Well, thats it, we finally bit the bullet and booked I-Drive for a week then Wilderness Lodge for a week with Virgin. We fly in December on the new refitted planes. Apparently, we are now flying on the Airbus. Only drawback is that there are no longer 3 seats together, only 2 and 4. We compromised and darling wife and son will sit in the 2 whereas I will annoy others on the end of the 4. Does anyone know much about these new planes?:confused3:cool1::banana::banana:

Great news -we stayed at WL (a while ago) and really loved it :goodvibes

We too should be on the new plane when we fly from Manchester in December so will be like you with the 3 seat problem - it's nice to have a window seat when flying across.

You'll have to do a report on how the plane is:thumbsup2

I think we travelled on these planes last year to Barbados. Very nice with the entertainment changes. Only drawback is the seating, we do like to sit together. Will do a pre trip report and post report. Can you tell me what is the lodge really like?:thumbsup2

Congrats on booking!
we was ment to be on the airbus but we now may have to change our dates and will end up on the old planes if we have to do that,Im gutted as we have 6 in our party and each of the 3 boys like the window so the 2,2,2 would have been perfect......I cant complain though at least we should be together id be gutted having to sit next to somebody i dont know for that long!

We stayed for 5 nights one August - so we really made the most of being on site and coming back in the afternoons for a break as it was really hot.

It certainly has the wow factor with the lovely reception area, great views across the lagoon and boat ride to MK. We took the boat to MK, but used the car to get to the other parks.

Roaring forks was fine to grab some breakfast or a snack for round the pool. We didn't eat at the restaurants there as we had a couple of character meals booked.

Our room was on the 6th floor in the main building, quite near the lifts, but I can't remember it being too noisy. We also had a small balcony. We tended to use the quiet pool on an afternoon for a swim and used one of the lodge's floats for DD that we kept for the duration. There is also a nice shop and we found the CMs to be very friendly.

I'm sure you'll really enjoy it :goodvibes

We (me, dh & dd) flew on the airbus last year and are on it again this year, if you don't mind sitting at the back (we book to sit second row from back) it is a row of 3! I know it takes longer getting off but your luggage is usually ready to collect by the time you get to it! :thumbsup2
