Which cruise are you going on? We're doing the Western for the first time, and I'm worried about excursions.

We are doing the first official double dip to Castaway Cays leaving on 27th May.
We did CC twice on a previous cruise and loved it, the kids don't know yet as or some unknown reason we decided not to tell them :confused3
What date is your cruise???

Yay, and hopefully the second half will go by really fast now that its nice outside and there is more to do!!!

Any thoughts one way or another as to what your having??

When I was pregnant w/ Kyle, he told everybody that I was having a baby and we were going to call her Emma, even though we constantly referred to her as Carli or Caroline which is her full name. He insisted her name was Emma from the day of our ultra-sound until the day she was born!!!

Girl, I live in the deep south where it's almost 90 degrees and HUMID already. My behind will be inside as much as possible! It never fails when someone asks me when I'm due and I tell them Sept. 3rd the first thing they say is boy it's going to be a miserable summer for you

Honestly, I think it's a boy and I've thought that all along. It really doesn't matter to Brian or me either way. Christopher wanted a brother really bad until the other day when he said he wants a sister :confused3

Caroline is my first choice for a girl's name :) . What's her middle name?

They're cuter in person :)

Those are really cute, if I showed my kids all these great cupcakes eveyone is making they would want to bake and it being passover they can't but next weekend I may let them make some for school.

Those are cute! My youngest loves Peeps...not to eat, she keeps them as pets!! I have tons of fossilized peeps all over my house!! Bill ate one once...she cried. It was sad but funny...he bought her a bunch more to make up for his transgression!!

Blimey - Easter over there sounds like a second Christmas! All we get on this side of the pond is a chocolate egg and four days off work!

For some it is like a second Christmas...not in this house so much....some candy, DVDs we would have given anyway and a stuffed animal(this one only because they were on sale and SOOOO cute!!). Usually in my house it's candy and that be it!!

But I have heard of people spending hundreds of dollars on baskets....I would love to be able to have that amount of money laying around to do that for my girls.....have to win the lottery first!! :lmao:

Those are SO cute, I love them!!! I have to make those for sure!!!

I absolutely LOVE peeps, it is my absolute favorite Easter candy!! Tonight Kyle was making up a song about the 12 days of Easter (like the 12 days of Christmas) and I was helping him think of things to say for the days. For the sixth day I said 6 purple peeps, a couple of minutes later he started gagging. I asked him if he felt sick and he said no I just don't like peeps and just the thought of them is making me gag :guilty: !!! I can't believe he is my son and doesn't like peeps!!! Although Dave only likes them if they sit out and get stale and hard, I thought it was weird when he told me this but they are really good this way!!! Although I don't think that Kyle felt good at all tonight but didn't want to tell us that because of it being Easter tomorrow!!! Hope he's better in the morning!!!
They were so easy! I don't like Peeps but Brian and Christopher do. I took the peep off and just ate the cupcake, which was awesome! I used Duncan Hines golden butter yellow cake mix and cream cheese icing! YUM!

My mom has asked me to come during my vacation time and she lives 5 minutes from BWI.......hmmmmmmm, something to ponder.

Now back to your regularly scheduled chat while I catch up on 40+pages.

Hi all!

Sorry I missed the Minnie/Mickey talk last night! I almost spilled my Diet Coke all over the keyboard!!

While you were chatting we had our first fire in our outdoor fireplace last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH spent all last summer building our patio and the fireplace and we finally finished it the weekend before we went to WDW. By the time we got back it was too cold in the evenings to enjoy it :(. The whole block came down to help us celebrate- we had a ball!
Here's a picture of it:

Denise (and anyone else interested) - I went to Babies R Us today to return the Chicco stroller that I bought in Feb and is already feeling rickety. While I was there, Terra was asleep so I test drove the Maclaren Triumph (yes, I moved a sleeping Terra to the Maclaren to get the feel for her weight in it and how it looked comfort wise for her). I also spent about 45 minutes folding it one handed (does so pretty easily btw), comparing it in size to me Peg Perego and comparing the Triumph to the Quest and Volo. The Quest is about $60 more than the Triumph. The Volo is about $40 cheaper than the Triumph. I will be getting the Triumph and think it might work well for Rees to.

The only differences between the Triumph and the Quest that I could tell were the following:
Q has a small window in the canopy and the T doesn't.
T has a strap holding up the seat back and can be losened to recline as little or much as you want.
Q has two recline positions that adjust by bars on the side (but very easily also)
Q has extenders that allow the seat to extend further to support baby's legs
T just has the shorter seat for older kids
T weighs 12lbs, Q weights 13lbs.
Otherwise they were the same

The differences between Triumph and Volo:
V's seat is plastic mesh, T's is fabric
V does not recline at all
V weighs 9lbs, T weighs 12lbs

Hope that helps some! I am definitely going to order the Triumph. I figure that if I can get it for $110 with free shipping as I've found on several sites, then that isn't much more than one week's rentals at WDW and we're going at least twice in the next year.

Thank you so much!

Glynis, I made the Strawberry Daiquiri as a cake. It's in the oven now, but it's taking longer than the time listed on the recipe. I hope it turns out good.

Also, I used real rum per DH's request.

I made ours today. I did a 13X9 cake instead of cupcakes, and it took about 5 minutes longer than the recipe stated. I wonder if the rum changed things? I wouldn't know. Let me know how it turns out! Mine smelled heavenly, and boy do I wish I could eat some. I'm being very good tomorrow, though.

Well that wasn't TOO much of a task to catch up! :)

Kyle and I are off to the zoo (yes again). They have Easter activities for the animals, and it's always a riot to watch! :teeth:

Have a good day!

I hope you have a membership to the Zoo....if we didn't it would be $40 every time we wanted to go in :confused3 . For $20 more you can become have a membership for a year. The year(s) we've had the pass we go about 8 times a year. We love the Denver zoo it just needs to be closer to home :teeth: .

Whew I am SO relieved!!! I bought a new scale today at Target, when I weighed my self it was up by 5lbs from when I went to the Dr. on Thursday. I was kind of depressed about it because I was super motivated after going to the Dr. and seeing my progress. I just went in and looked at the scale again and realized that it was actually starting on 10lbs instead of 0. So I adjusted it and now it looks like I lost another 3 lbs!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I feel So good just to finally be losing weight, I was in a rut for a while and could not get motivated. I also bought 2 new dresses today. I really liked both of them a lot. I was trying them on again when I got home. I thought that the one was a little snug, but decided to keep it anyway because it was SO cute. I thought it was a 14, that's what size I am currently in, I thought that I checked it for sure. But when I looked at the tag when I got home it was actually a size 10 :cool1: :cool1: !!!

Sorry to ramble I am just really psyched!!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: That is so cool, Julie! Congrats on the weight loss lately and especially the dress.

Update on Cody- He is going in to the Vet on Tuesday morning, I don't know how long that he will have to stay or when we will get the results back. He isn't being very active but I don't know if that is from the tumor or because it is starting to get warmer outside. He is never really what I would call overly active so this really doesn't mean anyting. I just put a call into the vet to see if he might be in any pain or if there is anything that we should/can be doing fro him...Thanks again for all of your kind word, and prayers!!!

Julie

I am still trying to catch up but wanted to say that I'll be thinking about Cody and your family!!
