the break even point on AP's is 11 days
Hey, Kate, is that break even point based on the regular price for the AP or the discounted DVC price?

I need advice:

Julia has lost her voice - she seems fine otherwise - she tells me it hurts to talk

her breathing is fine and her energy level seems normal

she is on antibiotics and has been for 6 days now - would you send her to school?

the lost voice seems to be the only problem -

I know it seems ridiculous to ask you all what you think - she hasn't been to school in over a week but I can't bear the thought of sending her back and getting sick again!!

how do you make the decision that your child is ready to go back to school?
No fever, no green stuff out the nose, no vomiting or diarreha (SP?). If they don't have any of those and their behavior is normal, they go to school.

Here's :wizard: hoping she gets better.

BTW, I'm sure a few of here would be happy if our kids lost their voice for a day or two...;)

Okay DDA family, I really need you!!!

My older sister's birthday is next week. What I want to give her is a trip to the World. My World. She's 65+ and has never been.... :scared1:

I am torn. If I go for the Christmas stuff (my first choice) I would have to go Nov. 30th to Dec. 5 or so. This will have to be a budget trip, but I would REALLY love to stay at the WL again.... She would love that...

If they offer the free dining again   (yes, I can dream) then I would like to go then. That would be Sept 28th to Oct 4th....

My dilema... I want to give her a tshirt for her birthday telling her she's going to Disney. Do I put for Christmas and then if they offer the free food tell her we're going earlier, or do I give her a thsirt just with a "trip to WDW" on it? I want her to know I have really planned this and we're going.....

I really want to go to Candlight Proc., see the Osborne lights, go to MVMCP. Watch the cute show at EPCOT. Look at the lights come on at the countries and watch the holiday ending for Illuminations...Sip a hot toddy in the lobby of the WL. Sit on the beach and watch the ELP and the fireworks. Take the little boat to the MK or the CR and ride the monorail. She'll just love it. Hmmmm, I really, really, really need a balcony....they have nice balconies with a peek at the castle, woods view.... And I really want the dining plan, that was so cool.... She'd love that because then she wouldn't spend all of her time looking at the price of food and freaking out.....

My AP expired. :sad1:    so I can't get the BRP. If I sell my condo in the next 4 days I'll buy DVC, but no DVC resort has a view of the castle!!!! :scratchin :scratchin

Okay, didn't mean to get so long fingered, but I really need a shirt for my sister......

Help!!!!! :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
Steffy - I know exactly what you are going through. We took my parents last year, who have never been, and I wanted them to see EVERYTHING.

My vote is for December. It is such a wonderful time of year to go, with all the holiday stuff going on. Go with a generic shirt, tell her you are considering 2 different weeks, and the one that comes out with the better discount wins!

I am now caught up.

Good morning everyone.

Good morning, Lynn. Seems like we are always some of the early birds, though I had to do a 20 minute back-up and a few other things before I could log on this morning. Drat those office opening chores...... they only help pay for my WDW addiction!

Good Morning back at ya!!! I need my morning song from Skunka.

Our school asks that the kids be healthy and rested for 24 hours before we send them back. If you think that it is just laringitis (spelling?) I think that could last a while and wouldn't effect her learning ability or demeanor. You know her best.

I mean the bare necessities

That brings the bare necessities of life

Where is Baloo when we need her to sing along with us!??! This is probably one of her favorite songs.

Lynn

Good morning all. I can't carry a tune in a bucket so I will leave the singing to the ones who can. Love the song though.

Good morning all...

Hope everone is well...

Today I am getting a hair cut & foil...I want something different. Besides magazines, what's a good way to come up with a new style?

I am more of a reader than a poster but I thoroughly enjoy reading this thread daily, I think you guys are a great bunch of people and I could defiantly use some of your prayers and pixie dust this week, my 5 year old son, Blake is having his tonsils and adenoids taken out on Thursday, I know that he will be much better off in the long run but right now I am terrified of him having to be put out.

Libby

I will pray for your son too! One piece of advice, take a change of clothes for yourself to the hospital. My DD threw up blood all over me when she had her adenoids out. Nobody warned me that this was normal, so I had to spend the day with it all over me.

I always defer to my hairdressers recommendations. She usually comes up with good suggestions.

Good morning everyone!

Guess what woke me up this morning???

LEG CRAMPS! Oh- I hate it when that happens!!! Oh the pain of it all!!!!

Thanks, Lynn! I will remember being at that game for the rest of my life. I'm especially glad I got to be there with DH and my parents - the Horns hadn't won a national championship since my parents' 2nd year of marriage, and I was not even a thought in their minds!

I'm a little bummed about Vince leaving for the NFL, but am trying not to be selfish and begrudge him his deserved success. He's such a great kid, and deserves such a chance for him and his family. He's done so much for our football program.

I was sad about the Dawgs, though - what happened??? At least they did make it a respectable game at the end - I thought I wasn't seeing right when it was 21-0!

Bama fan here! We were pulling for Texas too! It was a great game. We were at the Alabama/Miami Sugar Bowl in 92 when AL won the national championship. It is definetly a game to remember. Looking at Vince from outside your team, he really did not have a choice. He had reached perfection. Besides the chance of getting hurt, what if he did not have as good of a season and he went down in the draft. Congrats!!

Okay Steffy - here you go:

$2566 - Wilderness Lodge Sept.- October with Dining and 7 day park hoppers (2110 is the quote without dining which is where you price would be with free dining)

when I put in your December dates it told me there was no availability and then I tried to change the date and now the booking engine was down - but I would guess you would be looking at similar costs

If you buy DVC you could stay at the poly for 350 points for a lagoon view - I say this b/c if you bought now let's just say 200 points - I think you would get those points and then more points before your trip - so you would have 400 points you could use OR you could rent out 260 points at $10 each and have $2600 to pay for your Wildnerness Lodge view -

so that is something to think about -

Kate,

You should become a disney consultant!! :flower: I am still trying to figure things out for us.

on the regular - it is 7 days for a DVC AP

10 day park hopper no expire 410 regular AP - 441
7 day park hopper no expire 329 DVC AP 335

Tammi - this is assuming that you would want park hopper and no expiration - I don't think you can buy more than 10 days on a ticket

if you did not add an expiration option - you would probably be better buying the tickets - but I would assume if you are buying an AP you plan on using them on more than one trip
