We're back and it's time for some Disney Detox. The trip went by way too fast. While some had a white christmas, we had a wet christmas, or as one CM called it "Florida Snow". Of course, the morning we left there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. CRT is a must do for anyone with DD's, as is Chef Mickeys for everyone. Crystal Palace w/ Pooh was weak, the food was mediocre and the place was a mad house. We went to ICE at Gaylord Palms and pretty much wasted our money as DW couldn't handle the cold, but everyone enjoyed the most expensive cup of complimentary hot cocoa ever. The Wishes Dessert Party (which I heard is ending soon) is amazing, had 4 bowls of Creme Brulee and other assorted sweets for a much needed sugar rush to finish out the day. We also got a code for a $500 merch. vaucher at $350, so right now our house looks like Walt Disney threw up.

Couldn't agree more on CRT. We've done lunch twice. I'd like to try breakfast one of these times, but we have no desire to do dinner. DD would rather see the princesses than the mice...
I thought Crystal Palace was pretty decent. Granted, there were probably a lot less people there when we went.
Can we expect a full blown trip report?:cool2:

Since I met Don during our last Disney vacation, I will vote for him as well. I am sure he wrote about our meeting in his trip report :rolleyes1.

Haven't been around in a while. These last few weeks have been pretty hectic. With the wife on bed rest till the end of the pregnancy, I have been doing everything. Good news is the bed rest is working and both mommy and baby are doing good. Mark it on your calendars January 28th at 8:00am baby No. 3 will make his debut.

Dave, I hope everything works out with your brother in law.

I hope everyone had a great holiday.

Hey Fed, where are the fishing reports? I am stuck up here in the cold not able to fish. I was hoping to make it through the winter by reading your reports. I guess I will have to keep looking at this until the weather warms up enough to get back out there.

You know, Kevin... which day did we actually meet up? I was trying to remember as I continue the TR, but since I didn't have the camera with me that time at the pool, I'm drawing a blank :confused3

Glad to hear mom and baby are doing good :thumbsup2 Can be scary when the doctors order bed rest. Maybe we need to start a baby pool for guessing gender, birth weight, length, and birth date and time?? :cool1:

And yeah... where are those fishing reports? :cool2:

This guy is working on almost 8 months for a Trip Report, and we're trusting him to start Phase 3 of our Plan for World Dominati... sorry, I mean our discussion thread? :rotfl2:

Heck, he gets my vote. :thumbsup2

:lmao: yes, but he has videos!!! i think theres an update coming!:woohoo:

If only we could just get the Mods to give us our own Forum... I vote for Don as well. Who else could keep things so up-to-date as he?

Glad to hear everything is still fine. Only 30 more days for ya! I assume since you have a date that your DW is scheduled to be induced? Three out of four of DWs pregnancies were induced. Still a very long day in two of those cases.

If the the Fanatic wants the job I think he should have it, but if not I think it would be a toss up between you and Emma's Dad, (he is very good at updating lists.):thumbsup2

Just got some good news it looks like I'm going to WDW Jan 16th-20th.:cool1::cool1:

I agree Don is it.:thumbsup2

:woohoo: A trip, I will be getting there just after you leave. Make sure the weather holds up for me.:lmao:

Glad to hear both are doing well. Good luck the rest of the way, my wife had a planned C-section with the second one, it was kind of nice being able to plan the whole day. Well, fun for me I guess.:lmao:

ok Dads...we are looking at the possibility of the second week of August next year for a return trip to "The World". Besides hot...for those who have been that time of year...what are the crowds like? I wanted to go in October again but she wont let me take son out of kindergarten for a week. Sheesh it is only kindergarten :rotfl2:

This will be a planned c-section. The first DS was an emergency c-section after 14 hours of labor. That was a long day. The second DS was a planned c-section. We were in the hospital at 6:00am and he was out by 9:30am. That was a lot easier on both of us.

