant)....I'm guessing you played behind the Y? Used to Referee---I played soccer in college.

Like Greenwood, but the Federal Government pays bettter:lmao::lmao:

I'm not a stalker! Came across the thread on the fourm page, I'm always willing to help out a fellow Dis Dad:thumbsup2

Once he gets into the roped area, I think he has to stay there, the only things I can think of in the area are The Backlot Cafe to the left, if you want to do lunch while you wait, and the few playground type Star War things across from where the line is. Other then that I can't think of anything off hand.

Sorry to hear. Hope all goes smooth and she is back to full strength soon. DW had to go through that before our trip last summer. A relaxing trip away was part of the recovery. Everything went picture perfect, and they were able to do it all laproscopy. Hope you get the same news and result.

Wish we had played behind the Y. Much better fields. But no, we played at County Bank Fields, about a block off 25 over from downtown area.

Grew up in Georgetown myself, so Mt. Pleasant not far away. Used to love stopping there at the Krispy Kreme store and getting them fresh off the line, BEFORE they had the Hot Doughnuts Now signs to let you know. I think that was probably a little before your time though.

Umm..no, I went to school right next to that Krispy Kreme (Moultrie Middle)...oh man, the smells could really torture you:lmao::lmao:

My cousin was the Chief of Police killed in Georgetown back in 1994(?)

My wife's from Myrtle Beach so I go through there a good bit....

Not familiar with those fields......but it's changed so much since I left..

AND GUYS, I KNOW THIS IS A HIJACK...........GET OVER IT, THE DANCING FEDERALIES WORK FOR ME....:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I appreciate the help!!!!

And thanks for the info, I'll have my DW go keep my DD busy and come back at show time!!

Hey, if my son is "roped in" in line can I just leave him and go to the rides while he's there??

NAH... I couldn't do that!!! :rolleyes1

PS. How do I get the Dis Dads thread to show as a link in my signature with my member's number like all you other cool dad's have???

That I can not help out with, sort of Old School don't want to know too much about the PC, don't want to lose the hard way of doing things:lmao:

I'm sure one of the Dads can steer you in the right direction:thumbsup2
