So I attempted to post this like 30 times last night but the server kept having an error. So I stopped attempting to post this. I knew it wasn't going to get posted for awhile since I worked 11 hours today. I have a job interview tomorrow afternoon with an organization that provides supportive living services for families. Please wish me luck.

Right now I am working a retail job. The company's great but I don't want to work retail forever. Its a full time but now I am getting an 11 hour day a week, 3- 8 hour days and then a 5 hour day a week. The 11 hour day I am there all day by myself. In order to use the restroom I must lock up and walk down the hallway. Plus now some weeks my hours are being cut back, I am still full time but there are not enough hours anymore to have 40 hours a week and I am paid hourly.

Plus I am getting sick. I have lucked out so far. But I think my turn to be sick is here. So pixie dust and well wishes would be appreciated. Thank you

Becky

Welcome back!

There is a group on the weight loss accountability thread that is planning to train for next year's half marathon, so let us know all about it when you get back.

Good luck, and have a great trip!

I also have already been having cravings. Never had cravings with Alyssa. Now all I want is a turkey sub from Subway. Kevin claims he's not "taking care" of these cravings until March. :guilty:

Amy :)

tell Kevin that kind of attitude will get him in trouble with the queen

At least she's willing to do it. My kids won't touch a stinky diaper for anything. I was so glad when all my kids were potty trained. What a great feeling!

I buy my tilapia frozen and it's really easy to work with.

Preheat oven to 375.

Season fish with salt and pepper. Place in a baking dish and squeeze juice of 2 limes over fish fillets. Sprinkle 2/3 C. chopped onion over fish and bake for 20 minutes or until fish flakes early.

In a saucepan, melt 2 2/3 Tbs. butter. Add 2 Tbs. flour and then gradually add 1 1/3 C. milk. Stir constantly over med-low heat till sauce begins to thicken; salt and pepper to taste. Add 1-2 Tbs. lime juice or to taste. Add 1/3 C. chicken broth and continue simmering till sauce has thickened to your liking. Place fish on plates and ladle sauce over the top; garnish with a wedge of lime and serve.

HMMM sounds good and tasty, something that I would like but my kids are definately not big fish eaters, DH would probably try it.

They took that thread away from you didn't they?? :rotfl:

Yes they did and I was one Pi$$ed skunk...

Hi, all. I will try to read and catch up tomorrow. Had to go to work today for a long meeting. We have our winter carnival in 2 weeks, and I teach tomorrow and this weekend. We're having the kids CHRISTMAS parties tomorrow (yes, you read correctly). School was closed due to the ice storm, so they missed them. Wearing our Christmas finery one more time. Even Santa will be there, just hope the kids don't ask for more gifts!

I'm completely wiped after the past few days. Headed to bed now for some good sleep. Glad we're all here in our happy home. Hugs to you all. You know I love you.

Here's a big dose of PD that your kids get to go to their grandparents. :wizard: I don't think it's selfish at all. That's how we, as parents, re-charge our batteries! Plus, we need to work on our relationships so we still love each other when our kids fly the coup!

I'm from a small town where most everyone got married and had children right out of high school. Their children are all leaving for college, and most all of them have told me one of their best pieces of advice to parents is to try to make time for yourselves.

I'm with you 100%, that is my philosophy.......at least 1 week a year kid free, this year we are going to Vegas and 2 weeks in Alaska and cannot wait.

Go enjoy your kid free weekend and the grandparents will do great, they did a good job raising DH - you married him didn't you :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

i have a couple of fake cousins...but i have more fake uncles...

I have tons of brothers and sisters. I am a sister of Tau Beta Sigma a co-ed music sorority. So I have tons of sisters both female and male. We have a brother organization called Kappa Kappa Psi it is a co-ed music service fraternity. So I have brothers who are male and female.

I am also a brother of Alpha Phi Omega, which is a national co-ed service fraternity based on the principles of Boy Scouting. Originally it was entirely made up of Eagle scouts. So I have brothers from this organization.

Now to top it off and make it even more confusing, some of my sisters of Tau Beta Sigma are also my brothers in Alpha Phi Omega. So I have sister brothers. I also have brother brothers. My little brother through Kappa Kappa Psi was also my pledge brother in Alpha Phi Omega.

Try explaining this to people. For some of my brothers and sisters kids I consider them nieces and nephews and they call me Aunt. I also have grandlittles-they are my littles littles and grandbigs-my big sister or brothers big sister or big brother.

Hey it all makes perfect sense to me and that is all that really matters. :teeth:

My kids thought they weren't fish eaters either, until I started making it more. Now they request it. Especially my DS. He's been a picky eater since birth, but now he wants to have fish (specifically salmon) at least once a week. I've learned to double my fish meals, because Jacob and the twins will always eat more than one fish fillet. My oldest is the hold out, but she'll always clean her plate of one fillet. I like to make it for them, because it makes me feel like they're eating healthy, and fish is so good for them. My parents never forced me to eat fish, so I grew up thinking I hated it. Now I love any fish (except trout).

Nancy asked for a recipe I have for teriyaki salmon. Does anyone else want it? If not, I'll PM it to her. If enough people want it, I'll just post it here. It's TO DIE for!

Denise! It's so good to "see" you! I was beginning to get worried. I should have known it was work. You are one BUSY woman! Don't get too worn down. We need you here, too, ya know. :)

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. From what I understand they are going to try and give Mya an oral medication for this so that her brain doesn't misfire. Once they know the correct dosage for that then they will go back to the Botox injections in her legs to loosen the spacisity. What we hope this will do is give her the confidence to walk on her own. She has taken a few steps, but nothing that will get her very far.

On a positive note, if buying DVC what do y'all think of buying from The Timeshare Store instead of Disney Direct?
