The hospital just called, and Rees goes Thursday at 9:15am to register with the surgery at 11:15am. I have a feeling we'll be there for a while.

Hey, I just got 34000, and I noticed! It was unintentional, but I'm doing a Happy Dance now!!!

PD for a good Thursday and congrats on the milestone.

Crock update…. The base said they are still waiting for the shipment, but expect to have shipments for the rest of the summer. I will be stopping in again tomorrow.

Deb you are a Master DDA TFZ member and we are proud you stayed for the long hall. You never did say if you want to keep the title of Court Jester. Aren’t there usually two Court Jesters?

I am so busy that I happily relinquish the title to you. You are much funnier and are able to post much more than I can.

Actually Jen - it was because you said it that I knew to go ask them - I was just letting everyone know how high tech their capabilities had become - they said that the ability to search by character and location was a new technology that they had just added

Actually, that's how they found ours too -- by looking at character, time, date, location, etc. We did have to go speicfically to the Epcot Photo Center though, so maybe the technology is more widespread now, and that's what he meant? :confused3

Either way, I'm gald you were able to find the number! :goodvibes

Garrett just came home from school & the gentleman that passed away where I work at was his soccer coach. I feel so bad, I did not realize it was him. He was slumped over so I could not tell. Garrett goes to school with his daughter & she was also on his soccer team. At school today they had the team members go to a classroom so they could let them all know. He was 46 years old & died of a heart attack. Prayers for his family :grouphug:

PD and Prayers to that family.

I am thinking I am out on the DL meet -

since I am going in the fall - and on a cruise in the spring - there really isn't much time for me to go!!!

I will have to read all the trip reports!

But we are looking at Fall 2007.......that will be about 16 months away. Come on Kate just one more weekend with the DDA'ers who couldn't make the 5/18 or the DC trip. Give us one more chance to get everyone together. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Ok..you all will think I am nuts. But here goes- My girlfriend called me and I was telling her how crappy I felt and that is was probably all sinus related. Anyway, she tells me that she has this Acne Spray - it is all natural- and that she was told that if you spray it in your throat you will start feeling better.
OK I said I had sinus problems not skin issues! :rotfl2: I of course think she is crazy but I am game for anything. She has done it twice before once she started feeling sick and it worked for her. She said she'd bring it over if I wanted to try it. Well I tried it and I feel soo much better. My throat does not hurt and my sinuses are draining. So am I crazy?

I must put the girls to bed and then I am committed to 45 minutes divided into three different rooms. (is that the correct Fly lady thing to do?) So I shall be back later. I am only 10 plus pages behind. No big deal……. I think I might open a Monster drink (I am sure Bethie will be up a bit late tonight because she took a nap today and she NEVER naps).

I LOVE the Haunted House decorated as Nightmare Before Christmas!! Last Thanksgiving was the first time I'd seen it, and I loved it!! All the fun signs to read outside when you are in line. All the extra special touches. I hadn't seen the movie yet, and still thought the decorations were fabu!

Jennifer

I'm actually not a big fan of the movie at all, but I would REALLY love to see this overlay, as well as the IASW holiday one! Someday

You placed your feet in the "pageant pose" for the pictures. Ya'll look great and I can tell ya'll had a great time. Thanks for sharing those.

Yes!!

I love how IASW is outside at DL!! So when the clock does its show every 15 mins, you can see it even if you're in line or outside. We ate ice cream and watched the show outside last time. Then went on the Alice ride, where I fell off (see previous post). :rotfl:

Per the DL web site here are the different "seasons" for 2006 I am sure 2007 will be very much the same.

2006 Seasons

Value Season: 1/3-4/6, 4/23-6/29, 9/3-11/21, 11/26-12/21
Regular Season: 6/30-9/2
Holiday Season: 4/7-4/22, 11/22-11/25, 12/22-1/2/07

Value seasonis the best time to go for price and crouds.
I have been in mid summer and it's ok, but crouded and hot. I have been the weekend of Labor day and it wasn't a never do again time frame. I was there the first week of Dec and it was fabulous. I have also been there the first week of Jan and it was great.

My vote would be for anytime in September during the value season after Labor Day weekend...........in 2007.

I think Value season would be the best for us. How is February/March for everyone?

Maybe March?? Our big family trip to WDW is the 1st week in Jan 07 so money would be a little tight. I am still going to pull for mid Sept 07. But I will see what everyone else would like also.

night all.
I may be on tomorrow may not. I signed up for an extra shift at work. so will have to wait till 0500 CST to know if I am working or not. scheduled to work wed. off thur work fri and sat.

Day 3 - May 20

I am going to start with just the Segway report - I imagine Tammi might want to add more too

we arrived at 8:00 and arrived at guest Relations by 8:15 for our tour

there were 10 of us total on the tour and as we were waiting to leave Guest relations - a woman on our tour (Cathy) walks over and asks where we got our shirts - we told her that we made them - she turns to her daughter (katie) and says "I KNEW it - they made them!!" :rotfl2: As we all left for the tour - she said "oh good - now I have 2 hours to convince them to give me their shirts" :rotfl2: We never gave up our shirts but we did give them my email so they can come join us!!

We had already signed our lives away and we headed into the training room - where we sat and watched a video and they oriented us with the Segway

Our guides were Phil - he is a retired Doctor and does this for fun - the other one was (Shoot I forget his name) but he was younger and from NY - they were both a LOT of fun!!

then it was time to try them out - we walked out and got on them one at a time - kristine was first and then Tammi = then me - I was so nervous and it was hard to keep the Segway from rocking - Phil promised me I would get used to it and sure enough he was right - after about ten minutes I was completely comfortable on the Segway and it was just a matter of getting used to it

once we finished an hour of training inside innoventions - we headed out on our Segways into the "World" we took a jaunt through Future World and then we headed to into World Showcase - the hardest thing about the Segways was that you can't go over 5 miles an hour on them (there are smart keys that control the highest speed you can go - there are two other keys - 8 mph and 12.5 mph) we only got the 5 mph key - and as you go down the hills - this can be hard and as you start to go over the 5 mph the machine rebels and pushes back on you - this is pretty alarming when it happens and panic does set in - I will not name names - but I can tell you that one of us had to jump off her segway, one of us crashed her Segway (not a big crash) and one of us hit a corner!

But we really had a great time and we all did really well on the Segway's - the only time we really had any trouble was when we thought we were going to slow!!!! :teeth:

It was interesting to hear about the countries and see the World Showcase before it opened - and we really had a GREAT time!!!!

I really reccomend that you all go - it was a BLAST!!!!!! We picked the 8:30 am tour b/c we had heard it was better to do the tour before the parks opened and I can't tell you how important that advice was!! As we were finishing our tour - the last tour was heading out and they were going to be in World Showcase once it was open - I really think that would have made the tour a lot different and I was really nervous when we were around people
- I also don't think that we would have been able to go into the shops like we did - so if you go - make sure you take the 8:30 tour!!!!!

I'm not a pro when it comes to DL. I've never been! Would this be for families or just the moms? We've already got a trip to WDW planned for the first week of May for Alyssa's 5th bday.

I'm thinking Mom's only. I couldn't afford for the entire family to fly out to DL. What works better for you.......March 07 or Sept 07??
