Hey guys... I need your opinion. Here is another Family shirt design I am playing with. Which one do you like better- the red or the green?

Green...but I really like them both.

I only have 4 more days of teaching school after tomorrow (and 1 work day!). Can't believe the year is almost over. Kids have 2 weeks left, and then I'll be the mom of Kindergartners. How scary. Tuesday night is the Parents Night at their Elementary School. It's really happening.

BTW, I haven't heard about the other pre-school teaching job. I really want it as it's at the church where we are members (where I teach Sunday School and Choir). The minister, head of music, and my co-teacher of my choir class (she' the music teacher for the pre-school) all have said something to the Director of the Pre-school. So PD that I hear something positive soon.

Oh, and an update on Rees. I had a productive talk with the GI Doc today. I think he now realizes why John and I are so concerned. We talked about everything. The big issue is that if it is really bothering Rees, then it IS a problem. He agreed. And Rees has lost 4 pounds in the past 6 weeks. His appetite is down big time we are guessing due to reflux pain. the trouble with re-doing the Fundo is there is only so much stomach available for the surgery. If we do it now, then what happens 5 years from now when symptoms appear again and we have no other solutions? So that's why the doc really doesn't want to do surgery now. Unfortunately, if he keeps losing weight we'll have to take some kind of action. The doctor said we may have to put a feeding tube back in so that we can supplement his calories. So, now we're looking like we may be going down the whole Failure To Thrive/Feeding tube road that we did before. Needless to say, we are so upset. I do understand the doctor's view now much better, and I feel like he heard me. Oh, he wants us to video Rees when/if he has another big reflux episode so he can see exactly how he's reacting. so, that's my update.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for the other preschool job.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: that you find a workable solution for Rees that makes him feel great soon!

Beth

Denise -- I woke up thinking about Rees this morning and hoping there was some improvement. Sounds like you are still having to work through this and I am sorry that you have to go through that all over again. Many good thoughts are coming your way over the next few months.

Also sounds like you need some pixie dust on the job front. I sure hope the director opens up his/her eyes and sees whta a wonderful asset you would be to the school.

I had one of the most tiring, stressful, busy weeks that I can remember in a very long time. It just doesn't seem to improve, but no need dwelling on every little thing that is going on. Just to update you guys, I have not received a single response to the email that I sent out at 9 AM. Not even from the families that were not at the meeting last night and haven't signed up for anything at all. I suspect that they will not reply until late next week if then. Oh well, I'll bring food and wood for my family and we will have an awesome weekend none the less.

Deb

Deb - I am sorry you have to deal with so many selfish, self-absorbed morons. I agree with your decision to provide the best weekend you can for your family and let the others fend for themselves, whatever the outcome. Once again you have done everything possible to make this a memorable experience for those scouts and the parents seem to be shirking responsibility. Kudos to you and raspberries to them!

Oh, and Kate, I'm sure you realize this, but we're closing in on page 1972...a very important year for some of us! :thumbsup2

Really going to bed now,
Amy :)

The first thing I noticed this morning was that 1964 was long gone!

I am so sorry to hear that you may have to go through the FTT/FT road again. However, you did a great job of making sure that you & the doctor understand each other. WTG, Mom!!!! Prayers & pixie dust :tink: that it doesn't come to the FTT/FT but at least you know that you have the doctors attention.

Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone! BTW, 6 years ago today I was admitted to the hospital for the remainder of my pregnancy. I had emergency surgery on May 6. Thank the good Lord it worked. So, today is always a special day around here. We're going out tonight with the kids and getting Mexican to celebrate. I'm headed to bed. See y'all tomorrow.

I hear you Kate on the crabby kid thing. You too Glynis. I had to take the fight club aka Colby and Logan to a few stores this morning to find rain gear and boots for Nick which he needs for this weekends camping trip. All they did was fight through every store that we went in. No bribe worked. I felt like everyone was watching us. One lady with 3 kids of her own said "I'm glad I'm not the only one". I was so glad to get home and put all three of us down for a nap. My headache is at least gone and the sun is shining so hopefully we'll get outside soon. I do have to work tonight though.

Colby is on my lap selecting smilies that I need to use. He likes to look at Tia's Signature. He thinks Terra is cute

Deb :badpc: :confused3 :thumbsup2 :cool1:

She likes his pic with Pal Mickey too! She was just telling someone that she needed to get married, but didn't know to whom....

Hi all! I just wanted to share where I went this morning, otherwise known as a very proud aunt moment

My nephew is a pitcher for his high school team and just signed to play college baseball (on scholarship) at McNeese State University here in Louisiana. His signing was at the school this morning. He will play next year as a Freshman and his coach told him he thought he'd be there 3 years then be high enough in the draft to go pro. That's a long way away and anything could happen between now and then, but I'm so proud of and excited for him. He's a great kid!!

Here's his picture:

How cool! Congratulations to your nephew! When that draft comes around I promise to cheer for his team as long as it's not the Yankees or Cubs.

We were there Dec. 17-23 and waited 3 nights to catch it cause it got cancelled twice for wind. Funny thing was the balloon they released barely moved. Everyone around us was irate but while they were all standing around grumbling we booked it over to Rivers of America and found great spots for the second Fantasmic show. :teeth: I have to say we shelled out the money in summer for balcony seats but our spot on the river was much better and free. Our AP's expire Aug. 21 so we'll probably go the week before they expire. I do know I would like to also catch the Alladin show we missed at DCA. I have heard others rave about it.

We tried to see it the 24th and were going to try for the 25th, but I was SO tired after all of the Christmas excitement, plus Terra and I both had jet lag and couldn't seem to sleep past 5am any given morning.

The Aladdin show is really cool. You should really try to get over there. We'll probably just miss you because the first non-blackout day is the 21st. So close! We'll probably go later in the fall then so that things can cool down a little.

Too late for me. I went back to see if I had posted or been quoted on page 1961, but it wasn't to be. :sad1: :sad2:

I have to quote my twin on 1971 to honor her birthday year.

I was asked last night how many brains are being shared on the DDA.

Anyone know the answer? :teeth:

I don't know the answer but I know that you & I share one. There is at least one other one floating around.

I designed a birthday picture for Kevin, but Photobucket and DIS Photos are down for maintenance so you will just have to wait! Meanwhile, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KEVIN!

Hopefully, I'm not too late. Last I saw we were on 1971 so this should show up there!

I can't believe how many people like my pages... I only designed them for me and they're not that spectacular but I loved them and I'm so glad other people want to use them too

They are fantastic pages!!!! Not only do others love them to use them, you inspired me to do my own!

Had to brag on my boys. They both passed their first test tonight and got a yellow stripe on their white belts at Karate! And Davis had enough "High 5" awards to get a blue star for his uniform. Rees got his 5th award today, so he'll get to trade them in for the blue star next week. Proud mom moment! They are loving Karate so much.

Congraulations, Davis and Rees!!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I am so glad that they are enjoying it so much. That's one thing I want Terra to try when she gets a little older.

Morning, all. Off to school. Be back later today. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
