I enjoy the crocheting. I only know a couple of stitches for edging so I've dubbed one "the railroad" for boys, and the other "the sea shell" for girls. I don't think I'll ever be good enough to do an entire afghan, but we'll see.

The hardest part is finding the right material for the right person. Once you do, though, things fall into place.

If I can knit 2 afghans you can...I just use a double stitch...now that I have a working camera I'll take pictures of the girls that I made them for Christmas.
p.s. I learned to crochet last July so really truly if I can do it, you can too!!

Deb- The cars room looks great.

I am off to get a shower because the bug spray smell is making me feel sick. I sprayed it on myself when I went outside to take pictures so I wouldn't get bit. Unfortunately it did not work and now I am itchy and it is giving me a headache.

What if I grabbed Pal Mickey as I was falling into the lagoon....and Vicki dove into to save.......................Pal Mickey...now that, would be priceless!!!
:lmao: Too funny.

Since it is now tomorrow which is really today....I guess I'd better get to bed. Colby will be up at sunrise which is way too early. Maybe I should have painted his windows black and made really heavy curtains that way he would always think it was night :teeth:, but since I didn't I'd better get a little shut eye.

Thanks my head still feels :badpc: . At least it's naptime so the house is quiet. :cloud9: I am enoying the peace as my little boys have had a terrible week-end I think they could give stitch a run for the money on badness and noisiness the past 2 days. I know it will pass but days like this make me long for a nice peaceful little princess: . Don't get me wrong I love my little pirate: I just wouldn't mind adding a princess: for some balance.

Ummmmm....my princess: 's could give almost any boy a run for their money on noisiness!!! Cassidy talks almost nonstop...even in her sleep!!

Thanks for your help. POR The only Mod. for our size family. :) Otherwise we would have had to upgraded to a deluxe and I wanted to convince DH Disney isn't too bad so first time on-site at a Deluxe wouldn't have helped. ;) The prices would have made DH  and he probably wouldn't want to return. We'll work our way up hopefully. :teeth:

What's your dates?
We will be at PORS 9/30 - 10/7.
Funny we live almost in the same town.
Meeting at WDW.

Wow, cool!

Time? What is that? To tell the truth, on the days that I can, nothing else gets done. I have to make sure that I have the counters cleaned off, laundry done, and the kids have to make arrangements to play with friends. I'm pretty single minded when it comes to canning. I have even been known to can in the middle of the night when everyone else is asleep, so I won't be bothered. I actually enjoy the canning. It's really satisfying!

Glynis,
I remember canning and it was so rewarding.

We did the NaPali tour last year - we did a ton of "touristy" stuff the first year we went (2004) because we didn't think we'd be back, and then my parents thrilled us all by buying the time share! So, last year we did the NaPali catamaran tour, and this year just my dad and I did a helicopter tour. (DH is a scuba diver, and he spends all his time and all of our disposable income diving while he's there!) WOW - that was incredible! You get to see the whole island, so much of which you just can't get to via the roads.

I've heard great things about the Hawaii cruise - we have seen the cruise ship a couple of times out at sea!

Yes, like an idiot, I had already banked the remainder of my 2005 points into 2006 because I didn't think there was any way we'd be back before then (our UY is Oct.). But, this way we will have those points to stay on in December, and we get the free dining and to check out the BC. I've wanted to stay there, but wanted to make sure it was a time of year that we'd use the SAB - and needless to say, it is usually plenty hot in August! :goodvibes We will become "points poor" for the next few years, as we are banking/using/borrowing to take our entire families in late 2007!
We don't scuba dive but we loved the snorkeling over there such clear water. :goodvibes I would love to go back. When is your big trip in 2007? We are going in Dec. 2007 for our tenth anniversary and my parents and sister and her family might come down as well.

I will PM you - I would love to do this! I'm sure this has been answered, but how much are the skins?
$50 for the pair.

Okay - I said I was leaving, but came back to post one thing...

I have become a huge Disney podcast junkie - it makes my commute to/from work so much more enjoyable. Anyways, one of my favorites is MouseTunes, which is done by Lou Mongello (of the WDW Trivia Books fame) and Nathan Rose (owns ********************). They've been talking about/recommending a DVD set on there that I finally checked out last night - they have been saying it was reduced to $99, but it's actually reduced to $49 (originally $249). 18 DVD's of all of WDW, with a bonus DVD of some of the 50th Celebration DL stuff. (For all you DL gals, it looks like they have a DL version, too.) Standard shipping is $18.99. I thought this might be something this group would be interested in - here's the link: http://relivethemagic.com/pd_all_of.cfm?RID=117&TID=35

BAB Winnie the Pooh arrives Friday, July 7 $20.00

So here a photos of the "Cars" room that I have been working on.

This is the race car bed with toddler Cars bedding set. The wall has stick on "Cars" and a crafty picture.

He also has a Mater blow up chair that already has a leak (I think I blew it up too much on the air compressor) and a Lightning McQueen Lounge chair. I have all the little McDonald cars on his racetrack rug. I think it is pretty cute. I still need to make him a new blanket, but otherwise I think I'm done. I do need to make a couple more trips to McDonalds as we don't have Luigi or Doc Hudson yet. Maybe we missed them, I'm not sure?

Deb
Looks nice. We had the Star Wars blow up chairs (DH is a sci-fi nut). They didn't last long either.

DH and I are going first just ourselves - we're doing a DCL 4-night cruise, and then going to stay at the GF a few nights as a belated 30th b-day celebration for me. Then, the entire family is joining us at SSR for 5 nights, starting on 12/2. It will be my parents, my brother and his girlfriend (if they're still together), my in-laws, and DH's two brothers, their wives, and the 5 children they have amongst them (all will be under the age of 6).

I'm trying to decide if I'm off my rocker, but it's too late to turn back now! :goodvibes

I guess I always had this image of a quiet little girl who sat and played with Barbies and never yelled or ran around and broke their bones. Than again I( could just be imagining things as I don't have a girl. :rolleyes1

You all posted some awesome pic's tonight!! I want a Cars bedroom :teeth:
Glynis, what beautiful pics of the festival!!!
