I Just thought of something!

When I go in December, the 50th anniversary celebration will be over. No more golden ears! I wonder if they will take the gold off the castle???

What is the theme of this year? What's new for October? :chat: :chat:
good question.

Ok, off to bed for me! I'm getting sore and grumpy, so it's time for meds and bedtime! Happy weekend, everyone! :goodvibes

What ones did you use?

Okay this is really testing my memory...I just went searching for it and my oldest says "I just threw it away a couple of weeks ago". It was a black barreled marker with white writing on it. If you give me a couple of days I can check at the store and find out the brand. Can't go tommorow have to watch the Broncos play (I am a horrible Broncos fan(I root for whichever team is actually playing better)).

So I can find out Sunday for you!!

Why don't you make a Christmas in July shirt. Something like Celebrating Christmas in July with Oddball Or Celebrating Christmas Disney style in July.

Becky

Now that is brilliant!!!

So creative when my creative juices are low!!

I love this thread ::yes:: :flower3: ::yes::

There is such a think as Tinkerbell ears?

That is all I want for Christmas. That's all. I swear.

Also, another trip to Disney World. A Disney Cruise. More Tinkerbell things.
:rotfl2: :rotfl: ::yes::

Like a mailman...neither rain, or sleet, snow, fog or hail was going to stop me...and that's exactly what I drove through today to see the grandbaby. He's cute as a button...hope everyone had a good day. Off to go drink a glass a wine. My knuckles still hurt from gripping the steering wheel. ::yes::

what an adorable baby and grandma!!! :flower:

Is there something I didn't know about Tinkerbell?? :confused3 Quote from the gift site above:

Disney's Tinkerbell flies around and around on this unique toy. Takes two AA batteries. Fasten the hanger to the ceiling with the screws provided. Allow 6 feet from objects. Tie the line to the tether loop. Switch on and watch him :rotfl2: :rotfl2: fly. To protect your flying figure when not in use, place on storage stand (included.) Tinker Bell figure measures about 7.5 inches tall!

Don't you like when they modify a post for something else and miss something obvious like the gender.

.

Those are the funniest...the unintentional goofs!!

I'm off to bed. I really need to spend more time designing and less time trying to keep up with this thread. :rotfl: I have 49 days left before we leave. I need to finalize the designs, print the transfers, iron on the transfers. I am doing at least one shirt and one hoody for the four of us. I may do more for myself but I'm not sure the DD's and DH are ready for one per day yet (we are there 9 days). I am also doing pillowcases and tote bags for the DD's. I want to use the family design on our mousekeeping tip envelopes. I need to put together my autograph pages after all the wonderful ideas here today. I would also like to try the tie-dye.

I'll share pictures of everything when (& if) I get them done. Thanks for all the inspiration, :wizard:, and :grouphug: today.

Talk to you all tomorrow. If someone wants to remind me to spend some time designing that would be appreciated.

Okay heres a question for all of you that have made autograph books how many signatures did you end up getting.
The trip we did the book, we came home with 56 signatures :)
It was really a very magical trip for us. DD was 3.5 and DS was almost 2....great ages for the characters! They had really loved characters on our trip 5 months before, so I knew they'd want to see more. This was 1st or 2nd week in May (5 park days), low crowds, short lines, so it seems it took no time at all to collect that many! We also did 2 character meals, so some came from those.... And watch for the big groupings of characters if you're really trying to get a lot....they usually have several at the front entrance of most of the parks, especially early in the morning. Epcot now has Character Connection where there are 6 characters to meet (replaced the Character Bus). AK has several meet-and-greet stations set up where there are 3-4 characters to meet....

It really depends on your kids. Mine are happy to wait in lines for characters, and love the interaction, so we do it. Just depends....

Hey .... does anyone know if they sell graduation ears year round? Or just certain times of the year?

I meant to ask when we were there and forgot..... but I really need to get ahold of them if possible by May :goodvibes

ETA: and even if they aren't in the parks, can Merchandising get them? or just things available at the current time?

Jennifer -
DH and I have been tossing around the idea of a trip in April for spring break. I think we decided tonight that we are going to do it.

If nobody is able to find graduation ears sooner, I'm more than willing to look for you in April. We'll be home the 14th, so they should get to you by May no problem.

Congratulaions on a Disney trip! :goodvibes I will keep you posted as to whether or not we find them by then! Thanks for the offer!

No more character bus!!!

tinker1bell, what will you do????

