Thank You all for the birthday wishes...

Spent the day with Matthew, Marti left for NJ around 10am and got there about 3pm.

Matthew and I went to Home Depot to get some lumber for a diggin' dirt box, went into town to our favorite ice cream shoppe and sat by the erie canal. When we got home we started "fabricating" (Matthew watches too much American Chopper) his box. We also put his swings back up along with the canopy for the fort, played alittle football, did some drawing with chalk on the driveway(Matthew wrote We Miss Mommy--and WE do) and washed my truck. Went to Wendys for dinner, he is in the shower and then we are going to watch some wrestling that we tivo.

Marti should be home around dinner time Mon, try and keep it down, last week it took her like 4 hours to catch up...

Maybe I'll see you later...

Denise, hope the fig kids are well and enjoyed the movie. I'm still waiting for my knock knock jokes.

Sounds like you and Matthew had a good day! Hopefully the time Marti is gone passes by more quickly this time around with him to keep you company!

Marti, I'm glad you made it safely -- you'll be in my thoughts and prayers the next few days!

I took Nick to urgent care - and the doctor agreed that she thought he had a sinus infection so they did x-rays - she and I were both shocked that they were normal and he does not have a sinus infection -

so I have no answer on the headaches which concerns me that they might be migraines - the doctor said it could also be the fever

the fever was much lower today and he is sound asleep now - so I hope that maybe he is getting better

he did scream about his head once - but I am not sure he didn't hit it - so I will just keep an eye on it this week

the worst thing that happened to me the whole day was when the nurse popped her head in while I was waiting for the x-ray report and said to me "you need to call your husband" my world stopped - I couldn't breathe - all I could think was that they x-ray had shown something horrible - turned out I had called Steve to let him know what was going on and he returned the call to the front desk and asked to have me call him

I am sure she had no idea how she said it came across but it really scared me until I realized what she meant!

No -- first time for Western. We've done Eastern twice.

If your kids are old enough and strong enough swimmers the stingray city excursion is great but it 6 miles out too sea with nothing around but a wonderful experience. Booked this thru the cruise incase of problems.

The tour that goes around the island to the rum cake places, turtle breading farm, Hell, etc is a really interesting one too, we did it privately not thru Princess and it was very reasonably, they also have some cool stores etc along the main road.

Glad to hear Nick is doing better and those messages can be a shock so glad all is well in your house.

I sent you a PM earlier.

I'm sorry that DH is gone already. I hope you all had a good time together. If you figure out the trick to staying awake, please let me know!!! I was waiting for my BIL to get back from a dinner he had to go to last night as I was afraid he'd get lost on the way back from the train. In the end I went to bet at 12:30am. Then, my darling daughter woke up at 4:45 and got out of bed without my knowing. I only figured it out when she came back a minute (I hope!) later shining a flashlight in my face. I got her to lay down, but she was up for good by 5:45! Then today she fell asleep at 3:00 and slept until almost 6:00. Seems that I will be going to bed around 11 or 12 again tonight only to be up at 5am for work. Hmmm...may need to take a trip for some caffinated coffee.
I hope she gets to bed earlier for you. :cloud9: That sounds exhausting. My little one stays up til midnight or 1 am sometimes but I can sleep til 7. I don't think I would be able to drag my sorry a** out of bed any earlier.

:teeth: I have been posting some on a thread about AKL. I am not sure how the wildbunch came about(I think it had to do with our tickers & eating zebra domes lol). The tag fairy came along & gave alot of us this same tag. So I guess you can all call me the wild one now lol(jk) Sorry not a very exciting story, but I sure was tickled to see it this afternoon :cheer2:

Hey Janet, is that a new tag?!? What's the story behind it?

ETA: I guess we noticed the tag at about the same time! :teeth: I still want to hear the story though.

See it is always the quiet ones that turn out to be the wild ones lol :teeth: Really though I did nothing out of the ordinary to get this.

Ok, Janet. Tell us what the tag means!

 everyone!! I hope that you all have had wonderful weekends! Terra and I took BIL to the train station this afternoon. We had a great time while he was here, though with his conference we didn't see him too much.
Unfortunately, I think that I was spoiled just enough with the adult conversation that the adjustment back to solitude is going to be a little tough. Dinner Friday and walking around the city a little yesterday morning was so nice because I actually got to talk about things other than Blue's latest clue, what Jojo learned today and the latest adventures in Terra's vast imagination. I guess that means that I really need to get a move on the job search in St. Louis so we can get back to my family before I completely lose it. I'm complaining, I know. It's really not that bad, just lonely at times.

