Morning DDA!

Our plans for the fourth...well at least the long weekend!
Saturday - visit Grandpa in Columbus; see cousin again
Sunday - Heading up to Geneva on the Lake to visit Mom, go blueberry picking
Monday - Going to Blossom, our local outdoor stage for their 4th of July celebrations...they always perform Sousa (spelling??) with fireworks and cannons at the approprate times.
Tuesday - Relax!

No rain yesterday, and it actually dried out enough for John to mow the yards. We did wind up pumping out the crawl space under the house again though.
They are still calling for rain all week but we did not get the thunder storm they were calling for last night, so I hope all the storms are over now.

Steffy, Terry, Heidi, and others in flooded areas. Did you get more rain today? I sure hope not and I hope you are all doing alright and not too much damage. and

I wasn't on much yesterday, so no you didn't miss an update.

Mom did come home yesterday and she sounded much better, than when I had talked to her just the day befor.
Of course with the flooding, it was a little difficult getting home.

Heidi, did I miss an update? How is your mom? Did she come home?

Jen, good news on the Niece going home, and that the daughter might be going home soon too. for the firefighter and that he stabilizes soon.

Kristine, for your DH, please make sure he keeps tabs on his Diabetes. I have a cousin who is a bad diabetic and he doesn't take care of himself and now has pretty bad health all around.

Vicki, Hun you have some mighty big plans for Mikey and Minnie. that they all work out and your not disappointed.

That would probably be best for you. The DDE. Last year when Terry and I went, I had the DDE for our drinks and other OOP food and we had the dining plan (it was free) for our meals.

Terry is not a big eater either, but having the plan and not looking at prices was really a plus for us.

I'm getting the DDP (paying for it) so my sister won't have to watch what she orders and we can try out the appt, entre and desserts without worrying about cost. She would NEVER order a dessert if it wasn't included. I want her to experience one of my favorite things to do while in Disney... Dining!!!

Chuck and I don't have that problem. We order what we want. I am really torn about the DDP. I like the idea of not worrying about the money while we are there. I also think we would try more TS places if we had it but in 5 days, I just don't know if we can use them all. I'll keep looking at it.

there is a program - and I can't recall what it is right now that cuts down the colors and does some other stuff to decrease file size - you might want to try that -

I'm really slow on this thread. I'll read a couple of posts, go do something, wash dishes, pay some bills, watch a show, play with the grandkids, talk on the phone.... I'm so sorry I kept you up so late last night....

I just wanted to share my "thank you" cards with you! We'll be leaving them with tips!
They definately arn't professional, but still fun and took me forever to find the right program to use so they printed onto business cards!

(There are no shadows/lines when printed...no idea why it did that! But you can see it's just a clipart with words! Nothing spectacular, but definately fun!)

There is flooding around here as well. We live on high ground, so we are ok (except the small stream running through the basement). The rain has basically stopped now. We did get more rain last night, and they are predicting some rain through the weekend, but it won't be the constant rain that we had. IBM sent workers home yesterday, and is closed again today, so dh is working from home. The river crested last night at 33.15 feet which topped the record of 30.5 feet. I think that flood stage is somewhere around 18 feet.

We took a walk last night down toward the river. I took these photos of Route 17 under water. Most of the other photos don't look like much if you don't have a reference point to know what the river usually looks like. Our high school stadium is completely flooded with water up to the bottom of the scoreboard. What a mess!

I won't be disappointed. Half of the planning is to tease a couple of people that think I need an intervention. If it all doesn't go as planned, it probably would just mean more laughing which is the purpose of the whole thing! Though, what are you thinking could go wrong? Do you know something I don't? Is Tommy, Andy or Brooksie going to crash the wedding and object to Nicky marrying Minnie? Or do you think Disney is going to put a stop to it? You know, they don't want it publicly known that the two little mice are married so they might object.

If you don't mind sharing, you should post blank ones (without your name and town) on the thread for the mousekeeping envelopes. I like the business card idea. Other people might like that too.

Tonight Julie, Jennifer and I took Amy to the Cheesecake Factory for her DDA baby shower

Amy looks great and was overwhelmed by our gifts -I took pictures of her opening them

she is going to be induced next Friday (the 7th) and she is hoping to have the house all settled by then -

We had a great time at dinner

Amy doesn't have internet access so she wanted me to make sure that I told you all HUGE thank yous and that she loved everything!!!!!!!

That was something my friends did for Katrina when Becky was born. We didn't have any of the jealousy issues that I've heard so many other people had to deal with from their older children.
