Finally caught up.

Well, Nicholas was supposed to have a soccer game at 830 this morning. I get up at 7 and call the cancellation line, because it is supposed to rain and storm here all day, but is not at the moment. None. So John and I get showered and ready. I call again before waking the kids. Still no cancellations. Get them up, fed, dressed. I pack water/snacks. Call again. Still none. Load up the car and head to the field. Guess what!! Just as we were pulling in they were locking the gates. They canceled the game 15 minutes before start time. I was soooo mad. And it still WASNT RAINING! My thoughts on this is everyone that had an 830 game was already on the road so you might as well play, and if it starts raining, then call the game. So when we got home I called Parks and Rec to find out who was in charge of cancelations. I will be sure to give her a call on Monday and let her know my thoughts.

Sorry for the rant. I needed to let off some steam.

Tammi,
I am so sorry that happened. I do know from the calls we get and then after talking to the person in charge that it is sometimes so very frustrating when making the decision to cancel. But I agree that there has to be a time limit when checking the cancel line that the game is played or not. But on the other side, it is hard to get the newest message in the system and wondering whether everyone hears it. If after the game starts, the rain gets bad or there is a threat of lightening, then it should be=== EVERYBODY OFF THE FIELD.

OK guys - I decided to avoid a p3 and make notes as I went along and post them all at once... only I'm still back on page 1600 and the post is really long already! So I'm posting it now and then I'll do another when I've read the remaining 50 pages :)

***************************
...

pg 1600 - Jen - I remember you saying you downloaded 6 days worth of DIsney podcasts, where did you get them from as they sound really interesting?

Nice job on the recap! When I get back to the other computer (maybe tomorrow, sorry) I'll PM you a list of the ones I found that are worthwhile :)

Yikes! You're a regular detective! :rotfl:

Goodness! Caught up finally, for now anyway

I just thought I'd post a disclaimer in preparation for this evening. When Glynis suggested we take pictures, I thought I'd offer to be the one BEHIND the camera. Then Amy comes in and just says she's going to take some too..... :sad2:

Please remember I haven't slept in 2 days. If anyone tells you after the fact that I did something stupid, or if you can see the bags under my eyes from a mile away, don't hold it against me! :rotfl:

Kyle on the other hand, is on his own ;)

Everyone behave today... PLEASE don't let me get back on here so that I can get stuff done and actually shower so I'm not the one getting kept out of Kate's! And please post nicely... I was a bit worried catching up, knowing I still had 50 pages to go. A little to de ja vu for me..... BE FRIENDS! :teeth:

Good morning, DDA! BTW, I can't keep secrets. So if you ask me questions, I'll answer honestly and reveal my identity. 1 person, our beloved Queen, was the only one to correctly guess so far.

You never said we had to ask who you are! You said So if you ask me questions, I'll answer honestly

So I asked you questions.

Now I will ask you again......

Don't make me put you in a small room w/ only mirrors, a table, a chair and one light shinning on you!

UPDATE: on 23 Apr 06
Disney DDA did reply to these questions, but I didn’t see it because she did it in stealth mode. She answered the questions w/I a quote but did not change the font so I passed right over it.

Disney DDA/ Denise please forgive me for my harsh demanding typing.

Stephanie pointed out to me that you answered the questions on page 1650 post 24741. Thank you Stephanie.

Did you try the microwave???

NO don't do that cause you will have a lump of plastic after a couple of minutes!!!

try the dryer again and stretch the strap over the back of the shoe and see it that helps.

Ahh - thanks Julia I'll give that a try - I was trying to stretch them by hand.

I totally forgot about that!!

Julie was in the pizza line - Amy was in charge of the kids (she is a very brave woman and yes I know my two were the only problems ) and I was in the other food line

so Amy and I had each given Julie our money for pizza -

then Julie tells us some other woman walked up to her and asked her to buy her pizza for her so she could get in the other food line

AND JULIE DID IT!!!!

we were cracking up laughing - who would go up to a complete stranger and ask her to buy her lunch for her?

Sorry to hear about that. I agree with you, it was not a good call to cnx that way.
But on a good note... your pumpkin is back, well somewhat.

Just stopping to say a quick hi before I put Alyssa down for her nap (she's currently watching one of her shows).

Tammi, Prince Phillip was in the Princess Room during MNSSHP, because it was raining. The year before, we saw him and Aurora together in Fantasyland. I'm pretty sure we bought the Aurora and Phillip costumes from The Disney Store in 2002, but I can't remember for sure, because we sold them on Ebay the next year. I know the Cinderella and Prince Charming costumes were made by Prestige costumes and we bought them from Costume City on the web. Again, we sold them on Ebay. I'm sorry after all that trouble the soccer game was cancelled...very frustrating!

Denise, I'm glad John is at least willing to dress up! Even Kevin has his limits...he refused to wear tights, hence he chose John instead of Peter Pan. :confused3

Now Julia, tell Aubrey he's no fun! :lmao:

Paula, your pictures are so cute! :goodvibes

Clare, you're so dedicated to catching up! :thumbsup2

Jennifer, Kate, and Julie, see you in a few hours.

I apologize if I've missed something important. The show is over, so it's Alyssa's naptime and I need to get to the store to buy the ingredients for my cole slaw (bag of chopped cabbage and Marzetti's cole slaw dressing)! :teeth:

Hope everyone has a great day!
Amy :)

Don't sell any more costumes on ebay.... put them on the PDZ for people to use/ give small donation and so on.

Well, I can't believe it, but I am all caught up. I'm going to do the 40 minutes on the computer and then 15 minutes of housework trick.

It is pouring outside. I already went to the bank and bought lunch.

Who suggested Flylady? Whomever it was, thank you from the bottom of my disorganized little heart.... I can't believe how much I have accomplished today with very little effort.

Plus, with the 40 minutes of computer time reward, I'm getting all kinds of stuff done. Downloading pictures, getting them into albums, dising, next I'm going to download my Disney video that I haven't even watched yet! I don't even remember what I video-taped during my trip!

So I am cleaning the kitchen, den and my bedroom, paying bills, clearing off my dresser!! , filing, balancing my accounts and for my reward, I am playing with my computer!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I must have been in laa laa land during the FlyLady thing. Who is it? Web link please? Thank you.

It's Denise!

She did bash Crush with this....
Crush! We haven't been bashing turtles. In fact, we love turtles. So, dude, back off, chill out, and give us back the damn pumpkin. some of us work and have other responsibilities and will not be bullied or intimidated. No design from me.

Denise? Why Denise?
Because:
1. Denise has been to WDW many times as a child, with her grandmother I believe.
2. Denise honeymooned there 10 years ago.
3. Denise, John, and figs went in Nov. 05
4. you always and Denise always seem to be posting aroundabout the same timeframe.

:teeth:

Now, you said you would answer if we asked, so is it yes or no?
