I asked about sitting in the front car on this past trip....Iknew Ethan would get a kick out of being there with the conductor. They said that they were no longer allowing anyone in there. I guess that must be do to the accident.

When we were there in September I asked and was told the same thing. I told the CM I understood and was sorry to hear what happened. He said you'd be amazed at the number of people who argue with them over it as if it was their personal choice not to let you up front. He did spend some extra time talking to my son about the monorail so it was still pretty cool.

I'm just happy that when we took Owen before he was 3 we got to sit up there a few times and I got video of it. I figure down the road it will be one of those things someone will look at and say "you mean you used to be able to sit up there?"

I was very pleased to see that thaey are still handing out the Transportation Trading Cards (3) bus (12) monorail (3) boat (18) in all. I don't know if they give out the 2 monorail ones (hopefully not). Ask the bus driver, or a CM at the posts of the boats and monorail stations if they have any trading cards, not everyone has them so you might have to ask around. The Epcot monorail station was the best place to score them.

Really? I've never heard of these. I can imagine the look on my son's face if he had monorail trading cards!

My wife wants EPCOT and my son changes his 9 year old mind everyday with a new reason. We might have to try to sneak another Disney day in there somewhere. Right now it's EPCOT, Seaworld, Aquatica, Holyland Adventure with a trip to the Pirate's Dinner Show that night, and possibly Discovery Cove.

Are there any DIS Dads that have been to Discovery Cove? Is it worth the price of admission? :confused3

Yes

We have been there three times and alway have a good time :yay::yay:

If you go to Google and search Disney World Tranportation Trading Cards

There are a few sites that show all 18 cards:surfweb:

I was going through some of our pictures this evening and laughed when I saw that I had accidently gotten a shot of Belle that might not be the typical pose LOL :rotfl2:

Seeing the Disney Princess pictures back on page 154 reminds me of a funny story.

Quite a while ago, when I was single, I worked at a few radio stations here in the northeast and I was pretty knowledgeable about music.
Fast forward to me being married with two dd's and no longer in the music industry. We were at a dinner party and there was a conversation about current alternative music and someone was asking about a certain group/ song, so they turned to me (since they new I was a DJ) and asked for the correct answer. I told them I did not know. I paused for a moment... then I said I was no longer up on current pop/rock music, but I could name all of the Disney Princesses. :lmao:
The look on my friends faces was priceless. :scared1:

Then to top it off, I told them Cinderella was my favorite.:thumbsup2

We were having dinner with the parents of one of DDs friends a week or so ago and the conversation turn to Halloween costumes. I mentioned that Madison dressed up as Jasmine on her birthday at WDW, and as Cinderella on Halloween. He had to ask me "Which one is Jasmine?" I almost fell out of my chair. This guy has a 5 year old daughter?:confused3

I don't know if any of you guys covered this. Princess Tiana & Prince Naveen meet & greet, located in Liberty Square behind the shop that sells Christmas ornaments in the white gazebo. We were taking a shortcut and found them by accident.:goodvibes They had charm and wit & my son really liked them:love:

In August I was very hesitant to buy an iPhone because I didn't want to be accessible by email 24/7, but my assistant's smart phone was dying so I bought her and I iPhones. Then one thing led to another.

First I found podcasts including the DIS Unplugged and I found an outlet for my passion for Disney that has been with me for 32 of my 41 years. Then that led me to the boards. Then tonight I stumble upon this thread.

I'm sure everyone has the same story about how your passion for Disney makes you feel somewhat like an outcast. Sure, I love betting football, racing cars, my GSXr, but Disney? Was something wrong? What am I reaching for in my childhood that wasn't satisfied?

Well, it doesn't matter now. As I can see, there are ten's of thousands of us out there. I am passionate about my family, career and Disney! Yeah, that's right, I used the love smile!

Now...can someone call my wife and tell her I'm not the only one?:earsboy: And as Walt said "it all started with a iPhone."

When my wife says a grown man obsessed with Disney, I remind her that Walt was a man. She LOVES it and it shuts her right down.:rolleyes1

Got some interesting news today at work...it seems at though the hospital has made an error in pay for 8 YEARs!!!! Depending on what the lawyers have to say....there might be a hefty back pay coming my way WoooHOOO!!!! I have a feeling it wont happen but it is fun to think about.

wow, think of the eight years of fines and pen. for the taxs being paid late!you will probley owe them 20k by the time they are done.:lmao:

GM, Dave! You working today or just up early? I'm waiting for the DW to rise and shine so we can hit a diner and then grab groceries. I have to split firewood later this morning and work on an antenna some time today.

No brother, you ain't the only one...:rotfl2:

So guys, I've been busy trying to get my guys settled and off to home. I'm out of here 0030 (our time) Monday morning...get into Jacksonville 1025 AM EST Monday....it's a loooooong flight to Dulles from Kuwait City.

So, what'd I miss?:surfweb:

Driving to Newark, NJ this morning to drop the in-laws off at Royal Carribean. I hate driving especially up there. Good news is they are not going to be around for Thanksgiving....:rolleyes1

Dave, I may have to stop in for a beer on the way home to calm my nerves!!!!:rotfl2:

Fed, you are alomst there. Just think how good the turkey will taste this year. I remember a few years (okay maybe more then a few) spending thanksgiving day in Ft. Irwin California at the end of a 1 month training excercise. We were waiting for a flight to take us back to Ft. Polk. While we were waiting they thought that it would be a good idea for us to look for spent shell casing......in the trash dump!

Goofy Jr. 88 - I can only the assume the 88 is for Dale Jr. :thumbsup2 Here is hoping next year is better then this year.

Okay I am delaying the inevitable...Newark here I come.

You're not the only one. DW and I honeymooned there almost 10 years ago. Now, been going every year for last 5 years and added a second trip as well. DW and others in the family wonder why I want to go to Disney every year for vacation. They just don't get it. Two DDs (7,5) love Disney as well so I have some allies.

In terms of extremely important events, I'd say the only things you're missing are my trip report and the upcoming Cleveland Browns vs. Detroit Lions game. It's difficult to put a price on either one. :lmao:
