Steffy, Terry, Heidi, and others in flooded areas. Did you get more rain today? I sure hope not and I hope you are all doing alright and not too much damage. :wizard: :wizard: and :sunny: :sunny:

No rain today and my DD says they will just get some water but maybe only a few feet in the basement.
Our basement just smells wet because of the wet ground.

So the Server has decided it wants to be busy. It sure better be cleaning up the flood waters around here.

The sun was out today, but some of the major roadways are still going to be closed for a few days as they are completly underwater. In The City of Reading no one was allowed in or out for several hours. In areas you can't flush your toilet as they don't want you to contribute to the overflooded sewage beds. It might rain here again tomorrow.

Here are some pictures of the area around where I live. Photos are courtesy of my brother. I am considering getting up early tomorrow driving my car and then walking so I can see how over full Blue Marsh Lake and Dam is. It is three feet higher than the maximum height they created it for. It is a Man made Dam and Lake which they made to prevent flooding up and down the area but it is extremely flooded itself. If it wouldn't be there I couldn't imagine how bad it would be.

Oh My!!!!

I'm off to bed too. I was up too late last night waiting for Stephanie to see the news about Tommy so I wasn't able to read. Talk to you all tomorrow!

I'm sorry Vicki!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I had already seen the news and posted on his travel thread..... :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

I'm really slow on this thread. I'll read a couple of posts, go do something, wash dishes, pay some bills, watch a show, play with the grandkids, talk on the phone.... I'm so sorry I kept you up so late last night....

As you all can tell my going to bed didn't last....couldn't fall asleep. Though I am exhausted!!

Amazing pic's!!

You all getting rain.
Stay dry & safe.

All with illness, aches & pain take care.

Has anyone heard from Amy?

I'm okay. Took a little water in the basement. One of my sisters live in Wilkes Barre. She's pretty high up on the mountain, so she's okay, but the town was evacuated today, echoes of Agnes... :sad2: :sad2:

But no rain today, so I am happy to have seen the :sunny: today!!

Are you okay???

beth-

there is a program - and I can't recall what it is right now that cuts down the colors and does some other stuff to decrease file size - you might want to try that -

I will try to find out what it is called

Just a fly by post.

Update on my transfer.
I didn't get the it.
Reason being all our Lexford division sold yesterday.
I didn't want to also transfer companies.
So back to looking at job postings in my field.

Not happy we won't be moving.
I'm happy to be staying with my company.
I will just have to keep looking.

I can't say thank you all enough for your good wishes.
I am sorry Jo!

I hope you get things figured out soon!

I'm fine here, I am on the top of a hill. It is just everywhere around me that is the problem. Just about every direction I go the roads are flooded. I am glad I drove to Allentown last week and not today. I know people are going to be drying out for a long time after this.

Tonight Julie, Jennifer and I took Amy to the Cheesecake Factory for her DDA baby shower

I need opinons on where we should eat this trip.
Thinking of LTT before MVMCP
Candlelight processional coral reef or le cellier
Hollywood and vine (JOJO) breakfast or lunck
Princess Breakfast at norway or lunch
Chef Micky or Ohana Breakfast
1900 park fare dinner
Crystal Palace Breakfast, lunch or Dinner
we have dinning plan so we will have 7 sit down meals. I also have a gift card for rainforest cafe should we do breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Hi

Thanks to everyone who PM'd me to see if I am still alive. I have the sinus infection from you-know-where going on 2 1/2 weeks!!!!! Today is day 8 of anibiotics but I am still all stuffed up :sad2: Last week I didn't have a voice at all and spent all my time in bed with my tissue and cough medicine. Kyle did his best to take care of me, bringing me his stuffed animals and blanket from his bed and his sippy cup of water and kept asking "Are you feeling better yet?"

Anyway, hope all is well with the DDA! For those who asked, our trip is still Nov 26 to 12-3 at POR (requested Oak Manor). I will probably miss Pal Mickey's nupituals as that is my niece's 2nd bday and we are having dinner at 1900 PF and spending our last night at MK with the family. We are doing MVMCP on Thursday 11/30. DH and I are doing the 6:45 Candlelight Processional on 11/28 for my birthday and 8:10 dinner at Le Cellier.

Take Care!
Kristin

Nice to read you again, feel better soon.

The girls are having a good time in Japan. They have 1-1/2 days left before getting on the plane to come home. They have now been to a temple/shrine as well as the sushi place & a curry place. They said they were chanting while they were there. They also got to go to some shops around the shrine which were more of the Japanese culture. They said that they liked Disneyland but it was very Americanized as are most of the shops in Tokyo. They said it is kind of strange because they don't understand most of what is being said around them. They said that they stand out because of their blond hair and have gotten some attention because of it. They are hoping to get on the train but one of Bill's stepkids hurt herself yesterday when they were supposed to go. I hope that they can do it today or tomorrow. Katrina says that the Japanese are very friendly and polite.

Chuck asked them if they saw any cute Japanese boys and they said no. However, Becky said that they saw quite a few men in uniforms (they are staying on the base where my brother is stationed - he is a civilian that works for the Air Force). Chuck didn't like hearing that!! I've told him before, if he doesn't want to know the answer, not to ask! :rotfl:

Oh daddy, it's ok.