Don, I don't remember what day we met on the bus or what day we were talking at the pool. I will have to dig out my spreadsheet and see what day we went to DHS. I keep busting on you for not finishing your report, but at least you are making an attempt. I was to lazy to even bother trying. We can recreate the picture in June. We will be driving through your neck of the woods on my way to Kitty Hawk for vacation!

LOL... that's what my wife said last year... but I won and we took DD out of kindergarten anyway. Not sure how the crowds are in August.

That WAS an interesting meeting on the bus! Glad we got to hang out for a few minutes anyway. Hmmmm... I'll have to find a pool in our area that has a Jaguar Slide! :lmao::lmao: Let me know when you are rolling through!

I saw it once but never did it myself. This is an awesome gift! Here is what I found:

Take command of the wheel and experience the thrill first hand
Must be able to drive a manual (standard) transmission

Participants should arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled driving time for check-in and
complete their Liability Waiver and Participant Information (Medical) Form.
- Students will be issued a driving suit for the class -
:5 minutes Orientation and Video
Meet RPDE staff and watch a short video featuring Richard Petty
:20 minutes Driving Instruction
Learn from your crew chief how to master the track driving line, acceleration / deceleration points, following distance.
:25 minutes Mechanical and Safety Instruction
Learn the details of the race car including entry and exit, shifting pattern, safety devices and more.
:10 minutes Mandatory Driver’s Meeting
This is the time to go over final details, ask last minute questions and receive the driving order. Participants will have their photo(s) taken next to a RPDE car. Then hear those famous words in Motorsports, "Drivers Start Your Engines!"
:1 hour approximately Driving Experience
Time varies by experience.
Participants driving in a program with more than one session will receive feedback from the instructors each time exiting the vehicle. This ensures that each subsequent session shows improvement in driving skill and takes you closer to meeting the top goal speed.
:15 minutes Closing Ceremony
Participants will receive a Graduation Pack, including a detailed lap-time sheet showing each lap driven and an official Graduation Certificate with name, date and estimated top goal speed reached.

Thanks for the info MiJo, sounds like this will take some time.

I hear ya. I tried during Kindergarten and again in 1st grade, and the answer was no. Even the school is in on it - don't want to hurt their academic development - it's kindergarten. I've never been in August. We used to go in September and the crowds were non-existent.

it is funny tht you should say this because when I typed the question I was thinking that if I had posted this on a thread the ladies frequent that I was have been hunted down and killed:scared1: then they would have twisted it into being anti education. Sheesh it is only kindergarten OL:rotfl2:

when dd is out of school, one more year.:woohoo: we are going to try sept.it allways sounded good. i feel for you younger dads, i couldnt even think of starting over again. we took dd out in kinder to see how it would go, and evey year since then we have. were lucky, our school gives the kids there work prior to leaving and she been on the honor roll since middle school. i design a/c systems and heat systems so its hard for me to get out of work in the summer. she learns from reading, me, i learn from listening, if i were to have missed 2 weeks of school when i was a kid, id still be there trying to get out.:lmao:she one of these people that reads and retains, me , i read it six times and still dont remember, and its getting worse!!:lmao:

We took our son out of pre-k this year, it seems like half his class has gone this year so far, and alot more are going before the school year is done (I gave some WDW advise to one of the dads in Sept. for his trip, now it seems like I hear alot your the person I need to about Disney from the other class moms and dads):cool1: My wife works in the office of a school and she also took off to go.
Next year when we go in Dec. we will be pulling my son out of Kinder. for the week, and the wife will take time off once again.
My wife says in her school alot of teachers even take time off during the year to go to Dis + you would be surprised on how many kids are pulled out for a week to go.

When we went on our Honeymoon it was the 2nd week of August, besides it being hot, it seemed like everyone who lived in Brazil was there, everywhere you saw someone leading a group holding a flag leading a huge group. I don't know if they do this everyyear or not, but if you see them coming run, if a group gets infront of you, your now on the line ride.:scared1:
