I think there will be plenty of DISers there to get a picture!!

You might want to be careful before the wedding and cruise - because a picture of you falling into the lagoon would be PRICELESS!! :teeth:

I think there are A LOT of us who would be willing to pay good money for that picture!!!!!!!!!

ETA: That would be great for the Dr. Phil footage!!

Lindsay – I loved your Hawaii pictures!! Did you go on the Napali Coast tour? I love Hawaii – Steve and I wanted to go on a Hawaiian Cruise for our 10th anniversary but since we are doing a Disney cruise the same year – I think that we will wait a couple of years – when the kids are a little older!!! So are you not using points for your September trip so you can have the free dining?

We did the NaPali tour last year - we did a ton of "touristy" stuff the first year we went (2004) because we didn't think we'd be back, and then my parents thrilled us all by buying the time share! So, last year we did the NaPali catamaran tour, and this year just my dad and I did a helicopter tour. (DH is a scuba diver, and he spends all his time and all of our disposable income diving while he's there!) WOW - that was incredible! You get to see the whole island, so much of which you just can't get to via the roads.

I've heard great things about the Hawaii cruise - we have seen the cruise ship a couple of times out at sea!

Yes, like an idiot, I had already banked the remainder of my 2005 points into 2006 because I didn't think there was any way we'd be back before then (our UY is Oct.). But, this way we will have those points to stay on in December, and we get the free dining and to check out the BC. I've wanted to stay there, but wanted to make sure it was a time of year that we'd use the SAB - and needless to say, it is usually plenty hot in August! :goodvibes We will become "points poor" for the next few years, as we are banking/using/borrowing to take our entire families in late 2007!

Thanks I think I'll swing by our Disney store tomorrow. :thumbsup2
The BAB Mickey and Minnie's are only at DL and orlando BABW. But, I am picking up the skins for anyone who wants and shipping them and they can stuff them at their own BAB. Or some are having me stuff them that don't have a local BAB. Either way if you want me to pick you up a pair you can PM me I will be leaving Sat. for DL.
The offer stands for anyone who wants a set or a specific one. :goodvibes

I will PM you - I would love to do this! I'm sure this has been answered, but how much are the skins?

Hi, gang!

Long time, no talk - I have missed everyone, but my life is still pretty crazy right now. I do have some good news though - I'm about half way through my summer from heck, I finally got up my pics from our travels with Andy on the PM thread...and take a look at my tickers below! :cheer2: DH didn't bat an eye when I told him late last Sunday that I wanted to book us a quick trip w/ free dining for my b-day, and then just smiled when I said "oh, and btw, I've got a villa booked for us in Dec.!" He has yet to outright admit it, but he misses WDW as much as I do!!!

How is everyone? I've actually had the chance to take a bit of a breather this weekend, although I do have to work tomorrow. DH is in Marianna, FL for a family reunion that wasn't until late today, so thus, I couldn't go. ( :p ) I spent some time doing stuff around the house, dreaming of my Disney trips, hanging out with friends, and then I also went and saw Cars this afternoon. I can't quite decide what I thought of it - the animation was downright amazing, but I just didn't find it nearly as clever and endearing as the majority of the other Pixar fimls.

I'll try to go back a few pages, but there is no way I can go all the way back to catch up - I don't even remember where I left off! Know that I've been thinking of all of you, and hope to be around a bit more often!

Lindsay -- great to "see" you! I'm glad to hear you are half way through your busiest time and planning trips. It sounds like you are having a decent weekend for once. I hope the rest of summer is easier, leading up to your trip.

Lindsay -

I am points poor now too!! Luckily I am still managing to fit some trips in!!

The plan is that once we have this contract paid off - we will buy more points - unfortunately that is five more years!

You can never have enough DVC points!!!!!!!

Poor Nick! Fireworks used to do that to all my kids as well. Thankfully they all grew into them and are now pyromaniacs! I really have to watch them carefully, or they will try to light all our fireworks by themselves.

