I know myself well enough. I'm not calling anyone right now. They are old enough to handle it. I'll know in 1-1/2 hours whether mom got a flight or not and what the airline did for her. If the kids and mom are ok with it and the airline compensated my mother, I'll make an official complaint to the airline with all the details of the process and leave it at that. However, if they didn't I will wait for tomorrow and do as you suggested.

ETA: I probably won't say anything to the girls or mom about not following through on getting the seats before leaving, because they are old enough to live with their actions (or lack thereof).

Keep us up to date on how things go. I know it is not easy when people don't listen and have to learn on their own. It drives me nutty when my SIl and BIL ask us what we think about such and such (military stuf) and then they don't do any of what we talked about. Then later they wonder why things are going they way they are. DUH!!!! DH has been in FOEVER and you should learn from his mistakes and knowledge. HELLO!
Oh well they must learn themselves sometimes.

Thursday started very sunny and I was eager to get to work. NOT.
I was going to start my stint at the front desk. This would mean that I would answer the phone, take any payments, answer the phone, try to do some of my work, (remember, I can almost type with my toes) answer the phone, and sell discount Park tickets. Since MTM heard I was going to be ticketron, he wanted to be casual.

8/23 EMH sounds good for a meet to me. Or you could all book the Family Magic Tour on 8/24 with us! Seriously, I'm sure we'll find some time to meet up even if just briefly. By that point in our trip, we'll be fairly flexible.

Well my Mom & girls are winging their way home! They got on their flight at 4am CST. They are supposed to arrive in Chicago at 4pm CST. They'll be back in the UP at 7:30 CST.

They got to ride the subway yesterday before they left. Also, got to spend time in downtown Tokyo. They both thought it was really cool.

I'll bet you both will be happy to have them back home.

Just dropping in to say Hi, I have been reading a bit just not posting much here.
I have survived 4 days of MIL and another 89 to go
DH and I are already not talking!!! She puts a lot of stress on both of us when she is here!!!

Tarryn turned 12 yesterday, she had a fun day and spent the afternoon shopping with my SIL who took both her neices who both turned 12 this month(my sisters daughter) and spoilt them at the mall!!

Tomorrow we are going to Myrtle beach, I am taking my laptop but not sure if I will have access or not!

happy 4th to everyone and enjoy time with your family

and to anyone needing it!!!

Holy Cow I could not spend that much time with my MIL. for the rest of the visit.

We live in Illinois, so the drive is to long by myself. I will keep checking, they should come down(I hope!) I want to leave on the 1st & that is the expensive flight, return is sitting at $114 pp.

Maybe as it gets closer, you can get a ding or something.

wow!!! If I had that many days to look forward to with my MIL I would definitely have the men in white coats coming here (either that or a wonderful case for temporary insanity on any charges levelled against me)

Sounds like a twinkies dream.....time at the mall spending money and not with your parents!!!
