Since Paul is not here yet to post a song then I will.
How about ZIPADEE DO DA ZIPPEE A spelling?

I get cold sores as well. When I was younger it seems they were worse. Thankfully I do not get them as often now. I have used Abrevia & it does help with the healing time. I also use tea tree essential oil. This works very well as long as you do not mind the smell :rotfl:

Deb -- Poor Nicholas. My husband and I both get cold sores (both of us had the virus before we met each other). Mine are always huge, throb and really make me feel terrible. Randy's are usually small and don't really bother him. Anyway, there are a number of over the counter things, plus some prescription things that can help. My husband tries to remember to take Lysine every day. He said it really helps as long as he remembers to take it. Also, always wear lip sunscreen when outside -- summer and winter (snow reflection -- I used to always get them when I went skiing). There is a prescription cream --Zovirax, that is helpful if you put it on when you first start feeling the tingling. Randy has also had some luck with over the counter Abreva. It shortens the time you have the cold sore. I just called him to see if he had any other suggestions. He said there is something new he tried -- over the counter liquid, that someone told him about at work. He can't remember what it is, but said he would ask when he sees the person and will call me so I can let you know.

I also get them. I used to get really bad ones on my lips too. I've had it for as long as I can remember and the sores seem much smaller then they used to be. Now I generally get them inside my nose which is very uncomfortable, but they are not noticable. We have the prescription Zoviraz, but it doesn't help. He also uses the Herpicin chap stick. Unfortunately it just needs to run it's course at this point. Thanks for your suggestions. I wish they would come out with a miracle drug.

Deb -- Randy checked to see what he used on his last fever blister. It's something called Releev – small bottle of oily liquid. 6mL $20.00. He said it cut the healing time in half. I haven't used it, and everyone responds differently to different meds. Zovirax, if put on when I first feel tingling, has sometimes stopped my blisters, but since it hasn't worked for you guys, this new one might not work either. Might be worth a try... Good luck!

Hi Brenda - you have me stumped! Never heard that expression before - I even tried googling it - but all I came up with is it seems to refer to someone as being stubbon.
Thanks Clare,
that seems to fit.

Well just popping in & out.
Off to work.
You all have a great day. :sunny:

Brenda,
I found this as well- not exactly the phrase you said but pretty close.

Happy Monday everyone!!!!!

The past week has been very stressful for me in so many ways. Thank you to everyone who has sent me PM's, I have missed you all too!!

I spent the beginning of last week stressing over the boards and then I was so energized by the new thread and things seemed like old times but then I got a big old slap in the face that maybe they weren't. On top of that my kids were both about as sick as they could be and neither one is 100% yet.

I am so mentally and physically exhausted that I really needed to take some time for myself and think about things. I am hoping things are on the upswing here and at home!!!

I hope you all like the new logo - here are detailed directions to get them in your signature:

Another post for page 100!

Glynis, your salmon recipe was wonderful, tried it last night and loved it. Thanks! :flower:

Yea!!! I'm so glad you liked it! You know how sometimes your family thinks something is wonderful, and then you hand out the recipe to people and they don't like it as well? I was worried that this would be like that! It really is a good recipe. I'm making it for my family this week. Tonight I'm making Chicken Vera Cruz Verde. I'm hoping that my new stomach is up to chicken!
