Hi! I'm checking in quickly to give you all an update on my ultrasound, since Kevin is busy giving Alyssa a bath. :)

Everything looks great. My placenta has moved up, so a c-section isn't mandatory. Matthew wasn't very active, even when she moved the table into a 45 degree angle with me digging my feet in so I didn't slip off and fall on my head! Everything about him looked perfect, and he weighs a little over 3 pounds (yet, I've gained much more than that!).

My doctor said that if I'm 2 centimeters dialated in my 39th week, that we could schedule an induction. Not only could we make arrangements for Alyssa's care, but this would be helpful to all my family that has to drive four hours.

Now if we could only sell our house...we still haven't had a single bite! Grrrr, I despise things out of my control. Kevin and I have our meeting to set up our bridge loan next Friday and then we close on our new house on May 25th. We're going to have another open house a week from Sunday. Boy, are we going to have a busy summer!

Amy :)

That's great news, Amy. I am glad that everything is happy and healthy. Continued prayers and :wizard: for your house!!

I have a prayer request for a friend of mine. Kristin Branan has been battling cancer for 6 years now. 1st it was breast cancer and then cancer in the bones in her back. She was still going once a week for chemo for the 2 spots in her back. They actually put a direct port into her arm to make it easier for each visit. Well about a month ago she start having dizzy spells and they scanned her brain and found 4 lesions on her brain. They started agressive daily radiation about two weeks ago. She only has 3 more treatments and then she will wait 2 weeks for another scan to see if there has been any change. Her and her husband are a sweet, sweet couple and have a daughter who is in 5th grade and a son who is in 1st grade. Please, please put Kristin and her family on your prayer list.

Thanks.............Lynn

You have my prayers for your friend. I really believe prayers can be very powerful.

I am friends with a mom from my kids class. She is 38, has 3 kids & battled stomach/intestine cancer last year. She went thru surgeries & chemo. Lost alot of weight & all her hair & then she thought she had beat it. This January she went for a routine follow up & they found tumors on her intestine that were very aggresive. She also had the port in her. She is a trooper & a very good person. All she worries about is what will happen to the kids if she is not around..please add her to your prayer list as well. She is a very dear person.

Hi, all. Kids had a great day at 'Art in the Park' (their field day which was all arts and crafts). They made sand art, tie dye shirts, hermit crabs out of large pasta shells, sun visors, flower lei necklaces, clay butterflies, and tornado bottles. They had a pizza party too. The weather held off (it's raining now with storms coming tonight), so it was cool even. Found out one of their good friends from school will be going to K at their school next fall. They are very excited.

What a fun day! That sounds like a blast. I am glad that the weather held out for you.

Thanks all for making me feel welcome again. I sure have missed talking and just reading along to the post. Hope I can keep up a little better but until all of these boxes have been gone through and probably until we have the yardsale I will be very busy.

I am doing my office in Disney. Remember I am a transcriptionist and have to really have a home office. I can't wait to get it all together and post pictures.

I bought a print of the WDW castle when I was there and am getting it framed. I am so excited. I just know it will look wonderful. As you can tell I am more excited about doing my DISNEY office than the rest of my house. LOL

Hi!
I would love to see pictures of your Disney office. We are doing our tv/playroom in Disney too so if you have any suggestions.

Dawn (that is my sister's name)

I hope this anesthesiologist is much better than your last one. By the way tell your dh that 39 is not old, I should know I just turned 39.
Thank you! I hope so too!!

I don't think he's old either. He better not call me old at 39!

My Wal-Mart must have been out of the Princess ones. I may make a stop at Target tomorrow.

Has anyone else ever done the bath balls with Pooh, Princesses, or Nemo inside? They fizz and turn the tub water a color, and there is a little plastic figure inside. There are only three varieties for each type, though. Miles and Laura love those.

It would be great if the Zizzlingers were available in other Disney characters.

Beth
I haven't read far enough to see if anyone answered this, but on the back of my box it says to look for these other Zizzlinger titles: Aladdin, Monsters, Inc., The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid, Nickelodeon characters. I don't know where to find them, though.

Thanks, all for your encouragement on the workouts. I actually had been going to Curves for awhile, but someone new took over and I ddn't like her. Then the gym (Planet Fitness) had a special. $29 sign up fee, $20 annual fee and $20 per month. This level of membership allows you to bring a guest at no charge (even every time you come, and the same guest, so it's like a two-for-one membership) and it has tanning booths. I won't take advantage of them, because being a redhead (with help covering the grey) I have very fair skin and don't tan - just freckle and burn. I've been going for about 5 weeks now and have worked up from one mile to two, and without pain.

:grouphug: pixiedust: to Tammi and Lynn's friend. Amy, glad everything went well with you and Matthew. Denise, I'm glad you all had a good day today.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I had a good day. The office manager came up to me and said "I need your creativity." The firm is sponsoring a booth at a chamber of commerce function and she wanted me to make a sign and some business size coupon type things for a drawing for a dinner that we are giving away. I told her I'd do it, but I'd have to do it at home since we don't even have color printers, let alone any sort of designing software. It wasn't that much fun, though, because the firm is very stuffy and everything has to be simple and elegant. I wonder if they'll reimburse me for ink? They want 1000 business cards!

Hey all! I have not posted in like forever and I guess I was not missed but any way we finally got moved. I am slowly unpacking boxes. We started planning this move three years ago and started packing things then to sell our house so I have things I have not seen in three years. I have four stacks - 1 keep, 2 store, 3 yardsale, and 4 e-bay. I really am getting rid of a lot of stuff. Yay for me.

As fast as you all post I could not possibly go back and read all. I have however skimmed over pages several times over the past few weeks.

Hope everyone is doing okay. As for my knee, I got a shot in it in April and it is sooo much better. They did schedule me for surgery on June 1 but I may cancel as it rarely hurts me at all now.

I will still be very busy so probably will not be able to keep up but just wanted to drop in and say hi!
You were missed! I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering where you had been :goodvibes

Hi everyone-
Denise-sounds like a fun day with the art in the park..Alyssa was 16 years old.

Amy-Glad everything looks good with Matthew still

Tia-Thanks--its so helpful to know we have the support--I wish i could ride with him, but i havent been on a bike in so long so its probably not a good idea!

Thanks for letting me share the pics--ill stop talking about Alyssa now, i just thought you may want to see what she looked like..

Oh my gosh! These figuirines in the Zizzlingers are SO incredibly cute! I'm 22, with no little girls.... why do I feel the need to try and collect them all?! :confused3 :rotfl:

Enablers, all of you!
So what did you get??? I'm 33 with no girls and I couldn't fish them out of the water fast enough ;)

You don't have to stop talking about Alyssa. It has been 8 years since I my father died. I talk about him when I can because then I feel like I haven't lost him. I am always happy to hear about your time with Alyssa.

Where did you guys find them? Do you remember what was around them? I couldn't find any at our Walmart but I'm not sure if I was looking in the right place.
