Congrats to CornFuzz for notching post #1000!:thumbsup2 How long til Dis Dad's Club IV?

I agree with DC on the plan of action. Make sure you arrive at MK at 4. That way you can eat dinner, hit a few rides, and be ready for the party at 7.

And, be ready when you get to MK at 4 to get it done. Last year was our first trip to MNSSHP, and DW agreed to meet friends at 5. So, we ended up waiting and wasting a lot of time, and some of the rides close and are not open. Also, the food places close, so unless you want Turkey Legs and Halloween Candy (which worked great for me but the rest of the family complained), make sure you eat before then. Aloha Isle even closes:scared1:, so if you want your Dole Whip, get it before they close around 6:30.

We're planning on being at MK earlier in the day anyway, just doing a bit of casual touring after a late wake up and an extended afternoon break before returning for the party. (We're staying at the Poly, so the back-and-forth should be fairly easy to the MK).

Do you remember which rides close early?
I was hoping to take advantage of MNSSHP to get some major ride-time in with a smaller crowd - hitting some of the hot rides during parade #1 :)

Candy definitely will come last. I'M excited for the special character meet & greets, but characters are actually one of the things about which I am mildly concerned for this trip. DS3 has recently developed a severe aversion to "characters". We were at McDonald's on a night when Ronald McDonald made a visit, and he wouldn't leave DW's lap until the clown was gone. I later asked him casually if he'd like to meet a big Mickey Mouse or Goofy, and he said, "NO WAY!"

I'm hoping this is a brief phase, otherwise I'm probably going to have to do a LOT of replanning of this trip. :p

Send it to Vancouver will ya....:lmao:

Anyone here from DVCzerfs? I hope everything is okay.

I am a bit concerned about DVCZerfs also...it is not like him to be this quite and invisible! He needs to get back on here and liven things up! I did not see himon the facebook Disdads group either anymore.

I had a tasty trip ... a delicious trip ... a delightful trip!! I saw a t-shirt recently that said ...

There's a place on this earth for all God's creatures ... right next to the mashed potatoes!

... especially the cream cheese mashed potatoes in Le Cellier!!!!!

I should also note that I did get to enjoy the music of Mo'rocking. The music was mesmerizing! Yeah, it was the music ... honest!!

I was going to send him a message on facebook, but he's disappeared from my friends list.

Mark I just checked mine and he is gone from my friends list as well. He is also gone from the Dis Dads list on Facebook. Mike (Mijo) any insight?

I am glad it was not just my list he had disappeared from.....something does not add up here...hope he is ok;.

I Did notice The Jungle Cruise & The Tiki Room were closed. We did not do any rides once it started, too much going on, didn't want to miss anything:woohoo:

Roll up your pant legs, it's too late to save your shoes. Your fooling no one here:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I love that show:thumbsup2 Didn't realize they played music:rolleyes1

Well, it looks like we got about 15" here. I guess MD got blasted again, according to our son. I'm really sick of this. First, we had a cool, wet summer and now this.

Well we ended up with a whopping 4-5 inches. According to the weathermen here it was supposed to be the storm of the century. Some storm. :confused3

We got another 14 inches here, they are talking about another storm Mon/Tues. I hate burning sick days to shovel snow, my back is starting to get busted up from all the shoveling, would much rather use them when it's nice out. All along the driveway and the front of the house the snow piles are 5ft high. If I want to get into the igloo contest I'm going to need blasting caps.:lmao:

Yeah, what gives here??

This is strange, hope he's O.K., hopefully it's just a PC problem.:confused3

Me too - hope he's okay, and he's gone from my friends list too. He's still on there - I can see him and "add as a friend" - so it's probably not a computer problem... I sent him a message, so hopefully he'll respond.

Unfortunately (but fortunately) I answered 110 yeses out of 121 questions that were asked. So I believe I am well qualified to join this elite club. I want to start out by saying my favorite quote at Disney is "Por favor, mantenganse allejado de las puertas" and I blame my obsession on my wife and kids. The truth is, I feed the habit because I love it too. My family and I compete at the dinner table every night with Disney trivia games (WDW, movies, shows, characters, and any other related topics). I am a 34 year young male that feels like he is in his lower teens. The only advantage of being truely older is enjoying the beers around WS so I believe I have the "Best Of Both Worlds", if you are truely a DDC member, you would get the pun :goodvibes. We are going on our 5th trip in 4 years this coming March and looking forward to every second. We planned this trip while we were on ME going home in December. We have already have our trip after March already planned and I hope this qualifies me for the club. I am Mike and my kids call me "Goofy" :thumbsup2
