Anyone here near Denver? My good friend (her DD is our babysitter that is in college) just called and her 21 yr old DS, Doug, is in the ICU in Swedish Hospital in Denver. He had an embolic stroke last night! Doug and Lindsay (our babysitter) are camp counselors at a large Christian camp in Colorado for the summer. Their dad is at the Atlanta airport right now trying to get a flight out. Please pray for them. I'm really concerned and worried.

When is Mousefest?

When I told Joe about Lizzie's trip I sort of told him I would take him for a trip .... I know I already did last Aug but that was because I took Lizzie to Nantucket and to Disney 2 nights earlier than everyone else in Oct....SO...Joe's expecting another solo trip and I know he LOVES MNSSHP but my work schedule has shifted a bit this year and I don't see how I can take any time off in Oct. I was sort of thinking of taking him to MVMCP instead (if I can get cheap airfare...). I think I would want to avoid Mousefest wouldn't I??? I don't why hurricanes don't really bother me but the possibility of a snow storm here really FREAKS me out. And things get crazy around Dec getting ready for the holidays. I suppose I could think about taking him for his bday Jan 10th (he did go for his 3rd...) OR...I could hope he forgets that I said he'd have a special trip-I never said when....what year-I could take him early next May-I really LOVED that time of year.

But I have been reading bits of pieces of some sort of wedding.....

Just had to show off my new signature picture. I love it! I'm trying to get the rest uploaded, but there's around 400! Kids go to John's parents tomorrow for a WEEK! OMG. What will I do with free time. It's going to be very lonely around here. Gotta go get them packed.

I sure wish they would show a bigger picture. Those look cool from what I can see. I'd be willing to go for those. Can everyone that would want to wear matching be able to afford those? I can no problem. I might order them anyway. I'll definitely have to check out the exclusive pins when we get to Disney. Kristine, thanks again so much for inviting us to do this with you and doing all the work to make it happen.

September works best for me. I would like to share a room with as many as want to share. I'd like to stay close to DL. On or off site doesn't matter I believe at DL because there are places that are within walking distance offsite as well as on?? 4 days & 3 nights sound good to me. I want to see DL and experience the attractions that are different than WDW for sure. Meals with the DDA so it doesn't matter where to me.

I second all of this!!! September is great for me. I've never stayed onsite, so that would be fun, but there are tons of hotels within 5 minutes of the main gate that are just fine to stay at as well. I'll go for as long as everyone wants to go. I'm just so excited that this is going to happen!

I'm happy to share a room with anyone. It's all good!

I think the more the merrier! As long as they love Disney, I vote bring 'em!

ETA: That being said, I'm not going to bring my family! My kids are all too little to enjoy "big people" time (with the exception of Katie), so this will be Mom's vacation. Alan wants me to go alone and have a ball! With his blessing, that makes it just perfect!

I'm leaving it up to my DDA friend to come up with something but velcro was mentioned. Whatever it is, it will be filled with love!

Small feet? Are we thinking of the same Minnie Mouse? She & Mickey have huge feet! I'm not sure what I'm going to do about a garter because her feet are so huge, that to get it on over that, it will be too big around her leg. Luckily, I have a good DDA buddy that has offered to figure something out for her so that she has a garter & something blue.

Hey, I think a Dec. special trip for him is just what he needs. Sometime around Dec. 1-5. I mean he really deserves it! He's such a great kid!

For those of you near DL and in love with POTC. They have refurbished a Presidential Suite in the Disneyland Hotel to be a POTC suite, maybe we rent that next September? (can you imagine the price!!!! YIKES)

I really truly need to get off now and do my work or it's never going to be done at 5 and I'm never going on vacation!!!

I'm not sure if I will be coming alone or bringing Chuck. I think Chuck would have a problem with me leaving him home and getting to experience Disneyland without him. Then again, he might prefer me to go alone and learn what I can so that I can plan a couple trip the next year. We'll have to wait & see. However, I love kids so if people want to bring theirs along, I'd love to have them.

Wed is looking good for MK. We are going to do the Fantasy EMH then head over to GF for a "brunch" at 1900 Park Fare. We'll have to leave MK around 10:30 ish.

Maybe you, Beth, & I can meet up at MK on 8/23??? I am thinking of leaving ealry due to the MB EMH too..probably stay til lunch & then head over to EPCOT. It's going to be nice to meet some DDA's.

I have penciled the Fantasy EMH in for Wednesday. I wasn't originally planning to do the EMH, but that looks like a good time to meet. Then we can head to a few things when the park first opens the other lands or hop to another park. Let me know if you want to meet then.
