WHEW!!! I read through the list at the beginning of this thread, and I fit quite a few, but not as many as some of you!!

I am addicted to the DCL, and although we will be in WDW for the first time this MAy with our DS and DD I have already planned our next DCL trip!! AND... last year on our DCL we bought into the DVC, I want my kids to grow up with LOTS of Disney Magic Memories!!! pixiedust:

So if you would please, count me in!!! My wife thinks I'm CRAZY being on the Dis so much, but she sees all the great things I've found!! So while she sits with her laptop in the other room doing her scrappbooking STUFF, I'm in here learning and sharing the Magic!!!

Thanks MEN!!!! :thumbsup2

PS. Can ANYONE help me find a place to fulfill #35 on the list?? Besides making my own!!!!

:dancer::welcome::dancer: A fellow member from NJ

OK got to test you - If your on a bus, and If you are able, would you give up your seat for a woman, child, elderly, disabled, or even a man holding a child?

Check out one of trennr's posts. You'll get the picture but I don't know where you'll get the shirts! ;)

I was checking out some YouTube videos and I ran across this series about Disney World:

Walt Disney World: Past Present and Future

Interesting to see some of the old stuff... they hadn't even built ToT when this was filmed. I learned some new stuff tonight.

:thumbsup2 cool show. if you ever get the chance don, take the keys to the kingdom tour. you have to be 16 to do it so i had to wait till dd turned 16 and dw didnt go (didnt want to spoil the magic) but they start you on main street and walk you around and explain alot of the history and roys thinking when he built the mk. they take you behind the buildings, they show you were floats are kept, how employees get around ,food, garbage, cast members costumes and even take you into the utilidors. they show you how rides work, we had haunted mansion and jungle cru. they showed a movie on the cast members laundry were they clean all the costumes and how they keep track of them, even dd mouth was on the floor. the only time a human touches them is sorting, after that, its all done by machine. even putting them on a hanger and they are all bar coded. one of the most intresting things to me was the characters. inside those costumes, there human!! we got to watch woody and jessy get ready. i all ways thought they had some kind of cool suit on, nope, they sweat it out under there. i could go on for hours what i learned. ive been there every year since 73 and walked by so much that i had no idea wht,why or how. in the utilidors, there are old pics and the one, our guide all most started to cry, it was opening day at wdw and roy made the speach and took off, jumped on a boat and the guy took off.:confused3 roy needed time, couldnt face the thousand of people knowing how his little brother should of been there doing this. another intresting fact she made which i didnt know, by october 1971, opening day, the place was paid for!!! roy was a financial wizzard. very, very cool tour if you get a chance!:thumbsup2

WELCOME!!!!! another guy from the gadden state!!!! my dw lived in lopat for a time when she was a kid!!!! like most from jersey, she moved to pa.!!:lmao:glad to have you around. did you bring cheese balls?

I assume you are coming I-81 S to I-26 E?

Made that drive Thursday evening (headed out) and yesterday (returning home). DD had a dance competition in Pigeon Forge. 26 E is an awesome drive, especially the miles immediately on/around the Tenn/NC boarder. We now have to go that way if we want to go anywhere out of NC to the west due to the rock slide on 40. Sure adds a hell of a lot of time on, though.

On another note, if any of you want a great time to go to Disney, try an extended Labor Day trip. We went this past LD (flew down late Thurs night thru Mon) and walked on anything that we wanted to with a couple of exceptions (Soarin was a 60 minute wait,as was TSM), but everything else was EASY. After 30 minutes on our first day in the park, I remember telling DW "honey, I don't want to jinx us, but I don't think there is anybody here."

Can anyone tell me about middle of June crowds?? Not concerned with the heat at all, just the numbers. We are headed down then and honestly don't know what to expect. We've been at spring break a couple of times, and that was way crowded, but I'm hoping that mid June will miss a lot of folks. Can anyone enlighten me??

we have been down a few times in mid june. (dd dances in the mk) i would say its about the same as food and wine. its not to bad. we get up and do emh and rope drop everyday, go back around 1 or so to okw than back to parks around 4ish. afternoon gets crowded and i would stay away fron 4th of july. dd has been dancing since 3. shes now 17. comp. dancing since she was 8. next year shes a sr. her last year!!!!:woohoo: what im i going to do with all the extra money!!!

Drive thru are nice, down south in Louisiana my favorite is the drive thru daiquiri shop, drinks on the go. It doesn't grt any better:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

WOW! We have an "open container" law, so you can drive through and buy it, but you can't have it open in the car - even the passenger. I'm not sure what the penalty is.

I just went out last night and got 2 bags of sourdough pretzel nuggets!!! Someone has to send me what I need to supply in advance!! So who dropped the ball this time?? I'm new here, so I know it wasn't me.... YET!!! :rotfl2:

been talking to the Mrs about next years trip and it looks like we are going to try and take in thanksgiving if we can.is it always the last Thursday in November?.what we are looking at is to get there on the Tuesday and then be there for 14 nights so that we can get to see the Christmas stuff too.

so if it goes to plan we will be there from the 22nd of November to the the 6th of DEC. i bet i still miss the dis-dads meet.

have any of you guys used the bounceback offers you can take when you book during your stay and are they usually for 12months in advance?

this is the first time that i have been thinking of two disney trips at the same time:cheer2:

We have not done bounceback but with DVC points, we have been able to book two vacations at different times in the same year. We did it for the 1st time last year and will do it again this year. It really helps to get though the days.

You're making me look forward to this drive! Here in Delaware we're not exactly sure what other people speak of when they mention "mountains". They're mythical creations on par with unicorns and the tooth fairy, right? :lmao:

September is awesome! I remember walking through an empty line on Thunder Mountain Railroad to the loading area, and the CM told us just to pick whatever car we wanted to be in. Try not to let the secret out too much, ok? ;)

I have not been there in June, but I imagine it will be moderate in the beginning of the month and more and more crowded as the schools let out.
