This is Vanna White. She has been on "Wheel of Fortune" for a bazillion years. It is a game where you guess the letters to a puzzle (i.e. Hangman where you win money instead of dying). In the original days, she actually turned the letters of the puzzle. Now days, she just touches them. Totally useless, but eye-candy I guess.

By the way, we hold up or stockings with garters.

:rotfl2: go forward 6 pages - I just posted the exact same picture :rotfl2:

We used to have wheel of fortune but it got religated to daytime tv and then scrapped altogether! Nicky Campbell used to host it.

Garters? Only time we really use them is on our wedding day - we wear one elasticated one, not holding up a stocking though :teeth:

well we were there 17th-22nd..right before christmas..

It looked like it was going to rain almost every moring but it didn't.
it got upto low 70's everyday.

Little chilly in the morning and afternoons though. (there were still people swimming in the outside pool though..i think it was heated?)

I'm from PA though so chilly was still fine for me..hehe

Wore a light wind breaker like jacket and i was fine the whole day.

we then went to visit my wifes family in alabama from the 22nd till the 4th.. and weather was the same there..so i would guess it would be the same for your trip also..

Welcome back Shriva. Where in Alabama did you visit? Talking about weather it was almost 70 here yesterday and today is is 35.

we knew NOTHING about DVC when we went - I was pg with J and Steve went on ToT and RNR and I chatted with the guides right by there - Steve says it was the most expensive ride he ever went on

Hi  It's nice to see you back. I enjoy the pics. of your daughter, she is so pretty. Sometimes, I wish for a princess but 4 princes is probably enough to handle.

I am having a hard time figuring out what to pack. I have been in Feb. & the weather was perfect(shorts in the day & a couple of chilly nights with jackets). How is the weather in Jan, same as Feb? I'm trying not to overpack, which I have a very good habit of doing :rotfl:

I went last january, but they told me the weather was unusually hot for that time of year. it was in the 80s and i had on shorts and tanks every day and night...I tend to over pack too, so id probably bring a bit of everythign!

I just received this from my brother and I thought it was fitting here... Just substitute the root beer for diet coke.

A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where
God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of
root beer and he started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an elderly man. The man
was sitting in the park just feeding some pigeons.

The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase. He was about to
take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the man looked
hungry, so he offered him a Twinkie.

The man gratefully accepted it and smiled at boy. His smile was so
pleasant that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a root
beer.

Again, the man smiled at him.

The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and
smiling, but they never said a word.

As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to
leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around,
ran back to the man, and gave him a hug. The man gave him his biggest
smile ever.

When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his
mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him,
"What did you do today that made you so happy?

"He replied, "I had lunch with God." Before his mother could respond,
he added, "You know what? God's got the most beautiful smile I've
ever seen!"

Meanwhile, the elderly man, also radiant with joy, returned to his
home.
His son was stunned by the look of peace on his face, and he asked,
"Dad, what did you do today that made you so happy?"

The old man replied, "I ate Twinkies in the park with God." Before his son responded, he added, "You know, he's much younger than I
expected."

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word,
a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come
into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all
equally!

Oh I hope it's like that this time! Looks like I will be overpacking :earboy2:

I love this story but I always keep it root beer because I can't drink diet pop....horrible reaction to all artificial sweeteners!!

Angela -- Congratulations! That is the most wonderful news.

Did I miss Tink2020's good news, or has she not posted it yet?