No more running for the bus, knocking over the elderly and smashing small children!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :goodvibes

I am done packing finally! Goodnight all, I will try to check this thread before I leave. If not talk to you all when I return :cool1: Hope I can sleep tonight lol

Trying to catch up on all that is happening:

Those of you who scrapbook are very talented. I think I may just copy Clare's, and Bob's your uncle, I'll have a new autograph book ready to go. I might just put it in a 6 x 6 scrapbook. Delinda, we have gone down and returned with 40+ autographs and we have gone and returned with less than 10. It all depends on how much time you are willing to devote to standing in line and waiting for characters. Most recently we haven't been willing to wait that long, so no more than about 20 autographs.

Deb: What a generous thing for you to do for Kristen. I am sure she will be so excited to get a special gift from a princess.

Kristine: Did you get the patches that Deb made for Kristen? How is she taking to them? Beautiful grandbaby. It's when they are little like that, that I want one more. Unfortunately, you can't keep them 6 months and younger. I really like your new do.

Brendita: Sounds like things are going well for you. I am glad that you have a chance to breathe easier.

Jennifer: Glad you and Kyle have found some locations that will make you happy.

Becky, Jennifer, Christopher (Bengalbear's son): Hope you are feeling better.

Denise: I hope everything works for the best for you with your quest for DVC.

Tammi: Congrats on the high speed internet. I absolutely love mine and hope you will love yours too.

Mac: Good to see you. How is Mya doing with her new meds?

Tinknme: Have a wonderful trip!

Happy Birthday to all of thos celebrating this weekend!

I think I am caught up.

I am ready for bed. My DH and DS will be gone all day tomorrow for the BSA Klondike Derby. Hope it isn't too cold for them. They didn't spend the night tonight due to DS's allergies. DD and I will have to do something exciting ourselves.

I have tried to catch up to all of you chatty folks. In the meanwhile, I now have a few more ideas to think about.
Love the autograph book idea. I know DD will definitely be in love with all the characters there, so I need to work on that.
Also, the pillowcase is another great idea. DD loves to have her pillow around  , and I think I will have to try that as well.
Our final trip documents made it in the mail today :Pinkbounc . so, now it all feels so real.
Started on the tshirts today too. Good thing I had a couple of spares. I left the iron on too long for the first one I did, and it scorched just a little  . The rest turned out fine. Now only about 25 or so more to do. :scared:

DD's mouth is starting to heal, so I keep telling her "NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED!" :rotfl: I feel like putting her in a plastic bubble until we leave :rotfl:

Thanks for all the kind comments guys!
I really enjoyed doing that book....'cause it was Disney, it was fun, it was easy, and it was DONE! I've made 3 mini albums (6x6) but my MIL's Christmas present from 2 years ago (a 12x12 album covering our Magical Gathering for 20 (10 of whom she had paid for!) ) still sits incomplete. Have enough supplies to open my own LSS but they hardly ever get used! Someday I'll get my act together!

Somebody asked about pens....I use scrapbooking pens 'cause that's what I have on hand. They're archival, too, if you're worried about that kind of thing. If not, Sharpies will be just fine! Sharpies are your ONLY choice if you're having t-shirts, hats, or pillowcases signed. Did everyone see the new colors they had for Christmas? Too cute!

DD and DS absolutely LOVE their book. They call it their "Book of Disney Friends" :goodvibes And the personalized pages got WAY more attention for them in the parks! Because our trips are more frequent and open-ended now (we go every other weekend or so for the day) and we don't spend lots of time hunting down characters, I don't have a book in progress. So now I'm taking the plain 6x6 paper on a clipboard We don't get near the interaction we did when we took the whole book with decorated pages. They were SO impressed with that. If you have time at all, print some or scrap some to take on your next trip! We're planning some "character hunting" days in the spring, so I'm going to make another book before then :)

In the mean time....booked a quick 2 nighter on CASH of all things for the Expedition Everest AP/DVC preview weekend Jan 27-29 :teeth: Let's see....40 points for a studio in DVC or save those points for later and pay cash with the $88.05 AP rate (per night, includes tax). Cash it is! We'll be at the CBR. Haven't been there for 6 years now so looking forward to going back!

I'm jealous of your upcoming trip! :flower: I've been trying to convince DH to go that weekend, but he's not biting - even with the old AP rates back. I'm still hoping though - maybe I'll be extra charming this weekend. ;)

Don't know if somebody has responded yet, but Epcot turns 25 in 2007 - that could be the next "big thing."

Doesn't MK turn 35 this year (2006)?

She just won't tell you how excited SHE gets. Calling and waving to the character no matter where we are. Especially Mickey. She tells him that they are married now since he proposed to her last time she went :rotfl:
