Vicky-did you get my email? It was so hard to take photos with the camera phone. It was so bright that you couldn't see the screen. I also send a post card via snail mail. Did you have any notes for me? :teeth:

I got an e-mail before you left but not while you were gone. I'll check the scanning software to see if it screened it for some reason. I'm looking forward to my post card. Thanks. I just sent you an e-mail with a word document with notes that I've taken while you were gone.

Glad you had so much fun! Welcome back!

Bernadette, Welcome back. Sounds like a great trip..hope you post a trip report. The picture is great.

Jennifer, Congrats!!!

Paul, Congrats too!!!

Vicki, Congrats too, too!!!

Amy, you look great!

I got married on a Sunday afternoon in November 1991 at the Milleridge Inn. Marti, you must be the only one who knows where that is right?

I spent all day removing wallpaper in my DH's new office. The room was my DS's baby room & taking that blue wallpaper with the moon & stars on it was very sad for me. I remember buying it, getting bedding to match, & putting the glow in the dark stars up on the ceiling over his crib. Now it's all down & we are painting the office a putty/taupe. DS got to move upstairs to a bigger boy room. with all Mets baseball stuff around.

That's where we used to go every Christmas Eve for dinner! My dad's retirement party was held in the cottage. Only place I've ever heard referred to as a cottage - but can hold 250 people!

Here's a picture of my nephew. William Ray T***** III. My dad and brother used/use Bill. Of course, we called my brother Billy when he was little.

Hi all. Well I am home from Reno and couldn't be happier. Missed you all and my daily fix. I hope this past week was a good one. I am looking at the page count and I can't even remember what page I left off on. Can one of you take pity on my eyes and fill me in on anything of importance that I may have missed since last Sunday evening. After spending a week in a smoky casino I don't think my eyes will adjust to about 24 hours of catching up!

I knew you'd know! Yea it is so pretty there at Christmas time. We had our reception in the main building upstairs..we only had 85 people & it was lovely. Seems like 100 years ago now. :teeth:

I hope everyone had a good day. We went out for dinner to Red Lobster. One of the kids favs. I think they just like to watch all the lobsters in the tank. Then we stopped and played putt putt. Alyssa got bored a third of the way into it and spent the rest of the time either riding her putter like a horse or singing into it like a microphone.

Photo of Ellen and Marti at the sewing machine. They enjoyed a Dole "Marti" Whip and Ellen came with two huge bags of Star Wars toys for Matthew, he has not stop playing with them since he came inside.

Ellen, thank you very much for helping Marti with the machine and for the great gifts for Matthew. Ellen is just a pleasant in person as she is on the boards.

Send me a pm with your e-mail address and I will send you a word document of what has been going on the last week. I put it together for lovesdumbo at her request.

Bernadette - I'm sending that photo to work! It'll be my new wallpaper...only 142 days until my trip!

Kate - It might be a promotion that AAA Ohio (different club than the one up here) is using to get new members. It's worth every penny, even if it is the basic membership, and if you're still stocking up on Payless shoes. You get 10%-20% off Payless shoes when you show you're membership card. And 10% off at Joes Crab Shack just to name a few.

I wish there could be a DDA meet up in Cleveland/Akron!! (insert whiny face here...) When is anyone going to Cedar Point or the Cleveland Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this summer??

I may be coming down this summer to see my sister & her kids. They live in Avon Lake. I'll let you know if the trip happens as I hope! Isn't that like 1/2 hour from Cleveland?

Avon Lake is about an hour from my house. :thumbsup2 Plenty of good restaurants at the 1/2 way point. Even a Cheesecake Factory or Bahama Breeze nearby!

I could possibly combine a trip to Cedar Point in with a vacation to my parents' house in Pittsburgh. Keep me in mind if anyone plans anything, please.

Thanks Skunka!! I had a lot of fun, and it made me feel great to see how much Matthew liked the toys. My boys haven't touched them in several years, so I am glad they found a new home. Marti and I had fun chatting and setting up her sewing machine. She hemmed a couple of pairs of pants like a pro while I was there. And the Dole Whip Floats were really good, I'm going to have to go to Super Walmart to buy some of that pineapple sherbet.

Thanks again Marti and Paul for having me over today!!

Pittsburgh is only about 45 minutes from my house. No need to drive another 2 hours to Cedar Point unless you like coasters! We do have Geauga Lake right up the road though...