I'm kind of excited for the 4th! This is the first year in about 8 years that Alan doesn't have to work (the station had him covering fires on his vacation last week, so they're making it up to him), so we are going to take the kids to the Grand Parade in Provo. It's a really big parade and the kids are so excited! They all have new 4th of July clothes, and, of course, Crocs!!! They will be stylin' and comfortable as well.

After the parade, we are driving to some friends house for an afternoon barbeque and Dutch oven meal! I've been asked to make dessert, so I'm going to make a Banana crumble. Yummy! I can make it sugar free so I can have a taste! Exciting.

After our afternoon, we'll drive home for some "driveway fire" time and then to our "secret spot" to watch the town fireworks. It should be a really fun day!
Sounds like fun.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With all the rumblings of a possible DVC expansion on the Epcot monorail, I am already thinking hmmm - how can I get some points there?!?!

Of course, after we take all 14 members of our immediate families, we might decide that from this point forward, we are hoarding all of our points to ourselves!!!!! :faint:

Sorry to bug out so early, ladies. 5:30 comes awfully early in the morning. That's the only time I can do my walking. So, I'm off to bed. Catch up with you in the morning!

I'm all caught up!!!

On ODTT....

and on this thread...

It only took 2 days. :cool1:

:wizard: :grouphug: For those friends and family members in the hospital and dealing with health issues in general.

:wizard: :grouphug: For those dealing with Depression or other forms of mental illness. I worked in a psychiatric department for 8 years and heard heart breaking stories on a daily basis. Mental illness in one form or another touches every family, and many don't even realize it. When dealing with these issues there is no blame to be given as it is a health issue and is very often hereditary. The symptoms are often disguised as other health issues and can often be difficult for psychiatrists to sort out. We all do the best that we can to look out for one another and certainly don't hold each other accountable for our own happiness as it is our own responsibility to live each day to the fullest. If anyone recognizes that they are not as happy as they once were or as they think they should be then it is there own responsibility to seek a means to find what is missing, be it medicine, therapy or in some cases just a change in diet or lifestyle. (Boy does that sound preachy, but we only have one life to live and should let past events hinder our present or our future).

Now that I got that off my chest I'm going to upload some pictures of Colby's room.

Deb

I've got to sign off, too. I got on the computer 4 hours ago to do some work, and funny how I still haven't done it. This is why I've had to stay away from the DDA this summer! :rotfl: I have to work tomorrow - I actually have new interns starting - yuck. :sad2:

Goodnight, DDA! Thanks for the kind "welcome backs!" I've missed you all!

Hi, all. John and I are home and the house is so QUIET without the kids. This is the FIRST TIME we've ever been home without them. We are eating out every night this week, going to go to a party on Tuesday for the 4th, going to an outlet mall tomorrow, eating brunch at a nice place one day, getting lots of DVDs to watch (I've not seen the original POC yet) and then going to the movies and a dessert place one night. I know it'll be fun, but John and I both are going to miss them terribly!

Well, y'all were very chatty since yesterday. Miss anything important?

All those plans & no turtle time?
What's up with that?

I can see it now both Mickey and Minnie will have water proof bubbles for their wedding for that just in case. (Actually I guess they would have to be cubes as bubbles would roll) :rotfl2: That or PFD's so they will float.

So here a photos of the "Cars" room that I have been working on.

This is the race car bed with toddler Cars bedding set. The wall has stick on "Cars" and a crafty picture.

He also has a Mater blow up chair that already has a leak (I think I blew it up too much on the air compressor) and a Lightning McQueen Lounge chair. I have all the little McDonald cars on his racetrack rug. I think it is pretty cute. I still need to make him a new blanket, but otherwise I think I'm done. I do need to make a couple more trips to McDonalds as we don't have Luigi or Doc Hudson yet. Maybe we missed them, I'm not sure?
