The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 7

my little guy is such a trooper -

we tried one more time to get him to willingly go in the machine - no dice - I told him - you can lay down or they will give you a shot

he said "me get shot"

by the time we saw the doctor and get ready for the sedative - it was about 2:00 and he was fading quick - I still hoped he wouldn't need the sedative - but as soon as he saw the machine - he tried to run -

I felt so HORRIBLE holding him down for the IV and once they give the sedative you can't stroke them b/c the skin is too sensitive - I was holding his hand and looking in his eyes and he was pleading with me to make them stop - it was awful - thankfully he fell asleep on the first push of the IV and they did not have to give him too much medicine

he slept for two hours after - when we woke him up and he wanted the IV out - I told him once he drank his juice they would take it out - he drank his juice and when the nurse walked over with crackers he said "TAKE THIS OUT!!" she thought he was hilarious and everyone agreed he was just fine and could go home

he is asleep now - but they said he will be wobbly for the night and tomorrow - he fell off the couch twice within five minutes of getting home while trying to move around on it

and then he thought it was HILARIOUS to run around my family room b/c he was so wobbly - it was like he had the effects of spinning without spinning so he thought that was GREAT

he is mad at me b/c I wouldn't get him McDonald's on the way home - so Steve is bringing it - he had to keep down soft food first - which he did

we are going to give him tylenol and hope the headaches go away this week - I love the doctor - she gave me her cell phone and told me to call her if I need her - now that is a GREAT doctor

thank you all for your thoughts and prayers - it means the world to me that you all are here to support me!!!

I rescheduled my doctor appointment Friday afternoon and should know more about my knee then!

The early birds (who I'm usually one of) are going to wake up and go "OMG, they were chatty last night". Then when it only takes them 15 minutes to read all of us waiting for Denise to see she stole the milestone, they'll be happy again!!!!

That's exactly what we are saying!!

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd pop in to say hello in between Survivor and CSI. I'm feeling better, but it's moved into my nose. Should be fun sleeping tonight. Still have the aches, but cold meds help some. And I made it through 8 hours of work today...though someone might say I fell asleep during my lunch break... but not for too long!

Other than that, nothing exciting going on here...Bob folded socks (isn't it the little things that matter ?) I forgot to feed the cats dinner until about an hour ago...the weather was wonderful and our lawn mower broke. Anyone know any good brands of self propelled lawn mowers?

Hi everyone,
I have been on & off still can't get caught up.
I have missed a few so belated to you all that I missed.
I know a few of the little 1's have been .
Hope all are better now.
All that are going through trying times hang in there.
Better times always around the corner.

We have all seemed to have settled in to our new place.
I took Ramiro out of after school care.
I just pick him up after school & take him home.
Live & work on site so I'm just outside.
He seems to be doing much better.
Even helping me around the apt.
Likes to help with dinner.
It works out better for me also.
I don't have to fight 5:00 traffic to pick him up.
I really think he just grew out of it.
All the kids his age go home (latch key or SAHM).

Well I'm off to go & try to catch up.

If it is something you want to do, you can do it too!!!! I went back after my two kids were born to finish my degree.

I have thought about it but then I think about Zachary. I guess for now I just want to get him through the medical system(testing, referrals,etc.) and get him help. I just don't know after that.

Hi! Just wanted to post real quick & see how everyone is tonite. I am still catching up..back on 1930 & now reading how Denise didn't know she got 29000!!! I missed all the fun! I skipped around & read the last 5 pages too.

It was a crazy day here..all 3 of my kids went to bed in tears. All for 3 different reasons..what a whopper of a day. They are all sleeping like angels now.

I haven't fully caught up yet so if I miss anyone it's not intentional.

Denise, Congrats for Rees & Davis for the karate accomplishment!

Kristine, Hope your rash is gone & you are feeling more comfortable. You are quite the rainbow.

Amy, I had horrible heartburn with all my kids. The old wives tale says they will have a lot of hair if you get heartburn..mine were not very hairy though.
BTW I have NEVER had Chick Fil A. Haven't seen one here in (as Marti says) New Yawk.

Seems like bad news around here continues....we got a call that Bill's cousin died. She was only 59. She was a cancer survivor...during Easter she had a terrible head ache...she ended up at the ER. Turns out she had a blood clot. Things were looking up when we left for Vegas...but I guess took a terrible turn and she passed away tonight. I didn't know her very well, nevertheless, I feel very bad for the family. I think I am developing a death complex.

Congratulations to Rees & Davis!

Had to brag on my boys. They both passed their first test tonight and got a yellow stripe on their white belts at Karate! And Davis had enough "High 5" awards to get a blue star for his uniform. Rees got his 5th award today, so he'll get to trade them in for the blue star next week. Proud mom moment! They are loving Karate so much.

My first was natural and my 2nd induced with pitocin and an epidural.
My first arrived on her due date, DH pulled onto the sidewalk up to the door of the hospital at 5.45am and she 'popped' out at 6.09, DH did some low flying that night he thought baby was coming on the interstate
