Steve and I love that new commercial out that shows people talking about the football season back in August -

the one says - I love my Bears but there is no way they are winning 3 games this year
another guy says "who is chad johnson"
another talks about how brillaintly T.O.'s manager is and how he really keeps his clients under control!!

do you like this one?

Haven't seen this one, but sounds pretty funny!

Hi everybody!! :wave2:

I just have one thing to say:

GO STEELERS!!!

Sorry, Kate.
That's okay Tammi

but I have to say I don't usually care who wins the Super Bowl - but this year my answer is anyone but the Steelers!!!!

Not according to hubby...he thinks think's it's gonna happen for the bears ::yes:: I myself will just be happy when it's Feb. 6th!

Ditto - now that Skunka has gone to bed... He is a diehard Pats fan. He had season tickets and sat in the freezing cold and they never won a home game. He moves back to New York and they start winning like there's no tomorrow.....

Anybody else see the connection??????? :teeth:

Hi Denise!!!!

I'm planning my December trip. I think I'll go the first part of December, end of November. I'm taking my sister, who has never been to Disney. :sunny:

Marti and Paul - What a weekend you had! I'm so sorry about your burn, Marti. I've been there and can totally sympathize. DH lost all our hot pads, and so I used a kitchen towel to take a pan out of the oven, got myself burned, dropped the towel into the oven and started a little fire, too. I feel your pain.

Paul, I'm so sorry your heroic dash down the stairs turned tragic. I hope your back feels better soon! Focus on your trip and let yourself heal!

Paul you're a sheriff not a firefighter. Take care of your back and Marti take care of you burn.

I used to work at a place where there was a pizza oven on the counter. There were boxes of chips stored above the oven on top of the cabinets. I reached up to get the box of chips on top of the cabinet. I hit my stomach on the top of the oven and burned it through my shirt. Luckily my shirt didn't have nylon in it or it would have burned fast to my stomach.

I had a burn all the way across my stomach an inch wide. It was right where the top of my pants hit. It hurt so bad to wear pants for a few weeks because they rubbed against. If I wasn't overweight I probably wouldn't have hit the oven with my stomach to begin with. So I need to lose weight so I don't burn my stomach anymore. :rotfl2:

Hi Kids!! Have you all been playing nicely in the playground??? We had an eventful weekend - its funny now, but wasn't then.

The readers digest version: Matt had a playdate on Friday and he is allowed to have the friend stay for dinner. So I put in some chicken nuggets and fries (Pay attention here - I don't cook). I go to take them out, of course I didn't use an oven mitt but used my sweatshirt instead (first mistake). I burned my hand and dropped the chicken. That proceeds to fall back into the oven, starting a small fire on the oven coils. I scream bloody murder for Skunka, who comes racing down the stairs, missing a stair and falling the rest of the way. So now I'm burned and his back is out. Needless to say, we had an eventful weekend!!! We need a break!

So send skunka some love - his back is a little better, but he's not himself. I can't wait to go away in a couple of weeks... we need some R&R!!

Oh my heck! This is liek somethign out of an I Love Lucy episode!! Well- after the pain is all gone and forgotten- you'll laugh about this..... right?!?!?

Hope ya feel better real roon!

you know - my week just hasn't been bad enough and now this happens:

my MIL called right before dinner tonight - she wanted to tell me something and didn't want to alarm me but she and her sister have noticed (independently of one another) that Julia has just stared off into space for a couple of seconds

so they have decided that they think she is having petite mal seizures. So I said - well I have never noticed anything like that and she says to me - well we do sit down with her and have independent play and one on one time with her - *** :confused3 does this woman who sees my child every couple of weeks really think that she spends more one on one time with my child than I do? I realize that usually we have Nick running around but it still really upset me.

I went online and read about them and they say they happen 20-30 times up to 100 times a day - don't you think I would notice if 100 times a day my daughter spaced out like that? Luckily DH understands why I am so upset

my mom who spends WAY more time Julia says she has never noticed anything like that but thinks that out of respect for my MIL - I should take Julia to the doctor -

DH thinks we should be on the lookout for a few weeks and get an audiology test for Julia - as there are times when she will say to me - what I didn't hear what you said - she can get lost in what she is doing and there are times I feel like I need to snap her out of what she is doing to pay attention to me but not a vacant look more like she is absorbed in hat she id soing

does anyone know anything about these?

My brother has these and from the way you describe Julie NO WAY. She sounds like a very imaginative young girl and we all know that children have selective hearing at times but it never hurts to get their hearing checked. My son 5 and also my teenagers have very selective hearing at times. My SIL used to tell me my older boy was hyperactive. Of course she would see him twice a year so I am like you *** does she mean. YOU know your child better than anyone else and if something was wrong you would be on top of it. I would just ignore her. Here is some :wizard: to help you through this.

In case you didn't see this on the thread - Kate has posted over 5,000 times. Since it seems she could use a pick me up, here is what I wrote:

Hey kate - you know what I think of you - but for all those out there in "cyberland" here is the top ten list about Kate:

10. She has made over 1,000 designs for people and never complains.
9. She handles all the requests for designs with no mention most of the time of a please from some of the people.
8. She entertains us all the time.
7. She cares about us, and she hasn't met us (except for Amy of course)
6. She helps out those that need help, even if it isn't design related.
5. She is not a disney employee, but should be for all of her gifted designs.
4. She has more threads addressed to her than anybody else I know. Most of those, however, start with "can I have....."
3. She's never asked for anything in return. (still blows my mind!!)
2. She's got two adorable children and I enjoy every story about them.

and the number 1 thing you should realize about Kate:

There would be no DDA without her. She is the heart and soul of the DDA, and while she couldn't do it without us - I'd like us to all realize that we couldn't do it without her.

So please take a minute, Please, and PM her to tell her how much she means to you. It doesn't have to be long, just insert a smilie to let her know you are thinking of her. I know it would mean the world to her.

So why are you still reading?? Go send her a PM !!!!!!

My MIL told me yesterday that she is getting ready to book us on the April 28 2007 Magic

Terry,

Make sure to keep the cats out as we don't want the sandbox to turn into a giant litter box.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY AREN'T REAL!!! In Disneyworld they are home, and everyone is real. That is the genuine Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Pooh! They are all real. Everyone of them.

Why else would 2 55 year old woman, almost run over the elderly and small children to get their autographs???? :hyper2: :hyper2: :goodvibes :goodvibes

I am the one who saw the character bus and started running :rotfl: AND I swear there were no elderly or small children in my path,,,that is my story and I am sticking to it :rotfl2:

Sorry this happened, its like a lot of people that dont believe in magic feel its necessary to thrust their "the glass is half empty philosphy down our throats!!

:flower2:

The glass is never half full or half empty, the container is just twice as large as it needs to be.

Of course they are real. Who would fly 1500 miles to hug some guy dressed up in a mouse suit.
