DIS Dads The Dis Dad's Club II

I can see it now....a train full of guys in red shirts attracting the attention of all within view because MiJo and his wife are leading 400 plus people in the DIS Dad's Club theme song.....which is what

Ha Ha! Well, we were just down to the World in October and, at this point, I don't know if we'll ever be going back, so I'm not the guy to lead the theme song! I do have a year to work on the DW, though, but it is doubtful we will be going in December 2010. We're looking at a possible trip around 2012 or 2013, when our DGS is old enough to enjoy his first trip but who knows if that will actually happen? I'm hopeful that it will.
Since our kids are all grown and out of the house, I'm not sure I really qualify for this Club. I may have to start the DIS PopPop's Club or something! That would require a whole different theme song!

Another option might be for everyone to meet near Aloha Aisle for a group Dole Whip Float party!

You are a brave man and hope you had a lot of to help you get by. DDs will turn 8 in January and is asking for sleepover.

Not too bad. I took the younger two DD to my sister's house. They spent the night there, and I hung out until almost time for them to go to bed. When I got back home I hid out in the bedroom watching a movie on the laptop.

8 is probably a better age to do a sleepover. I think they would be better to listen and go to bed than the 10/11 year olds. Good Luck!

We have DS birthday party today, his actual birthday is not until the 27th but we do it early because everyone seems to be so busy around that time of year. The party is at a local arena and we are having a skating party. We have 21 kids confirmed Hopefully I make it out alive.

I've been lurking alot but not posting much. It has been a rough few weeks with my wife and soon to be baby No. 3. She was in the hospital two weeks ago with early contractions which are now under control. She is on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy. She was back in again yesterday with blood pressure issues but thankfully she was released quickly. So far baby is very healthy and has 8 weeks till he makes his appearance. Mommy is bored sitting on the couch but hanging in there.

I am trying to reserve us a room for the night before our cruise in March. I was just going to have them put us at the Pop Century or one of the All Star resorts but I have no idea what is the best. We are just going to be there the one night. What would the kids get a kick out of the most?

My son liked All Star Movies, it is broken up into a bunch of different sections. Toy Story, Fantasia, Herbbie The Love Bug, 101 Dalmations & Mighty Ducks. We will be staying there again for the Dis Dad trip.

The kids since they are young would most likely enjoy All Star Movies, Or Pop Century the most out of the 4 resorts.

With the Holidays coming up it got to be tough on her, tell her to relax and take it easy & cater to her needs. My wife was on bed rest 16 weeks in, and she was trying to do all kinds of stuff, she drove me crazy I didn't know what I should do. I'm glad to hear everything is OK and hope the next 8 weeks fly bye for you.

KTME: My son was born on the 19th of December and my wife was trying to run around and do holiday stuff as soon as we were sent home. I had to get a death grip on my man card and "convince" her to take it easy (that was NOT a simple job)

For those of you with birthday parties, I was off this weekend with the same issue....15 2-4 year olds for my son's birthday party...holy cow, I wish you could harness that energy

Workin around the house today, probably going to hit a fishing hole sometime this week if the rain holds off. It's hard to get in the Christmas spirit when the temps are in the high 70s low 80s. It sounds great to you Norfers lmao, but I personally prefer four seasons!

I have not tried any of the Value resorts, but for one night, you probably can't go wrong with any of them. If you were at the All-Star resorts, you could move freely among all 3 of them.

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge for 2 nights before our cruise (shameless plug: trip report linked below in my signature). If you're not going into the parks, you might want to look at a resort with more amenities, depending on how much time you'll actually be there. POR and POFQ have the boat ride to Downtown Disney, for example, as well as waterslides at all moderates.

In any case, I always feel like you can't go wrong staying anywhere on property. You guys will have a great time!

Your house sounds like ours....daughter was both on 11th and son on 21st of Dec and it seems like everyone is so rushed this time of year so we are trying and combined birthday party next weekend at a local museum that has a lot of hands on stuff for the kids to enjoy. Let me know how your party goes!

Well, the party went great, 1 hour of watching kids crash and burn on the ice, (I really shouldn't find this that funny) 1 hour of screaming and running around , 8 pizzas, and a bottle of tylenol for Daddy-O. Another year done.
