She is an outside dog, always has been. None of my neighbors have dogs. The last time I was home, (Two weeks ago) I sat on the patio and listened while she barked but couldn't hear any other dogs barking or any noises but her hearing is better than mine. Its very strange because she only does it after it gets dark. As soon as the sun comes up she gets quiet. We have a large back yard and the kids play with her during the day.
im guessing maybe a small animal in the yard? could there be a skunk or ground hog or a rabbit running around at night? the dog next to us had that problem w/ the new cat down the street that the owner would let out for the night. one of my clients had that problem for a few nights, the dog would bark imself horse. one night he went out to look, there was a family of black bears in the tree at the end of there property.2 cubs and a mom.:lmao: the cubs would run up the trees afraid of the barking dog, the dog kept barking because the cubs were in the trees.:lmao: they never seen them during the day.

I'm also in for the party bus! I'm surprised that from this group the suggestion wasn't "Limo.... make it a stretch. Wait, no, make it a SUPER STRETCH!" You know, something that will go from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds with a CD player full of Aerosmith tunes?!?!

Nice RnR reference. "Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow"

Donuts in the kitchen at work today.......MUST.......RESIST.......

Don't do it, man. I've lost almost 50 pounds in the last year by cutting out (or at least significantly down) stuff like that. The hardest thing I've had to do was walk past the cakes, cookies and donuts that co-workers bring in, but I've never felt better.

Made it to lunch unscathed, I think I'm home free!:sail:

Congrats on the weight loss, I know how hard it is, I have also lost a bunch of weight this year, 57 pounds to be exact. Basically cutting out all my sugar intake, walking and drinking tons of water. I saw my pics from this years trip in Jan and thought "when did that happen!" Made a decision that day that I had to make a change, I feel better than I have in years.:cool1:

Good work resisting the temptations, Poopachino!:thumbsup2

Where are you staying on your next trip?

Its been an outstanding weekend I'm gonna bust with the news .....but before I get to the great news let me first say congrats to everyone who lost or is losing weight,Good Job.Also welcome to any of the new DisDads. Now for the news, friday I get an email from Steve, a DVC member I have been dealing with for our xmas stay.He proceeds to tell me that the one night (we have been waiting for since Feb.)that would complete our 9 night stay came threw..New Years Eve..unbelievable.Then on sat. after no resistance at all from the wife I nail down (with another DVC member) a 7 night stay at AKV just before the kids go back to school.Since the cost per point was so cheap and they had it available I did a savannah view.I'm on the waitlist for concierge level but I'm doubtful about it happening. Its our first stay there and I'm hoping its as good as they say. Then to top it off this morning I get roundtrip airfare from NY using the $25 voucher per ticket on airtran saving$200 for the total cost of $516.80 for 4.....I'm must be in fantasyland right now........so after all this great news I have a little bad,I have to jump ship or should I say bus.I can't come with you guys right now I must do what us DisDads do best take the family to WDW.................:woohoo:

Googyz3girls, we'll forgive you this time for not jumping on the bus. Congrats on the huge savings and super locations. We'll want pics and details when you get back in a trip report. :thumbsup2

Way to go to all the DIS dads that have lost weight. I'm still working on it, but no luck. My biggest problem isn't sweets, it's portion size.

Great to see all the new Dad's and all the old friends here!

I was working on doing a week in the World but I was over ruled, so we will be spending a week at the Jersey Shore. Staying in a great house in Avalon, it should be a great time. Now talking about the World in late January / early Feb. Great time to go, no crowds!!!!

I was so excited for our trip in October. We were going right after the free dining promotion ended, so I was thinking the crowds would be lighter than normal with more people going early to take advantage of the free dining. (Being a DVC member, we don't get free dining). Now they come out with another free dining promotion for when we are there. This one isn't as good, so hopefully not as many people will be jumping on it.
Oh well - we're still going to be at Disney World, and I've already got all the ADRs we had planned.
The party bus is rolling out of Wisconsin on Oct 8th!

I had to make most of them at 90 days out. The first week we are staying with my in-laws about 40 minutes from Disney. Most of our big planned meals (ohana, 1900 park fare, Whispering canyon) are all that week. Since we're not resort guests at that time, I had to do each one at 90 days. I used the online reservation system, and here's a trick for all of you early risers like myself. Disney's phone lines don't open until 7:00am ET. But their computer system comes online at 6:01am ET. Each day I had my 90 day bookings made before the phone lines opened up!

Our second week is planned to be a relaxing, easy stay at the Beach Club Villas.

Number 120: You keep the Disney hotel soap from each night, then alternate those soaps with regular soap at home to keep reminding you of being at Disney.

Nothing smells as good as Disney hotel soap!

Number 121: When you listen to the "Wishes" music at home with your kids, you describe the fireworks to them.
