Deb is a late ngiht poster

as are steffy and tinker1bell - I would imagine they came on last night when the boards were down for maintenance - if we don't hear from them tonight - I will send them emails tomorrow

Tammi - I dub you official greeter of the DDA :rotfl:
I don't think there are too many people who think that we are an unwelcoming and cliquey group -

but I will admit that I am not welcoming of negativity and insensitivity

Hi, all. I will try to read and catch up tomorrow. Had to go to work today for a long meeting. We have our winter carnival in 2 weeks, and I teach tomorrow and this weekend. We're having the kids CHRISTMAS parties tomorrow (yes, you read correctly). School was closed due to the ice storm, so they missed them. Wearing our Christmas finery one more time. Even Santa will be there, just hope the kids don't ask for more gifts!

I'm completely wiped after the past few days. Headed to bed now for some good sleep. Glad we're all here in our happy home. Hugs to you all. You know I love you.

Denise

Over here we call it the Queen's english... but that would just be confusing as Kate is the Queen and she speaks American - so I'll just refer to it in future as Clare's English :rotfl:

Oh I'm really excercising those smilies tonight :)

BTW - what is wrong with that d@mn server :badpc: does he not realise we're busy too - trying to post?? :rolleyes1

Hi Clare,

It should just be "Rosiejo's Saying of the Day"

The newest thing though, is I've had a nasty metallic taste in my mouth for three days. Anybody else ever experience that?

Amy :)

Amy, I had that too... I am pretty sure it was the iron in the pre-natal vitamins (and I had a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Sorry you got sick. I had a horrible cold at the end of my 1st trimester and couldn't take anything for it- I thought I was going to die! It took 10 days to run its course.

As for the cravings, I fed every one I had (I guess that is why I gained 62 pounds  ). My DH still laughs about me sitting on the couch eating a Whopper when a Taco Bell commercial came on and I begged him to go get me a Mexican Pizza. He laughed and said "Sure, honey, :love2: finish your Burger King and I will go get you Taco Bell!"

Oh well, if I can lose 70 pounds than so can you guys!!

We say, Good night, sleep tight, see you in the morning light! I started that morning light part back when oldest ds was around 1 and liked to wake up about 4:30 every morning. It just stuck.

Amy my cravings were for fried fish. croppie to be exact. good thing my dad likes to fish. I also craved fruit esp. grapes which actually helped my nausea they have to be cold though. I also ate lots of spagetti and pizza.

I did get post 600. Whoopee for me... lol

Celebrate the small stuff, right?

I just found out my daughter got diagnosed with some new problem. Something called Dystonia, which I get to learn about now. Not quite sure what it's all about.

Oh, I missed you edit. I'm sorry to hear about your DD. It saddens me to see the word painful in the description. I hope that you are able to find successful treatments. :wizard: :grouphug: :wizard:

i saw that tinker1bell is on line so I sent her a PM about our new thread.
Kristen I like the design you posted for tammi to use.

Are you taking iron with the pregnancy? That may be the cause. I had the same thing a few times when I was pregnant. You might mention it to the doctor on your next visit.

macntosh, so sorry to hear about your DD. How old is she? I am newer here. I will certainly send :wizard: and prayers.
Is she in pain now? SHe is so adorable in your pics!

My Grace is 6 and has some special needs. It can all be so scary.

All we want is for our children to be happy and healthy. :grouphug:

My kids thought they weren't fish eaters either, until I started making it more. Now they request it. Especially my DS. He's been a picky eater since birth, but now he wants to have fish (specifically salmon) at least once a week. I've learned to double my fish meals, because Jacob and the twins will always eat more than one fish fillet. My oldest is the hold out, but she'll always clean her plate of one fillet. I like to make it for them, because it makes me feel like they're eating healthy, and fish is so good for them. My parents never forced me to eat fish, so I grew up thinking I hated it. Now I love any fish (except trout).

Nancy asked for a recipe I have for teriyaki salmon. Does anyone else want it? If not, I'll PM it to her. If enough people want it, I'll just post it here. It's TO DIE for!

Post it please, it has taken me all night to catch up on the posts in between cooking dinner and 2 trips to the store.
My DS loves sushi and can't understand that it's FISH!!!

Finally got caught up and now it should be time for bed - to many late nights since finding this thread and trying to keep up with my other ones.

Looked at the school calendar for the remainder of the year and noticed the kids have a 4 day wekend in Feb, deciding on going to WDW for a quick visit.

Have the family coming for dinner tomorrow so I will have to catch up on Saturday

Yea, that was my 400th post!!!

Terra looks quite happy in her minnie mouse costume. how many costumes did she get?

About 20, but not all Disney. Her big Chrsitmas gift was dress up clothes so I hit all of the after Halloween clearance sales to stock up. They were wrapped in two boxes and she insisted on tryong on every outfit before opening the next gift. The cutest ones were the Minnie, Buzz Lightyear and this great pirate costume I got from Spirit Halloween store. It took 1 1/2 hours for the 3 if us to open just the gifts from each other with all of the costume changes.
