It has been a busy day here today. Good to hear from everyone again. I had tried to log in this morning, but my connection was so slow that I logged off. I've been having trouble with my dialup software the last couple of days so I knew it was time to uninstall/reinstall the software. As I was doing that I ran my antivirus and anti spyware software and it found a Trojan Horse virus. It literally took hours to do a complete scan. I ended up taking a nap with the kiddos. When the older kids came home, Nick decided to play a game on my computer which is a no no, we have an old computer for that. He quit two applications that I was running so I had no idea how to finish getting rid of the virus. I ended up restoring the computer to yesterday and having to uninstall/reinstall a bunch of software and rurunning the antivirus stuff. If that wasn't bad enough my printer decided not to load any paper so I spend a couple of hours trouble shooting that. :furious: My finger is still very swollen and black so now I'm unsure if it is just bruised or maybe broken :confused3 . I think that all of the computer issues are behind me, but didn't get to work on Nick's project today other than running to Walmart to scan photos and print them. Tomorrow his project must get done. I hope that tomorrow is a more productive day.

I did manage to get my hair permed this morning so hopefully I will start looking a bit more put together.

Deb

Deb -- definitely not a good start to your week! Computer issues make me crazy! I sure hope they are all behind you and that you week gets significantly better, as well as your finger!

Sounds like we might have to plan a DDA meet in Alpharetta, Georgia! If Denise can't come to the DDA, the DDA will have to come to Denise!

I agree 100%. When's the trip to Georgia?

February would be best for me! My family will be going in September, and my chances of going again a month later are practically non-existant. My parents loved going in February. They said crowds were low, and the weather was pleasant.

So, how's February?

Feb. would be good for me. Earlier would be best since we take our family trip to WDW in early March. However, I'd try to make anytime in Feb. if it was scheduled.

I must put the girls to bed and then I am committed to 45 minutes divided into three different rooms. (is that the correct Fly lady thing to do?) So I shall be back later. I am only 10 plus pages behind. No big deal……. I think I might open a Monster drink (I am sure Bethie will be up a bit late tonight because she took a nap today and she NEVER naps).
:wizard: for Bethie.

I'm actually not a big fan of the movie at all, but I would REALLY love to see this overlay, as well as the IASW holiday one! Someday
We loved both. DL at Christmastime was so lovely. :cloud9:

**Update on Andrew and another request

This season has been a turning point for my son Andrew (age 10) in baseball. His coach from last year and several of the parents of players on that team have come over to me during/after games to comment on the progress Andrew has made. He is enjoying himself, still learning a lot and developing more self-confidence. As many of you remember, he has ADHD, dyslexia, a verbal expressive disorder (has trouble decoding but not articulating) and sensory issues. He excels at soccer but really wants to be able to keep up with his cousin who is awesome at baseball.

Andrew also got a boost in self-confidence last week at his end of school awards ceremony. He received perfect attendance (for the third year in a row), a citizenship award (he received the most votes from teachers for a third grader), an award for improvement in creative writing AND was voted on by his class for the citizenship award for their advisory.

All of this from a child who was considered to be a problem child in pre-school because his ***** teacher couldn't tell he had all those issues!

I'm coming to you tonight to ask for more good thoughts and Pixie Dust for him as the two baseball games (and wrap-up of a game under protest) this week are the most important of the season. While winning would be great, I'm most concerned with Andrew playing his best so that he can continue to build on his achievements/self-confidence. You guys were so wonderful the last time, and I truly believe the will of the DDA (along with his hard work!!) helped him.

Thanks again for your help. I am indeed, indebted to you all.

Marci

You know all of his DDA aunties are pulling for him!!! Go Andrew!!!

Deb-

I am sorry the computer is giving you fits and starts.
Hope your finger and the computer feel better soon!!

On accents- my husband was born and raised in MT and some of his friends asked me when we were first dating where he was from because of his accent :rotfl2: .UMMMMM he's from the town down the road from you.

:tink: :wizard: pixiedust: for Andrew and playing well in his games this week.

Well my family needs your pixie dust!!

Not me, them, all of them are just about thisclose from me losing it and they should be hoping they get back in my good graces shortly.
I know part of it is I am not sleeping and stressed but I get so tired of the same arguments over and over that I give up. :guilty:
Sorry for the rant.

Sorry to hear that things are stressed in your household. We go through phases like that as well. Totally understand! Hopefully things will look up soon. What are you doing about your sleep deprivation? Do you know why you aren't sleeping?

I finally can stay up late and chat on the thread and it went down for almost an hour on me! What's with that? :confused3 I am not a happy camper. Now I have to head to bed so that I can get up and be lucid for my managers meeting tomorrow. Can you say "B O R I N G"? I have trouble staying awake when I've gotten a good nights sleep!!!

Night Vicki and all DDAers going to try and sleep for awhile!!

Morning early birders!!

Garrett seems to be doing ok. He tends to hold his feelings in at times. When my mother passed away he did not show alot of emotion till the funeral. I found him sitting in the back crying as hard as could be, broke my heart.

Many many prayers for Garrett.
