The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 6

Dinner was so much fun. Julia and Lynn are wonderful. We had a really good time. We talked for 3+ hours. Poor waiter, we didn't even order for almost an hour 'cause we couldn't find the time to look at the menu. I had the Thai Steak Salad, Lynn had crab cakes and a salad, and Julia had the salmon salad. And of course we had Diet Coke to drink. I think we each had 3 or 4 glasses. All of us got cheesecake to go. Hunka, I got John the Oreo chocolate! I've had a little of my Carrot Cake Cheesecake. It's so rich. We're going to do a family cookout this summer with the kids and husbands. It was wonderful to meet some DDAers!

Here's a picture of us after dinner. BTW, Lynn commented on how her b**b makes my waist look so tiny! I told her she has to be in all my pictures from now on.

Paul and Marti -- it was nice having you both around last night. Even if I pooped out early, it was fun catching up!

Kate -- the new signatures are adorable! I will admit though, I did laugh at Paul's comment. I don't think we'll look at it that way for too long

Thanks again for lifting the family I mentioned up in prayer. Turns out the mom would not call that number we provided, because she didn't want him to end up in the hospital. I feel so terrible for her. She is usually very level-headed and keeps the kids first and foremost, but she's truly panicking over this situation. I guess it's hard to balance knowing that not only do you have this one child's safety to worry about, but anything with future implications could harm the other 7 as well I wouldn't want to trade places with her for a day....

The (sort of) good news is, she is keeping him home from school today and watching him like a hawk. She has an appointment with a pediatric psychiatrist tomorrow at 9am, so I suppose that's better than just completely putting it off until later.
