Hi everyone--there is no way i can catch up fro mthis weekend--so i just wanted to post that i was home!

Thanks for filling us in on how it went. I know that several people commented that the weather in the area wasn't looking good and they hoped it didn't interfere with the ride. It sounds like a wonderful day and a wonderful event. I'm glad that you got time to spend with her family. We love seeing your pictures so keep them coming!!!!

it was an INCREDIBLE weekend!!! It was very hard and there were many tears shed, but we also had alot of happy moments and we made a lot of good friends. Alyssa's family was so nice and we enjoyed spending the time with them, and we are planning on going back again for a longer visit..
Last night we ended up watching a movie of Alyssa and looking through pictures..We got to see her room, which was pretty emotional, but it was so cool.
Today, we went to the actual Kride event..This was amazing!! there was a 100, 50, 25, and 10 mile ride, so before each one went, they dedicated it to alyssa and alyssa's mom/sister got to cut the ribbon. My brother did a great job and ended up finishing 2nd of the 10mile riders--he is aiming to do 25 miles next year! The weather ended up being good--a bit rainy on and off, but nothing too horrible. We got to hang out with her family and friends and they just accepted us as family...

I wanted to thank you all for supporting me so much lately..its been a rough month (today is one month since Lyss died)..I appreciate it more than you can know!

The pictures are really great Jen. (we are still supposed to cut them in our replies for the folks on dial-up right???)

It was a wonderful thing you did for Alyssa and I'm sure her family appreciated it more than you'll ever know... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

And then to place 2nd... he was riding his little heart out. Congrats on such a succesful weekend... You done good...

Amy, the house looks fantastic. Is the 4th bedroom for Matthew or will Alyssa and Matthew share a room for awhile? I'm just wondering if there'll be a guest room for DDA friends who happen to pop in??!! :rotfl: :lmao: Just kidding! I'd be afraid to stay at your house anyway! I know you'd sneak up to scare me in the night!!!! :rotfl2:

Here's another angle of the kitchen. There's a huge walk-in pantry (on the other side of the refrigerator), but I didn't take a picture of it:

This is the dining room, attached to the kitchen:

Here's the living room and front door:

And finally, here's the family room, and the sliding glass doors leading to the backyard:

Beautiful house Amy.
Here's sending you prayers your old house sells soon.

It is the shopping for myself gene that I missed. I have black dress shoes, navy blue dress shoes, white sandals, tennis shoes, water shoes and two pair of crocs. That is pretty much the extent of my shoes. I might have 5 other pair that I hardly ever wear!!!! I have one purse. When I get tired of it, I buy a new one. I have about 20 pairs of pants (including dress pants, casual slacks, and jeans). I probably have 20 long sleeve & short sleeve dressy shirts and 30 tees (because of Girl Scouts only), 15 sweatshirts, 5 sweaters, 5 dresses, and 5 shorts. That is about the extent of my wardrobe. Oh I can't forget that I do have two dressier suit outfits.

I'm also the kind of girl that takes a shower in the morning, brushes her hair, gets dressed and that is the extent of getting ready. I figure I'm clean what more can someone want. Chuck takes longer in the bathroom than I do.

Maybe that's why I went overboard with my kids, their dolls and Pal Mickey!!! :rotfl:

All right now I know we are twins. :lmao:

That is my wardrobe almost to a tee. 3-5 skirts, about 15 tshirts, 3 pair of shorts, and 7 pairs of shoes....3 that I were most often. I have 3 dresses. This is why I need more clothes but finding them drives me bonkers. :bitelip:

Jim takes more time in the bathroom then all three of us girls!!

And, I did make Rees' PM 3 shirts tonight. The Anniversary one is so cool. It plays more games and sings. And the hand supposedly lights up when you see that emblem in the parks. How fun! Here's the shirts.

I will call Marti, Kate, or Amy tomorrow to have them post for me. I should hopefully be home Tuesday. My mom arrived around 10pm tonight (got delayed due to bad weather at the airport).

Thanks again for all the prayers. Love you all.

Look at how happy Mickey looks with all his new shirts. They are adorable. I can't wait to see Rees' face.

We'll be waiting anxiously to hear the news. We love you all and the prayers and pixiedust: will be flying to you from all over the U.S. and U.K tomorrow!!!!!!!

I know. He even gave the thumbs up in the picture! Thanks again for sending it. Rees' is going to be thrilled. He saw me making the shirts tonight, but he thinks they're for the other PM. Thanks for letting me have some shirts. They are really cute. My mom loved it.

