Oh my Gosh I hardly know where to begin! I came in to tell you all your prayers are working for me!!! We went to court with Joe's ex on Mon. and it went really well for us.I am praying so hard that we will get custody of Jonathan. We have been in such a funk around this house for months and months. It's like a weight lifted off of us on Mon. afternoon. We still have a ways to go but it's looking very good for us! :sunny:

Our neighbor Mr.Wilson is doing better. He's awake and responding .I don't know what the prognosis is by I just TG he didn't die.

Yay! I'm so glad that things are looking up for you! We've really missed you here! Take care of yourself.

That's as good as it gets from me. Cooking dinner, DH not home, making Pot luck, packing lunches, doing laundry. take it or leave it, Crush!

I called up some reinforcements and was given a list of all the Disney turtles. I am not a designer, but maybe someone wants to take this on.

Good morning, DDA. I'd be grateful for PD and prayers for my Aunt. This is my Aunt Dot, and she is my dad's sister. Most of my family lives in a family complex -- land bought by my grandfather many years ago that is in the city limits, but has a tank and cows on it. Anyway, I'm very close to Aunt Dot. We found out yesterday that she needs surgery tomorrow morning for her Carotid artery. It's 75 - 95% blocked, and they can't use a stent -- need to go in and clean it out. It will be a couple of hours for the surgery, then ICU (she's 75) and then home after a couple of days.

I've seen what has happened when the DDA puts it's collective power behind something, so I'd be grateful for your prayers.

Done, Marci. Please let us know how she's doing.

I hate my screen name! I registered very quickly to ask one simple question and didn't give the name any thought. Now I'm stuck with it.

Beth

That's exactly the way I feel. Oh well, there's no way I'm giving up my post count to start over.

Ok, I just have to share this. I was on the a website trying to figure out some details for our trip... when I noticed the price had gone DOWN!! They NEVER go down, ever -- or so I'm told. So I call to see whats up (at the advice of a DISer) and got a $440.00 refund! Well, I don't HAVE it yet because it's being refunded to a bank account we no longer have.... but I'm GETTING one!

Do we overlap at Epcot the day you are contemplating the tour? If so, maybe I could get FP for you. I'm not sure if Terra will be tall enough yet or if she'll want two rides if she is, plus we'll have another Epcot morning later in the week to go again. I wouldn't mind using my FP option for you if you want to do the tour.

Only in my dreams am I going to be able to go to the DDA meet and the Segway tour. I was just wondering about the fast pass thing. Someday I'll get there.

Kate -- Since Cinderumbrella and I are both going to be using Amy's famous cookie recipe soon, do you think you could put it into a pretty layout? Mine is to accompany a bridal shower gift. I told you what else is going with it in my PM the other day (being subtle in case she pop on this thread). I'll PM you the directions Amy emailed me this morning.

Amy -- Thank you for the recipe. I never have luck with sugar cookies, so your directions and tips are great!

Ok, I'm off to get a haircut and run some errands. I have to exchange the TWO extra copies of Narnia that we got for Easter. It's nice to know that my inlaws realize I am a Disney fan..... but don't they know how much? Not to mention how OBSESSED my family is with the Narnia books (and anything else by CS Lewis). Even if not, they know how Kyle is when it comes to movies..... it came out April 4th! ;) (I really am grateful, it was just fun to try and dote about the movie and how much we do love it without letting them know we've already watched in on DVD a few times! :rotfl: )

Have a good afternoon!

Ok, this just reminded me of a funny story. When Alan and I were first married, for Christmas that year we didn't have a lot of money, and I wanted my present to him to be something special and meaningful. His favorite movie of all time is the Sound of Music. So I bought the VHS copy, wrapped it up beautifully and displayed it under the tree. Fast forward to Christmas morning. He opens my present and begins to laugh hysterically. Handing me my present, he tells me to open it. I do, and what do I find? The exact same VHS copy of the Sound of Music. We had a good laugh about that, and it became the family joke for all my siblings.

Well, a couple of years ago, DH opened my Christmas present to him and finds the DVD copy of the Sound of Music. He screams, "NO, NO, NO." I just look at him and shake my head. "You didn't." I say. He begins to laugh. I open my present and find yet another copy of the Sound of Music on DVD.

Can you hold onto the fact that, having been through it once, it will be easier to get through it this time? I know that's cold comfort, but at least you know that Rees being older will work to his advantage with this, right?

If you need anything, please let me know! You can count on me to continue the prayers for you and for Rees! Sometimes that's all we can do. Just pray and trust that there is a plan in place. We may not be able to see the entire plan, but it is there, and a loving Heavenly Father is in charge and will hold Rees in His arms through this whole thing. While it's going on, let us be your strength. Come to us to vent, scream, cry, whatever, and we will hold you up through it all!

We love you, Denise! Forever and always!

Glynis just made me totally teary!

The people on this thread are super friends, more than just regular friends because they are always there, always supportive, always giving, never too wrapped up in their own lives to care. The friendships on here remind me of how women's friendships used to be (yes, I know we have men on this thread too), like for my mom. She was closer to her friends than to her husband. Nowadays with everyone working, I find it harder and harder to find/maintain close girlfriendships. I have lots of friends, sure, but not always in the way we vent, lean, pray and spread pixie dust for each other on here. You all are fantastic!!

That sounds like a fun job. But then again I bet he sees things we never want to.

That's for sure. He does some fun stuff, like trips with the Olympics, etc., but then he does stories that just make him come home, grab the kids and not let go for hours.

A couple of years ago, he did a story about a man who was scoping out a site for deer hunting. He had his 2 year old son in the truck with him. The little boy fell asleep while they were driving to the location, so the dad decides not to wake him up. He leaves the boy in the car, and walks away to scout for about 20 minutes. By the time he gets back to the truck, the boy is gone. Search and rescue is called and they spend 4 days looking for the little guy. They finally found him, frozen to death about 5 miles away from the truck. He had walked so far, the feet of his pajamas were worn away. The father was crazy with grief. The police charged him with reckless endangerment, and he went to trial. He was found guilty, and on the day of his sentencing, he didn't show up at the court house. When he was found, he was at the spot where his son died. He'd taken his shotgun and blown his head off.

Alan was photog on that story all through the search, trial and death of the father. It was a horrible time.

Lately, though, he's got enough seniority that he can kind of pick and choose his stories. Thank heaven!

I've done both ways. I was just wondering what you did. Not doing the bath makes it a lot easier!

Glynis did you already submit your info???

How am I supposed to keep up with you?

Nope, not yet. My computer froze up last night, and I took it as a sign. I'm planning on doing it in the next day or two.

I think I'm the one who has to worry about keeping up with you! I don't get to DL as often as I would like to.
