Ouch Bengalbell!

Hope Christopher recovers quickly. We hung our stockings with the stocking holders too. My DGS ran over to grab his Elmo stocking and the holder fell smack unto his big toe. Split it right down the middle.

So much for the stockings on the mantle.... :worried: So we put his on the bookcase shelf so he could pull it off at will.... :rose: :rose:

Denise,

That is such good news about DVC!!!! I know you will love it!!!! :flower2: :rose: :flower2: :rose:

We keep our kids stockings hanging from their doorknobs. They have easy access and it decorates that hall.

What do you do with the pillowcases? Do you use them to get autographs or just to put on the kids pillows in the room at Disney? I've been thinking about doing this but wasn't sure what others do.

We gave them to the boys at Disney and they used them there and have them on their beds at home. I was careful to make cases (with the help of our talented designers) to match the decor of their bedrooms at home. Huge hit. I hope that they have Disney Dreams everynight.

i also always print blank ones - there always seems to be a rare character we forgot to put in around or the time the mickey one got wet and we had to have him sign a blank page

This is one thing that I was unprepared for (I'll know though for next time) and I ended up with autographs on blank white paper. So now I have to scan the autograph into the computer and print it out on the cardstock.

tammi - i found the powerrangers here

the tricky part was finding out which generation they were in - then i clicked on their names

the picture looked like this when I copied and pasted it so then I had to crop it

Thanks Kate. I am able to go in with my adobe program and erase out the rectangle behind each one.

Don't worry Tammi on our first trip that I used them- I ran to Walgreens and bought a pack of cardstock and scissors so that I could cut them into 6x6 squares for the characters to sign

Well my friends, let this be a lesson to you. Don't leave your Christmas stockings hanging on the mantel until well into January if you have a curious 5 year old. Christopher stared at his so long he thought Santa came back and left something in it. When he pulled on the stocking the cast iron stocking holder fell off and hit him in the head twice. He has a cut in his scalp and his forehead split and has a little knot. Fortunately the cut on his forehead was very small. Had it been any larger it may have required stitches. It's also fortunate that he's very hard headed ;) . You think I would have learned my lesson after he pulled the last hanger off and broke it.

Ouch :duck: :headache: hope he's ok :wizard:

I just got my people magazine and all I have to say is this:

Brad Pitt is full of crap if he wants me to believe the Angelina Jolie had nothing to do with the breakup of his marriage -

Clearly if he got her pregnant less than 9 months from splitting with Jen - she was a factor - you don't end a marriage to someone and say you still love them and respect them and move on THAT quick if there was nothing going on

Methinks I got it now! Kind of like "voila" in French... or "ta da"
And you got the y'all just right too, Clare!! ::yes::

Yes - "ta da" I love it! That's EXACTLY what it means ::yes::

I used Kate's suggestion and just took the pages and a clipboard, sealed in a zippy bag. When an autograph was gotten, we would then leave that page behind. Yesterday I spent the day scrapping pictures to go along with the autograph page and put them into a book. It really looks nice.

That sounds like a good idea about the single pages. Take some photos of your book and show us? I'd love to see ::yes::

I never did get what everyone saw in him. Now I even like him less. I give this one less than 3 yrs., and I'm being generous.

The contract at SSR is for 50 yrs. after that it reverts back to Disney ownership. You get an additional 200 pts every year, for us every August. You can save up to 3 years worth of points, or you can borrow into the next years points. For instance, if you have 200 pts and you need 250 for the resort you want, you can borrow 50 pts from next year. However when the time comes, you would then only get 150 pts that year.

I was thinking that DVC was pointless for us as we can't possible afford to go every year - and I don't think I'd want to either - but every three years is probably about right - and I can save the points up for that long too!!! Now it sounds like a better proposition... That's the equivalent of two weeks in a two bed beach club villa every three years...

What's the minimum amount of points you can buy?

{Not sure why I'm asking all this as we don't have $16k - and we have a ton of loans to pay off from rebuilding our house last year - but hey I might win the lottery on Saturday right??} :rotfl:

Guess what. DH just called. The cable guy has come and gone.

We now have high speed internet!!! I can't wait to go home and play with it! I hope it is a lot faster.

Minimum is 150 pts.

Party in WDW if you win, okay?

Right now, the minimum you can buy from DVC is $150 points. With the friends and family package it is $83.30/point.

That's only like $7,050 British Pounds. Sorry Clare, I don't have that symbol on my keyboard. That sounds like so much less.

My DS.....8 at the time.....was going to miss a week of school for his older step-brothers wedding. The wedding was on a cruise ship and 15 of us were going on the honeymoon with them for a 5 day cruise. I was concerned about him missing school (September) and actually discussed it with the teacher. She said it wasn't a problem that part of learning was going to new places. She suggested for him to do a mini-scrapbook about his trip and report it to the class. Well I have tons of Creative Memories stuff that worked great for us.

Also........our Disney trip 2007 is the first week of school after Christmas break. Now DS9...3rd grade and DS12...7th grade will miss 3 days of school. I am hoping since it is right after Christmas break there will be no test they will miss out on.

That does sound like so much less! Maybe I can use that figure when quoting everything to DH. ;)

So who is going to see Hoodwinked this weekend?

You seriously don't have £ sign on your keyboard?? That's so odd as I have a $... What is going on in the world - we're all set up to be Amercian but you guys just can't be british :rotfl:

£7,050 doesn't sound a lot does it... 150 points - using it every three years - that's 17 trips in 50 years - which works out at £411 a stay... so that's a one bed beach club villa for two weeks for a little more than we're about to pay for 11 nights in a hotel room on Lake Buena Vista...

Now when you put it that way...

Of course I am forgetting the monthly fees but even then...

I'm gonna start saving!