Well, that has time to change. Chuck used to take more time in the bathroom than my girls too. They started out like me. However, all those years of me buying them new clothes, making sure they knew how to wear makeup (my mom didn't believe in it so I never really learned how which contributed to me not doing it now), doing their hair for them, etc. rubbed off on them good. They are both major primpers now. Becky doesn't do any more with her hair than I do (wash, brush & air dry) but she does the makeup thing, the body lotion thing, and the perfume thing.

Katrina has a shoe & a purse collection. She must have 30+ purses and 40+ shoes. She has at least 15 pairs of jeans (now mind you some of them are 5 years old but she still wears them regularly). Every time I see her she has new clothes. Luckily, I did pass on the Goodwill/St. Vinnie gene to her so she buys brand names at very cheap prices. Becky is starting her collections. This was the kid that I used to have to fight to take a shower and put on clean clothes!!!!!!

Ok, I'm headed to bed. We have to be at the hospital which is over an hour away by 7:30 am. I will take a picture of Rees with PM in the am, but I won't get to post it until Tues or Wed. Thanks again, everyone, for being so wonderful.

Oh, and John and I were just playing with his Blackberry. I tried the DIScreet Mobile skin, and it worked for me on the Blackberry. I will try to post as soon as I can. Night all!

Hang in there tomorrow. :grouphug:

I'll take the blame. I'll be posting on the pals thread on where to get the tees by the end of the week. I think I finally found the best spot to buy the tees. I was really happy with the quality of the tees that I bought but my second order is still on backorder after about a month. I think I found exactly the same tees at another place and they are cheaper. I should be getting the order on Tuesday. If they are the same, I'll be posting the info on where to get them so that others can dress their pals! :rotfl:

The best thing is that I tried the tees on my build a bear and they fit a little snugly but look quite nice. My build a bear was unhappy with all the attention that my Pal was getting so he requested his own. Some of the stuff I bought will fit my bear as well so they can share. Some of it only fits Pal but then there is stuff that only fits my bear so they are even! After my eBay purchases all arrive, they will both be outfit quite well for awhile. I also have a large female bear coming to live with us as well as a small male bear (I already have a large male & a small female). I'm setting up their "World" in my office (so Barbie World is safe). :rotfl2:

Denise sending Rees many prayers.
Hope all goes well with his surgery.
Loved the pictures of the dance recital.
Try to get some rest.
As we all know not always easy to do.

I'm off to bed too. I am off tomorrow but want to get up early to take care of a bunch of stuff around the house and get some packages mailed. I have 3 packages to pick up from the post office that were too big for my mailbox. I wonder what they could be???!!!! :rotfl2: Goodnight to all that are on tonight and good morning to everyone else.

Cassidy has more purses at age 14 then I have had my entire life!!!
They both love clothes and makeup (I have a hard time finding makeup that doesn't make me want to scratch my skin off!!) I love dressing them...so much easier than dressing myself. Even with Cassidy putting makeup she is out of the bathroom in half the time of Jim. He can't leave the bathroom if he has one drop of moisture on him.

Both girls check prices and are very vocal in telling their friends that they don't need name brands(except crocs they can't wait for those!!)

Hey y'all!

Having a touch of insominia so where better to spend it than catching up on the DDA! I only went back a few pages though! I'd be here for DAYS trying to read everything I missed! OY! ;)

Well one week of Summer Break down.Erich is bored already! My DSS Jonathan won't be here until around June 23 so he's still got a few weeks alone. He has stuff to do though. He has a Math Workbook to do over the Summer and he has 2 books to read. One on poetry called 21 Balloons.I haven't gotten a copy of it yet. He's also reading Watership Down, well actually we're reading it together.I had seen the movie years ago but never read the book. We're both enjoying it so far.

I've been fighting an sinus infection.blech.My face and teeth, ears hurt.Every so many years I get a REALLY horrible one that last for WEEKS in the summer. :sad2: I haven't had one like this in about 6 years.I feel sluggish and tired but I do think it's getting a bit better this weekend.

I had some rough days with my Mother but she's been pretty good the past couple.God I pray it last awhile.I get so tired ...mentally and phsically tired...messing with her and her needs all the time.siiiigh.

The evening of the last day of school we had a luau themed party/dance at a park for the kids in Erich's class. The boys could have cared less that there was music. They spent the time playing football out in the big yard there....fine with me...I'm not ready for this boy/girl stuff yet!! :teeth:
Here's Erich and I...he's puffed his cheeks out his face isn't really that round! Can ya tell it was a little HUMID that night...OY!