Hope everyone is doing well!

BTW - Where the H-E-double-hockey-sticks is spring! Tomorrow makes it officially May and we're still dipping into the 30s some nights. I'm not liking it. If it is going to rain as much this week as "they" say it will it had better start warming up. I really don't want to be wet and cold on the way to work.
:grouphug: I know what you mean about the solitude driving you  . It is lonely to live so far away from family when you don't have any friends. DH was just mentioning moving to St. Louis area as we would only be 3 hours away from family (sure beats a 3 day drive) and they have an airport so he can fly out easily for his business trips. Of course, I'm like we don't know the area, there could be a lot of crime. I'm such a worryer and that moving to a new place is hard for me. Good luck with the job search. :wizard:

One of the members posted a request to the tag fairy. I saw it while "cruisin" the boards earlier. The tag fairy said they don't normally grant requests like that but they are partial to animals so made an exception.

I'm sorry to hear this Amy, but like you said it has only been a week. Your home will be sold before you know it! :wizard:

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all your posts and PMs regarding our open house today. I'm disappointed to report that nobody showed up though. I know our house has only been on the market for a week, but it's discouraging that we haven't had a single person walk through yet.

But at least the house is clean...it'll just take maintenance now, and hopefully not the back-breaking scrubbing Kevin and I have done for the past week. We're both exhausted and crabby.

:grouphug: I can't imagine all that work for noone to show up. I think you deserve some Chick Filla or some other treat. :thumbsup2 :wizard: I hope you get some real interest in your house soon.

Ooh, you heard her Amy! What are you doing for lunch tomorrow? ;)

Hope Nick starts feeling better soon :wizard: My heart would have stopped as well if the nurse had said that to me :faint:

OMG I would have been like :faint:. She definitely should think about how she words things. My oldest started getting headaches at around 3 or 4. I have had migraines since 16. I get 4 to 5 a week. So I wasn't surpised with how bad he said his head hurt I was just surpised that a child that young could get headaches. Maybe his regular dr. has some idea of what you can give him to alleviate the pain. :wizard: I hope this is the last of his head hurting. poor thing.

I think it was Kimmar that mentioned having the tag fairy stop by. I was just surprised that I got tagged, right place at the right time I guess :goodvibes

Kate,
I sure hope that Nick does not start getting migraines. What I would do just to be safe is write down what was happening when it happens. Bright lights, strong smells (for me it is certain perfumes, air fresheners that are plugged in all the time, strong cleaning products, really bad exhaust to name a few), and of course foods. Will be thinking about you tonight and tomorrow.

Good morning. Rees is done with his test!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPPPEEEEEEEE!!!! He did great. He did reflux once I saw during the night. Overall, he only refluxed a few times that we witnessed. I am guessing the doctor will say that medication and diet for now to control it, and when and if the reflux breaks through that treatment, then we'll redo the Fundo. I'll get all the official results on Tuesday, and it still depends on the biopsy results and if he refluxed more than John and I saw.

Thanks for the prayers! He had milk for lunch and oatmeal (his faves!). Taking them to the movie later and getting a giant popcorn with butter. Yummy!

I'm glad that is over. I hope that things aren't too bad and that meds will control it. :wizard: :wizard: Rees :wizard: :wizard:

DS came to ask if he could ride his bike so I said yes, a little later a neighbor from down the road drove him home, he fell off his bike and both knees are scraped and bleeding but he won't let us near him!!!

That is aweful. I'm sure you'll convence him to let you in there to clean it up. Colby is the same way. I hope he feels better soon.

Poor little Nick! I suffered from migraines as a child, (and as an adult), and they are no fun at all! I hope that's not what it is. Will he let you put a cool cloth over his eyes? That helped me a lot when I felt a headache coming on. It's just too bad he is so little and can't really explain what it is he's feeling. That's the most helpless feeling for a mom, isn't it?

I will pray for a peaceful night for Nick, and you, too! I hope that you will have better news to report tomorrow morning. For now, look on the bright side, at least it's NOT a sinus infection.
