I just found an article that said Cedar Fair LP is acquiring all 5 paramount parks. I wonder how much they'll change them, or if they'll keep them the same like they did a few smaller parks they have purchased :confused3 A combination of both would work for me! :thumbsup2

Here's a quote from the front page of the Enquirer:
"At the present time, we have a season pass for Geauga Lake and Cedar Point, and I'm sure we'd come out with a season pass to accomodate all 12 properties, "said Dick Kinzel, Cedar Fair's chairman and chief executive, who otherwise gave few details Monday about what kinds of changes his company would make at the Paramount Parks.

By the way, Libby's limp disappeared after the third day, and she seems to be back to her normal, annoying self. Thanks for all the pixie dust...I'm so glad we avoided another expensive vet bill!

Amy :)
Glad to hear she's better without a vet bill. :wizard: for your house.

I just got off the phone with Julie! She's been super busy...she profited over $900 at her garage sale this past weekend! She said to say "hi," but she probably won't have time to post with the kids' end of the year activities and getting ready for her family vacation that starts June 2nd.

I will be at WDW the 1st week in Jan 07. What are your travel dates for that weekend??

Lynn

I'm not sure. Alan has been handling all of that. He's coming with me. So, I just go when and where he tells me.

Tell her hi from us. We are thinking about her and hoping that all is going well!

If anyone is coming in for the marathon then maybe some of us could get together that Friday night (Jan 5th). I guess we will wait and see what the travel dates are for everyone.

So, I really have no idea how the 9 a.m. Sunday showing went, since we were at breakfast and church. My mother-in-law said she drove by at 9:30 a.m. and they were still here. That showing wasn't with our realtor.

Now, I can give you a few details on the open house. Our realtor called us (we were at the zoo) freaking out about our cat around 12:30 (the open house was from 12-2). No one had showed up yet, but she claimed the cat was hissing and swiping at her. For the first open house, we had caged Lucy up, but her howling was so obnoxious, I really thought it would be better just to let her roam free. We told our realtor just to ignore her, but she admitted she hates cats and she swatted at her with a towel, which obviously ticked Lucy off. Kevin tried to tell her to walk out in the garage, letting the cat follow her, and then to just shut the door, but considering we found a note when we got home that said the cat was swiping at the one person who showed up, I guess she didn't do that. Her note went on to say "we really need to lock the cat up next time." I was pretty annoyed!

Anyway, we haven't heard any follow-up, but at least we've finally had a couple people walk through.

Amy
Amy I hate to say this.
I don't think it is the cat.
I think the realtor is a cat hater.
We had 10 showings in 3 days.
Never caged our 2 cats.
Just put signs on all doors not to let them out.
Sold our house to people with cat allargies.
Only had to shampoo the carpet after we moved out.
Good luck that you get a taker soon.

Hey Jo

It is good to hear from you. Do you have a date yet for your move to Atlanta?? Do you know what area you are looking in yet?? :yay:

Thanks for letting us know!

Woohoo Julie for the garage sale profit -- I'm quite impressed!!!

Wow, it really is a small world!

It turns out the one woman who came to our open house actually works in the Prosecutor's office! How do we know this? Today, she saw Kevin in court, and she said, "Your cat is evil!!!"

Now, I admit to anyone who comes near our cat that she is evil (ask Julie and Jennifer!), but I still think our realtor provoked her by swatting at her with a towel.

Anyway, this woman was impressed with what she saw and she said what we already know is true: someone really has to look past the small exterior and actually come inside to see all that it has to offer. Pictures just don't do it justice!

Kevin suggested that she come over again, with us home, to control our cat. Fingers crossed that she considers this!!!

Well, it's time to wake Alyssa up from her nap. I hope you all have a great night! Who are you cheering for: Taylor or Kat?

Amy :)

I just scheduled my NCLEX exam for June 2nd! I wasn't going to be worried at all, but that was before I took 2 months off without looking at a single book or question.... and now it's next Friday!!

What was I thinking?!

I wish I would have studied more up to this point, but I really don't have much of a choice on dates to pick now, with the cruise, etc as well as some other things going on. I guess I'll just need a little pixie dust that the studying I can cram in will be sufficient! :rotfl:

TAYLOR :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

But I think the season finale for House is also on at the same time as American Idol. I will have to check the listings when I get home and see.

That's too funny!! She is absolutely right about it having so much space, etc that you can't see just by looking while driving by! I hope she takes you up on your offer and comes over again. A second look would certainly be a positive thing! :wizard:

Hello, all! Well, the doctor concluded that I was having an allergic reaction to the Bactrim and told me to make sure that I wasn't prescribed sulfa drugs in the future. He called in a prescription for Cipro. The UTI symptoms are basically gone, my mouth is clearing up, and no more GI problems. Now I have a new problem that I'm hoping some of you medical types can reassure me about. While walking in Target today, I felt a little pop in my calf along with a stabbing pain. It literally took my breath away, and the friend that I was with thought that I had choked on my gum at first. I can't walk on it without pain, but it doesn't really hurt when I'm not walking. It doesn't give out or buckle, it just hurts. I am icing it now and keeping it elevated. At what point to I have to call the doctor? I am almost never sick or injured and all of a sudden three things in a row! Plus this isn't good for getting exercise!

Amy--Alyssa is adorable! I'm glad that Libby is better. I'm glad that a couple of people saw the house, and I definitely think that the realtor upset the cat.

Kate, Tammi, and Kristin--keep the stories and photos coming! I love to hear all about the trip.

Marti, Paul, and Matthew--WELCOME BACK (I think it's today)! I want to hear all about your trip, too. May is my favorite time to go to WDW.

I won't be able to go to DL or WDW in 2007 unless I win the lottery. I'll live vicariously through those that are able to go.

Paula--are you sure that you don't need an SSP confidante? I promise I can keep a secret!

Denise--that is so sweet of the church members to have a prayer shawl for Rees. Add our prayers into it! And a little :wizard: , too. I hope that you get relief from your sinus infection very quickly.

:wizard: :grouphug: :wizard: to all those that need it!

Beth

Jennifer--I'm sure you will do great on your exam! Here is a little pixie dust to get your confidence up! :wizard:

My parents will be here starting Friday, so I won't be around either. I'm so excited they are coming to visit and so is DH! Maybe we can sneak off for a date to see the DaVinci Code.
Sounds like fun. I hope you have a nice week-end and sneak in some date time. ;)

I am fixin' to leave work and go pick the boys up from swim team practice. I will check back in with ya'll later this evening.

Bye for now................Lynn
