Hi, everyone. Just home. My friend called the Peds Surgeon at Emory for me and he is calling to talk to us this weekend. I'm so appreciative and impressed. Oh, and like a DA I decided to close the hatch to my mini van on my head after school. I now have a nice cut, lump, and headache. Uh, hello?! Denise, do you not see the giant door coming towards you? I think it must be because June has our brain today...

Denise, I'm sorry this happened. It must have been while I was using the brain on full power to try and figure out what the boss did to mess up a set of papers that were supposed to go out today. Why doesn't she stick to lawyering and let me do the assisting?

So who watched Mickey's Playhouse tonight? My 2 younger ones were laughing through the whole thing. They really liked it. I just love anything Mickey....

I have never had a dole whip & now I read on the boards that it is included in the snack credits on the dining plan? So cool, can't wait to try one in Aug. Last October we had 13 snack credits left on our departure day so I got 13 rice krispy treats to take home. Hopefully I'll be able to manage my credits better so we don't have so much left overs.

We are watching Nemo now..love Crush.

just wanted to give the rest of the update i have on alyssa...here is what her mom posted today :

On Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 06:15 a.m., Alyssa went with God through Heaven's Gates. Be assured she was comfortable and without pain. Know that Alyssa loved you all sooooo much. I know you will all miss her greatly as my heart has broken too and aches for her. I do know that she has finally "beat" cancer for the last time in that where she is there is no pain, no sorrow. Just green pastures for horesback riding and joy. Thanks so much to everyone there for Alyssa and us both physically and in spirit. What a tough job for her nurses Wednesday night and Thursday morning, Ela, Grisel, Zelia and Joe. Special thanks to Natalie for staying with Alyssa until she was ready to go "downstairs". The nurses and child life staff provided such awesome care to Alyssa and us as a family. We will never forget them as well. Dr Sprinz and Dr Richardson will also hold special places to our hearts for giving such effort with compassion to such a horrible, unpredictable disease such as neuroblastoma.

I will have to miss the viewing and funeral as it is a 4 hour drive and we all have work, so im kind of upset about that,,but we will go up in a few weeks when things settle down a bit..
i really appreciate having somewhere to post..its been a real rough day and i cant seem to stop crying..thanks all

but it would also not be fair for me to use them for a trip for me without Steve and the kids

Tammi - I really don't care about being on or off-site - I just thought if we could get the all-stars at $36 a night -it would be worth a shot - but you could get an off-site with that

it is a bummer all the mod AP rates are gone

Jen - I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this. And I know you want to be at the funeral. I hope you find a way to go visit Alyssa's family when the time is right for you all.
