Haven't taken out the Christmas decorations yet... although I did give it some thought this gorgeous weekend. Instead... spent my time running around with DD. No... really... RUNNING! She suddenly got into this kick of wanting to run faster so she can beat her friends... so I've been her sprinting buddy over the last week. I realized something this weekend... I'm out of shape! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

"I'm going to Disney World" is a staple for me, and the head shrinkers just roll their eyes and dismiss me:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Of course, some of my other comments aren't taken so well:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

october!! wow! when do you take them down? we are new years eve people. i take it all down new years eve day.

Usually around the week after Christmas. My oldest's B-Day is Jan 6th...we usually have it down before then.

I'm glad to not have it up in October anymore...I'm a bit of a Scrooge when it come to decorating...Pretty to look at...but a pain to put out...and put backup.

Hmmm... and not to mention the strain on the power bill...

We are planning to see this very soon. I remember seeing the preview for it at TS1&2 3D double feature. It was soooo cool. Reminds me of how I felt when The Matrix first came... new technology always adds a new level to the movies.
Thanks for your review :thumbsup2

Missed the TS1/2 double feature...every spare minute was spent working the Corn during October...also missed "Where the Wild Thing's Are" (this was one of my oldest sons favorite books growing up...called it the "Monter bot"...read it to him every night for years.)

Christmas Carol...Jacob Marley's ghost, The departure of the "Ghost of Christmas Present", and the whole sequence with the "Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come" could be considered somewhat spooky...me and my boys loved it...DW said to SIL during the movie "Disney's got a Dark Side!"

I want to go see the movie "Avatar"...now that looks way cool in a freaky Scifi way.

All this talk of Christmas Lights (mine are up, by the way. When you get nice weather in Wisconsin in November you use it!) and then this pops into my twitter feed. I bet this could be any of us instead of Donald Duck!

All of this Christmas talk got me thinking of my youngest dd and her 5th birthday party a few years back.
She wanted to have a Christmas theme for the party. FYI: her birthday is April 26. We put back up quite a few of our decorations, including the tree and I rented a Santa suit. But the best part... I put some of our lawn decorations up as well, a reindeer and an 8' blow up Santa. :rotfl2: The neighbors must of loved that!

I think I'll go find the Santa, put him up today with the weather being so nice and surprise the girls and my wife!

You're an awesome dad! I can just see the neighbor's faces now... :confused3:confused3

Hey...Is that cousin Ed's RV parked on the Street??? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

You guys are killin' me...

"Somethin' Reeaalllly Nice, Clark":lmao::lmao::lmao:

Favorite cousin Ed quote...from the original Vacation.

"Mmmmm, mmmm, mmm. I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh?"

Wow, all this early Christmas talk is starting to get me in the spirit. Watching "Christmas Vacation" is a part of our tradition each year. I still bust a gut no matter how many times I see it. That movie is the only reason we still keep around our VHS player (oh, and I guess our wedding video too - oops).

A/C is busted, God I really hope this doesn't put a dent in our Xmas / WDW plans....we'll deal with the heat tonight (actually quite comfortable out for S.Fl.), but please, please don't let this drain our vacation fund......
