I did the presentation!!! The prof. was really understanding, and great! The recording was fun to do, and he was really impressed with my presentation. I'm so glad it's over!

I have a prayer request for all of you, I found out that my sister-in-law has colon cancer, liver cancer and ovarian cancer. She will have to have a very aggresive treatment.

Good Morning Everybody;

Sorry I haven't been around lately, I have missed you guys SO MUCH!!!!

I am getting ready for Kyle's First Communion on Sunday, luckily the party is at my in-laws house but I still have a ton to do!!! I am right now as we speak in the middle of boiling eggs for deviled eggs, and potato salad, wish me luck!!! I have used all of your advice on how to make the "perfect" boiled egg and hopefully it will work!!!

Cody's care has been monumental!!! I could have never imagined all that we would have to do for him, it's like having another child!!!! He tore the top layer of sutures out over the weekend and we had to get those re-sutured again now we are back to square one as far as how long the stitches will have to be in for, he has to wear one of those hoods that looks like a lampshade 24/7 that is SUCH a pain, he has MANY meds. that we have to give him, and we are supposed to be giving him showers twice a day because he has developed a staff infection. On top of that I think he is depressed, he is SO mopey and he wants to get out of our room SO bad, we had to section off an area for him and put down lots of towels and sheets because he is still bleeding and draining a lot!!! Thanks for all of your well wishes and hopefully this recovery process will get better and he will be back to normal SOON!!!

Last night I took Carli to the pet store to get a hamster, she missed the one that we were watching for Kyle's class SO much!!!! She seems to do very well having a pet of her own, we made her sign a contract agreeing to take care of it , and do her chores around the house, and most importantly stay in her bed all night, this last one is SUCH an issue w/ her and I think having an animal in her room helps her sleep better!!! We'll see!!! She named her Maya Minnie Honey, but she decided that her nickname will be Cinderella !!! The hamster is a baby teddy bear hamster and she is actually very cute!!!

I'm sure some of you all know this, but I had to cancel my trip w/ the DDA to Disney World!!! I was extremely depressed about this this week, I was SO looking forward to going and meeting everybody!!! I have never had a trip away from my kids before, and I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to getting away and having some fun with friends!!! Sadly though it just wasn't meant to be, after all that we paid in the last few weeks for Cody, and for this party this weekend, I just couldn't go in good conscience. It was becoming a MAJOR issue w/ Dave and I, Dave said I would have to choose between this trip and our families trip in December, obviously I had to choose the family trip. Hopefully in the future there will be another trip to go on w/ everybody!!! Thanks to all of you guys going on the trip for including me in your plans and also for understanding why I had to cancel, I hope I didn't mess up any of your plans and I know that you all will have SUCH a GREAT TRIP!!!

When I cancelled the airfare I couldn't get a refund but a credit towards another flight, so I went ahead and booked our airfare for December , so at least I have that to look forward to!!!!

I will let you all know how the party and everything works out, and I promise to get back to posting regularly next week once everything settles down!!!

I'm so sorry you had to miss your trip in May. I think every mom needs some time away to have fun without taking care of everyone else. Maybe another time. I was hugely disappointed to miss my church's women's retreat this year (family fell ill). It just helps us mommies to recharge.
for Cody. It sounds like he is having a rough recovery. May it get easier for him.

I have to get up and be at a volleyball game at 7:30 tomorrow morning so I am heading off to bed shortly. But I knew if I didn't come on and catch up tonight it would be Sunday before I know for sure I could get on and phewie I can just imagine the amount I would have/still may have to catch up on!!

Oh, and just a quick note to say I'm so sorry Julie has to miss the trip, but tinker1bell was so right about me not being able to go.

Quiet as it has been kept, my tendon is not good. I'm in a lot of pain a lot of the time and I am wondering how in the heck I'm going to make it to Chicago next week.

I think I'm going to ask to be met at the luggage place with a wheelchair. After I get to Chicago, I'll be fine. My nephew will take great care of me and his mother. I just dread the long walkway to the plane...

All this to say, there is no way I would be ready to go to WDW in May. No matter how cheap the airfare or steep the desire. No way.

Okay, I'm hoping to see the Triple B's in a few hours. So I've got to get some sleep. Niteyu, n ite DDA. I'm never catching up but I'll find out what's been going on next week.

Elin - Hey, it's Friday! We can all use some funnies even if they are kiddy!

My house threw up on itself and DH comes home tonight for two nights (yeah!). Along with the fact that I have a bur up my ___ (the area the sun does not shine), because I weighed in this morning only to find I did not gain or loose ANYTHING!!! So that made me a bit misaligned. Then I went to Joann’s fabrics to get some stuff for one of my SSP and they wouldn’t take my coupon because the item was already on sale. (this is the first time that has happened; usually they take the item back to full price and then give you the coupon) AND the lady behind me tried to cut in front of me in line.

So I went to the donut shop and bought Elizabeth and I a donut, I also stopped a t Starbucks for a hazelnut latte and then home to the house that threw up all over it’s self.


I started more laundry (why? I have no idea. I must be rather brainless

to add more.) And the dishwasher is running. I am off to get Gabrielle at school then clean up this house.

So I have one last thing to say.

Hi, all. We got home around 2pm. Kate's post sums it all up. Endoscopy looked good, and we'll get the biopsy results back on Tuesday. He's doing the pH probe now. So far, so good. He'll do the test and diet through Sunday afternoon. I'll try to be back later.

Quick updat on my family...

Mom goes for her second chemo treatmeant on 5/3 and her brother who was dx with cancer about 2 weeks after my dad, its just a matter of time.

I booked my air today for my free dining trip August 31 - September 5. I usually don't like to book this early but was afraid that with gas prices the way they are, fares would only go up. I didn't do too badly.

Outbound from Westchester County Airport (about 1.25 hours from home) leaving 8:20 a.m. and arrriving at MCO 10:55 a.m. Homebound leaving MCO at 6:20 p.m. and arriving at Westchester 9:00 p.m. - both non-stop. $434.20 total for two of us.

Now that it's booked, it does seem more "real" somehow. This trip was not planned at all until free dining came out.

Congratulations. I am still waiting as we can't find a decent airfare $300-$400 a piece. Times 6 that is way too much.
